Mika took a step forward to the door.
"Stay here for the night, Mika. It’s already late and you surely don’t want to cause a ruckus for other people so late in the night, right?" Belian said.
Mika averted his gaze frustrated.
"It’s about Gerard Armwright, am I correct? I also happened to hear about his case and that you went after him."
With big eyes, Mika turned to Belian.
"He ca back weeks ago so don’t worry. You will see him tomorrow most likely."
"I agree with Belian. It’s better for everyone if you sleep here tonight." Harik said.
"Yes. You can use Sylvia’s room for tonight. I don’t think that she would mind that." Rachel stated.
"Of course, this place has even more rooms, but they are completely empty. There’re not even beds in them." she added.
"Wait, wait, wait. Sylvia’s room? Where will she sleep then?"
Mika blushed a little at the thought of sleeping in her bed, however, he now started to wonder about her whereabouts.
They were currently in the dorms for Belian’s class and yet, there was no trace of Sylvia.
"She isn’t at the academy at the mont. To be honest, I can’t even rember when I saw her the last ti." she replied with a sigh.
"Huh? What does that an?"
"She and a girl from the red class started to go out on multiple missions a month ago. And every ti they ca back, they would depart the next day again."
"A girl from the red class...?" he muttered.
In his mind, it was safe to say that the girl was Lily.
"I heard that they went on a new mission yesterday so I can’t say when they will return here."
"But are they even allowed to go out so often? Don’t they have to attend classes?" Mika asked.
"It depends on the person and class. For example, we, students from the white class, are free to choose if we want to go to lessons or not. I don’t know how it works for lower classes, but certain students can get permission from the teachers based on their rank and score from the writing exam." Belian explained.
"I see..."
This made clear why Lily, a red student, could be absent as often as Sylvia.
If he rembered correctly, then Lily was an academically gifted person.
"They’re your original teammates, right? You’ll be surprised if you see them again, haha!" Harik laughed.
"?"
"Those two are more beasts than humans..." Rachel comnted, shaking her head sideways.
[It seems like they trained hard during the ti you were sleeping like a rock.]
"Was the last part really necessary...?" Mika murmured in response to the system.
"Did you say anything?" Rachel asked curiously.
"O-oh, no... Nothing... Hahaha..."
He laughed wryly to distract her.
Then, Rachel took a look at the ti.
"I don’t know about you guys, but I will go to bed now." she announced as she stood up.
"I think I will do a short study session before heading to bed. What about you Belian?" Harik asked.
"I still have to do my daily workout. Mika, do you want to join ?"
"A workout this late? Sorry, but I will pass on that..." Mika replied with an awkward smile.
"I see."
Thus, everyone went their separate ways.
"Let show you the way to Sylvia’s room." Harik said.
Mika and Harik went up the stairs.
Sylvia’s room was located in the middle of the floor.
"Thanks."
"No problem. If you have any problems, you can find in the room right above you."
Following those words, Harik left and went up the stairs.
"..."
[What is wrong? Why are you staring at the door?]
"Well... Isn’t it kind of weird if I sleep in her room without her permission? At the end of the day, she is a girl."
[Then, do you want to sleep with either Harik or Belian?]
Mika opened the door.
"Good point."
The instant he entered the room, the fresh night breeze caressed his cheeks.
"Did she forget to close the windows before she left?"
He took a glance at the room.
It was almost identical to Ophelia’s room.
"So white-class students get the sa treatnt as the teachers, huh?"
However, there was a clear difference.

Mika looked down on the ground.
Everywhere on the ground were Sylvia’s clothes scattered. From pants, skirts and shorts to shirts and sweaters. Everything was there on the ground ssily.
Truly everything was visible. Including her underwear.
"Just how ssy is this girl..." he remarked, slightly embarrassed.
When he averted his gaze, he saw that her closet was open.
He turned his neck.
There was a table with a few docunts there.
"..."
Despite knowing that he should mind his own business, he threw a quick glance at it.
"!"
But that quick glance turned into a careful analysis.
"Suspicious individuals spotted... Probably at least A ranks... Mission is to neutralize them..."
"Sea monsters erged from Malnor’s west coast... Need help."
Mika continued to read more papers.
He was more than just simply stunned.
Mika pald his face.
"Those two are unbelievable, haha..." he chuckled lightly in amazent.
During his absence, Sylvia and Lily took on many S-rank quests.
"Jeez, how many quests did they do?" he wondered with a smile.
He started to count.
"!"
However, he accidentally clenched the papers when a certain quest caught his attention.
"..."
[Interesting...]
Mika could not close his mouth again.
[I am impressed that they went for this challenge.]
The quest stated the following:
C-rank demon sighted. Subjugate it.
Mika looked at the piece of paper thoroughly.
Sylvia had the habit of scribbling check marks at the bottom right of every quest she completed.
The quests, Mika just went through, all had those checks, but only the demon subjugation remained untouched at that spot, aning that they departed for the quest yesterday.
"Why did they choose this quest..." he said slightly furious.
[I assu that they can handle this. It is a C-rank demon after all. Not only is an S-rank teacher accompanying them, but a C-rank demon is also a lot weaker than a B-rank.]
Mika sighed.
"If you say so..."
He still could not shake the feeling of worry away.
It was a long ti since he saw them so he did not know how strong they were now, however from what he saw and knew, a B-rank demon was too much for them to handle.
He rembered how he and Ophelia were struggling against Zantar, who was a B-rank demon.
The system may have told him that the cliff between B and C-rank demons was great, but he was still worried.
Or was it not worry, but rather sothing else?
Was it maybe doubt?
He shook his head and put the quests on the table again.
"I guess I should sleep for now."
Mika headed to Sylvia’s bed, whose pillows and sheets were also scattered on the bed wildly.
"Did she really just co ho just to sleep...?"
He sighed again and went to bed.
"I wonder when they will co back...?" he muttered with his eyes half-open.
Would it take a few days just like when they fought against Zantar? Or would it take a week? Or even a month?
Even though it was just a C-rank, Mika still could not stop thinking about the quest.
"Why are they even trying so hard and doing one quest after another?"
Mika was not able to find a plausible reason for their enthusiasm, thus he decided to close his eyes and tried to get so sleep.
The next day was about to be chaotic after all.
At the sa ti, in a city south of Loogam and a day’s trip away.
Cindy Werensten, the red class’ teacher, was on the roof of a high building, which had approximately ten stories.
Sitting on the edge with her legs kicking in the air, she indifferently watched certain students a few buildings away from her.
They arrived in the city yesterday evening.
Their current mission was to subjugate a C-rank demon in the city. And fortunately, it was a low C-rank demon.
She and her students already found said demon the mont they arrived. Usually, they had to kill it on the spot. However, her students had a different plan.
A sigh was heard beside Cindy.
"I guess, it’s her win this ti..."
The teacher turned to the person beside her.
"Well, she’s an S-rank, Lily..." she said with a cranky smile.
It was Lily, whom Cindy was talking to.
"But... But I was so close yesterday! I was just tired from the trip, okay?" Lily pouted.
Cindy sighed.
"It’s the first ti I ever heard people turning a demon subjugation into a competition..."
She turned her attention back to her other student.
Sylvia.
"Tch..." Sylvia clicked her tongue.
The area around her was frozen and spikes made of ice were on the walls of the nearby buildings.
"It escaped again."
Sylvia turned in the direction of Cindy and Lily.
"Guess I couldn’t beat it alone either before it escaped."
