"It would have been great if there was beer to go with this." After hearing everyone's praise for the grilled at, Oscar couldn't help think about his previous life.
Soon, his mind drifted to the mory of his massacred family in this world, back to the ti when the village workers would go to the night market after working hard during the day.
The scene of them eating roasted at together as a clan.
"Beer?" Zachar ca over, and asked curiously. "Is that a drink of so sort? Is it sothing delicious?"
The young plant druid was usually very sensitive when it ca to food and good drinks. When Oscar ntioned beer, his first impression was a good after al drink.
Hearing the questions, Yara glared at Zachar. "By the gods, Zacharoo, all you know is food and drinks. How can you be a foodie at such a young age, and still want to be a refiner? I'm afraid you can only be a food champion in the future."
"See who's talking." Zachar imdiately pushed back. "Aren't you just a foodie too? You already ate half of the freshly grilled at. We don't even have enough to eat, yet you calling a foodie. Who's the big foodie now?"
As soon as Zachar finished speaking, a ball of fire flew over his head, and the frightened boy jumped up and ran away.
"Don't run if you have the guts. I won't answer my na anymore if I don't make you so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside." Yara grabbed the at skewer with her left hand, and while eating, she stretched out her right hand and sent fireballs after the fleeing druid.
Maya, on the other hand, was very quiet. Sitting at the table, she ate the grilled at, wholeheartedly, watching the two of them argue. It felt like she was enjoying their big show.
Lester was indeed like a big brother. Seeing that everyone only ate at and had no drink to wash it down, he went back to their domain and brought a jar of sweet honey ale.
"Oh, what's that delicious sll?" Oberon suddenly walked in, a tender smile on his face. In his hand was a bag of smoked ham from the Old Dockery.
Knowing the students were already having their fill of sothing enticing, he shook his head in resignation. Smoked ham had been long forgotten.
Seeing Oberon back from his journey, elder Calder passed him a questioning look, and Oberon just shook his head slightly in response.
Oscar imdiately grabbed a handful of roasted at, and ran to the branch master. "Master, you ca back just in ti. You need to taste what we prepared from today's hunt."
Oberon put the smoked ham on the table, and took so of the at skewers, slling them with his eyes closed. "Hmm, not bad. Who ca up with this idea? So unique."
The magic teacher chomped on a big mouthful, and nodded while eating. In terms of eating, Oberon had already gotten in the mix with his students. So,he was not reserved at all.
While eating, Oberon asked them. "How have you all been doing?"
Zachar imdiately took the lead and shouted. "Master, we have been practicing very hard. Nothing but practicing."
"Really?" Oberon bit the last piece of at, and said, "Okay, since that's the case, then you won't mind checking your progress. Zachar, you can co up first. "
"Master, do you want to be the first to start again?" Zachar reluctantly put the at skewers in his hands back into the plate on the table, got up and walked to the open place.
Then he took out a seed from his pocket, and an athyst crystal, a little bigger than a moon crescent, manifested before him.
The seed in his hand exploded in an instant, turning into a vine whip, and countless dense spikes protruded from the vine whip.
Then, he ran towards a big tree in front of him, and swung the vine whip in his hand in quick succession, creating several deep slashes on the tree.
Suddenly, the vine whip disappeared from the his hand, and a sharp cone-shaped thorn, more than a foot long, appeared in its place. He raised the thorns with both hands, his body arcing backwards, and pushed forward with all his strength.
With resounding impact, the thorns slamd into the tree trunk, creating a big hole the size of a fist, deep in the tree.
Soon afterwards, the hole in the tree disappeared, along with the slashes. It was as if the tree had never been hit at all. Only the fallen leaves all over the ground told everyone that the scene just now, really happened.
After watching Zachar's performance, Oberon nodded with satisfaction and said, "Okay, not bad for a beginner, but that's just basic magic. You should now be practicing long-range attack magic. As you all know, if your defense is not strong enough like the fighters, like Lester, you have to go on the offense to defeat the enemy. You must be controlling your attacks from a distance, not letting your enemy get close to you, or else, you'll be in serious trouble. Do you understand?"
"Yes, master." Zachar bowed his head, and spoke softly. "I will definitely practice more powerful long-range attack magic from now on."
After speaking, Zachar glanced at Yara from the corner of his eyes, thinking: When I learn long-range attack magic, we'll see who will be running then.
"Yara, you're next."
Yara imdiately stood up, turned around and walked towards the empty field, as an essence crystal, the size of a saucepan, appeared out of thin air beside her.
When Yara stretched out her right hand, a ball of fla appeared on her palm, and it continued to expand. When the ball of fla reached the size of a large sphere, ii split into five smaller balls of fla, which were suspended in front of her.
The young pyromancer stretched out her right arm and pulled the five balls of fla together to form an arc in the air, and then pointed forward. The five fire balls rotated in the air for a mont, and then rushed towards a dead tree, twenty ters away from her.
Although the five fireballs moved twenty ters, their power was still undiminished. They hit the dead wood one after another, releasing clusters of sparks.
More impressively, they all hit the sa point on the tree trunk, engulfing it in flas.
In a swift motion, Yara ran to the front of the dead tree, stretched out her right palm and retrieved the fla. After circling in the air for a few seconds, the fla disappeared into nothingness.
"Very good." Oberon also nodded and said. "You really have great fire control, and your long-range attack power is very good too. Continue to practice harder, and you'll be unstoppable."
Yara moved to the side happily, pulling face at Zachar.
"But master..." When Zachar saw their master praising Yara in this manner, he quickly interjected. "...Yara's good control of fire is also due to my effort. I've been practicing with her every day."
Everyone burst into laughter after hearing this. Yea, he wasn't wrong. They all knew Yara had been using Zachar as her target practice.
"Yes, Zachar. She needs to thank you for that, I believe." Oberon also smiled slightly, and after waiting for everyone to finish laughing, he said. "Lester, it's your turn."
