Mo Yang carefully unfolded the ancient scroll, his eyes scanning it as his breath grew increasingly hurried.
Inside the scroll, not only were there alchemy formulas, but also over a hundred different dicinal recipes.
Many of the elixirs, just by their nas, appeared extraordinary. The scroll had already yellowed with age, clearly a relic from a distant past. Many of the recipes were likely lost to ti, with the key detail being that each recipe ca with a description of its effects and uses.
Mo Yang's hands trembled slightly, his excitent swelling beyond asure. He never imagined that the second floor of the stone tower would hide such a treasure. For cultivators, mastering alchemy was like obtaining an endless treasury for cultivation.
He understood all too well what this ancient scroll ant for him. With these alchemy formulas and recipes, all he needed was the right ingredients, and he could begin crafting pills. With the aid of these elixirs, he would grow stronger at an even faster pace.
Suppressing his excitent, Mo Yang closed the scroll and began searching around.
However, the one thing that disappointed him was that the ntal cultivation thod of the Star Emperor Scripture, which was supposed to be on the second floor, hadn’t appeared. The walls of the tower showed no signs of change.
"Probably because my cultivation hasn’t reached the Heavenly Profound Realm yet... Never mind, let first familiarize myself with alchemy," he muttered.
For the next few days, Mo Yang imrsed himself in studying the alchemy formulas. While alchemy wasn’t as mysterious as cultivation techniques, each formula had its unique characteristics, and the key was mastering the subtle techniques and details—practice made perfect.
Of course, Mo Yang overlooked two crucial factors—alchemy furnaces and refining flas. After all, there were already ready-made furnaces within the tower, so he didn’t have to worry about them.
For him, everything was set, except for the ingredients.
"Ingredients... Looks like I’ll have to check out the Lingxu Sect’s treasury," Mo Yang pondered, frowning. Although the Lingxu Sect wasn’t particularly strong, it had been around for hundreds of years, and their treasury likely contained many valuable items.
While he could buy ingredients at the local apothecaries in the nearby cities, Mo Yang felt it would be a waste to ignore the resources right at his fingertips.
The sect’s treasury, however, was usually guarded by elders, making it nearly impossible to enter undetected.
But that afternoon, as Mo Yang ditated in his courtyard, a familiar presence appeared within his senses. When he recognized it as Su Fei'er, his heart imdiately lightened. He had been struggling with how to access the sect’s treasury, and now the key had practically arrived.
"Mo Yang, co out, you bastard!"
Unlike the last ti, when she sneaked around, Su Fei'er burst into the courtyard, imdiately shouting at him.
Mo Yang slowly opened his eyes, frowning as he said, "What do you want now? Isn’t the last fiasco enough? You had to strip down and jump off the wooden peak just to make a scene?"
"How dare you be so shaless! You actually went to ask my father for my hand in marriage? Don’t even think about it—I will never marry you, even if I die!" Su Fei'er said angrily, her face flushed with fury.
"I... What?" Mo Yang was confused.
Proposing marriage? What nonsense was this?
After thinking for a mont, he suspected that it was probably the old Senior Elder behind this, but after a brief reflection, a smile slowly spread across his face.
He looked up at the furious Su Fei'er, raised his hands in surrender, and said, "Look, Miss Su, don’t bla for this. You were the one who insisted that I harassed you, and made it a public spectacle. If I didn’t act this way, I would’ve earned a reputation for leaving after satisfying my desires without a care."
Mo Yang stood up, giving Su Fei'er a sowhat mischievous look. "And honestly, after looking closely, I realize you’re not too bad. Your looks may not be the most beautiful in the kingdom, but they’re still passable. As for your figure... well, well, quite nice. Quite large!"
"You bastard, if you keep looking at like that, I’ll dig your eyeballs out!" Su Fei'er was livid, turning her body away and glaring at him coldly.
Right now, she felt Mo Yang was nothing but a rogue, and not one she could easily bully. His stubbornness made him unyielding, and his cultivation was higher than hers. She couldn’t do anything to him.
At that mont, Su Fei'er regretted her earlier actions. Had she known this would happen, she would never have caused such a scene. Now, everyone in the sect was wondering if Mo Yang had truly done sothing to her, and every ti they looked at her, there was sothing off about their gaze.
Seeing Su Fei'er’s frustrated expression, Mo Yang coughed a few tis and said seriously, "If you want things to calm down, I can help. But first, you’ll have to do a favor!"
Su Fei'er frowned slightly, her willow-like eyebrows knitting as she coldly snorted, "Do you think I’ll believe your lies?"
Mo Yang shrugged helplessly. "Believe it or not, it's up to you."
Seeing that she didn’t respond, he continued, "My request is simple. I need a few dicinal ingredients. If you bring them to , we can part ways and stay out of each other’s business."
Su Fei'er eyed him suspiciously. Mo Yang caught her gaze and hurriedly went into the house to retrieve a piece of paper. It was a list of the dicinal ingredients needed for the pills he planned to try crafting, with the exact quantities noted.
"These are common ingredients. You’re the sect leader’s daughter; it should be no problem for you to just take a quick trip to the treasury!" Mo Yang said as he handed her the list.
Su Fei'er had no other choice. After a mont of hesitation, she took the list, glanced over it, and then spoke to Mo Yang. "If you don’t keep your word, I’ll make sure you beco a eunuch!"
Mo Yang watched as Su Fei'er stord out of the courtyard, his expression one of surprise. He knew she was feisty, but he hadn’t expected her to be this fiery. Recalling the look in her eyes as she left, he couldn’t help but feel a cold chill run down his spine.
"Ugh, this girl... I should avoid making her mad in the future."
After muttering to himself, he turned and entered the house. He planned to study the alchemy furnace. As for the marriage proposal nonsense, it had nothing to do with him.
Two hours later, Su Fei'er returned. She tossed a spatial ring at Mo Yang and coldly said, "Everything you wanted is in here."
Mo Yang took the ring and, after checking it, smiled with delight. There was far more than he had requested. Su Fei'er had likely not even bothered to check, simply stuffing the ingredients in haphazardly.
