On the second day of Anna Thornton’s movie shoot, Henry Willow visited her on set.
He also went out of his way to order a thousand roses from the flower shop.
When those roses were delivered to the set, Anna Thornton looked at them, feeling nothing but troubled.
"Our small budget crew is already pretty shabby, where do we find space for so many flowers?"
With that much thought, Anna Thornton would rather have Henry Willow order two hundred lunch boxes, which would be more useful than these roses that can only be looked at, not eaten.
"Is my romantic gesture just going to be dismissed like that?" Henry Willow complained dramatically, "I read the news that the crew next door received flowers yesterday, so I ca to support you today."
Whether or not there was a show of support didn’t matter to Anna Thornton; she was just a bit worried: "If you make such a big scene sending flowers, won’t Miss Grant make a fuss if she finds out?"
"No, she won’t! These flowers aren’t actually from to you..." Henry Willow leaned close to Anna Thornton, whispering, "They’re from Young Master Sterling."
"Him?"
"Young Master Sterling is in an awkward position right now, but I know what goes on in his mind," Henry Willow confidently proclaid, "As a true friend, I can tell he prefers roses over lilies with just one glance."
"Tch, if these flowers were from you, I might barely find space for them. If they’re from him, take them away; I don’t want them!"
"Co on!" Henry Willow was counting on Anna, the little witch, to ta Young Master Sterling.
In the future, whenever Young Master Sterling had soone to challenge him at his side, he could enjoy a good show.
"Are you really planning to give up? Want to help you out? Once my powerful assistance kicks in, it never fails, but there is a steep appearance fee. Have you thought about how you’ll compensate ?" Henry Willow was still trying to persuade Anna Thornton.
"Forget it, I’ve already said I won’t chase him."
"Young Master Sterling is honestly just a little awkward, but you have to trust my judgnt, he definitely likes you! Plus, he has a secret he can’t disclose!"
"I don’t care for that kind of unspoken affection. With Conrad Sterling’s irritating temper, I don’t want anything to do with it. Regardless of any secrets he has, I can’t understand them."
"Even if Young Master Sterling has a bit of a temper, you see how I’ve been his friend for so many years, and we get along just fine, right? Although sotis when I cross him, he takes down without any consideration for brotherly ties, wrecks thoroughly, but I still beca a charming, elegant young man adored by countless girls, you can see he’s not that hard to endure."
Henry Willow resembled a street vendor eagerly selling healthcare products.
Anna Thornton looked at his ingratiating smile, as if he was afraid she wouldn’t fall into the trap.
Otherwise, he’d be the only one left suffering in the pit.
Anna Thornton beckoned to Henry Willow, who imdiately leaned in.
"Do you want to be with him?"
"Yes, if Young Master Sterling really gets engaged to Marilyn Ford, he’ll regret it for sure. If he sulks in secret, that’s one thing, but I’m afraid if he gets in a bad mood, he’ll take it out on people around him."
When that happens, Henry Willow, as his best and only brother, would be the first to bear the brunt.
It’s not sothing he idly speculates about, as Henry Willow has already beco a victim of Conrad Sterling’s unfulfilled emotions.
Recently, Young Master Sterling has been asking him out for drinks every night, preventing Henry Willow from going to bars alone to flirt with girls for quite so ti.
Every ti Conrad Sterling gets upset over sothing related to Anna Thornton, he looks for Henry Willow to drink with.
Henry Willow has already concluded that, to return to a normal nightlife, he must first make sure Young Master has ’a wife and a warm family,’ then he won’t have ti to bother him.
"Then tell , what secret is he hiding? Why is he marrying Marilyn Ford? Why is he approaching the Ford Family and Ethan Hawthorne? Does Conrad Sterling have a plan involving the four major families of Aethelgard?"
"I can’t say about that!"
But Henry Willow had to admit, Anna Thornton was too clever.
Young Master Sterling is only getting close to Marilyn and Ethan Hawthorne for now, and she actually guessed that the plan behind this involves all four major families?
"Forget it, then."
Anna Thornton got up to leave, but Henry Willow, still not giving up, chased after her: "Actually, I don’t really understand; only Young Master Sterling knows what he’s up to."
"Tch!"
"But I can tell you this: if Young Master Sterling is distancing himself from you now, it’s definitely to protect you and Sweetheart. His enemies, and what he’s doing, are too dangerous."
Upon hearing this, Anna Thornton paused for a mont, then realized: "That makes want to stay away from him even more."
Henry Willow: "..."
What did he accidentally say?
Henry Willow felt like he had just acted like a dumb teammate, ruining his own ’most powerful assistance’ reputation.
"Mary, can you help ask Director Lucas if there’s any scene later that could use these flowers? Since we’ve bought them, using them in the movie wouldn’t be a waste."
"Exactly, Anna, you’re so clever!"
Mary, who was busy haggling over the budget with the props team, imdiately dropped her calculator to find Quinn Locke.
"Hey, where’s Director Lucas?"
"He was just here, wasn’t he? How could the director of the filming set disappear without saying a word? Is he serious?!"
Mary circled around but didn’t see Quinn Locke anywhere.
However, a Maybach suddenly drove into the filming set.
Recognizing the impressive number on the license plate, Henry Willow instinctively grabbed Anna Thornton: "Finn Grant is back; looks like I have to leave."
"Finn Grant?"
Wasn’t he supposed to be abroad on business?
Whether he’s back or not, what’s he doing at the set?
Seeing how cramped their humble filming set was, it couldn’t fit two luxury cars.
Finn Grant’s car circled around the area and ended up parking on the territory of the "Future Travel" crew next door.
Finn Grant, visiting a filming set for the first ti, or perhaps a bit dizzy from the detour, had initially gone to the wrong place and directly asked the neighboring director: "Where’s Anna Thornton?"
The director’s face fell slightly, but not wanting to offend Young Master Grant, he politely gave him directions.
"Anna Thornton, it’s been a while; did you miss ?"
Finn Grant walked over, spreading his arms as if Anna Thornton would automatically run into his embrace for a hug.
Even if she didn’t, he wouldn’t be embarrassed. He caught sight of Henry Willow beside Anna Thornton and casually threw an arm over his shoulder: "What are you doing here, kid?"
"Anna is a good friend of mine, her new movie is shooting, so I brought so gifts to congratulate her." Henry Willow pointed at the surrounding roses to explain.
"You brought these flowers?"
Finn Grant tightened his grip on Henry Willow’s shoulder: "Willow, I warned you back then, if you ssed with my sister and took no responsibility, I’d break one of your legs! Now you dare ss with my woman? Believe , I’ll break another and see how lively you stay with just that third leg?"
"Wait a minute, when did I beco your woman?" Anna Thornton couldn’t help but interject, "How co I didn’t know that myself."
"You’re the woman I’m interested in!" Finn Grant emphasized.
Leaving out just two words, was it worth the nitpicking? Could she not give him a little face in front of so many people?
But Finn Grant liked Anna Thornton’s personality: straightforward, not afraid of him in the least.
The Grant Family was too cold and quiet; he needed a wife like this, daily noisy quarrels just to make life interesting.
