"Young Master Grant, are you planning to return my phone?"

"I’ll send you an address. If you want your phone, co over!"

"Now? This late? It’s already dark."

"Perfect for dinner, rember to dress nicely."

"Huh?"

Before Anna Thornton could figure it out, the other side had hung up.

Mary quickly leaned over to ask, "What’s going on?"

"He said he’s giving my phone back and seems to want to take to dinner."

"Is he trying to force you to seduce his prospective brother-in-law again?" Mary was worried, "Better not go."

"I just rembered that my phone has a lot of Pop’s photos from ages one to three, so haven’t been uploaded to the cloud yet. It’d be a sha to lose them."

"So you’re deciding to go? But didn’t President Sterling say to avoid ssing with Young Master Grant?"

"I also told him not to get hung up on one thing, did he listen?" Anna Thornton retorted.

Mary: "..."

"It doesn’t matter what the pighead says, what’s important is we can’t lose our baby’s growth photos, right?" Anna Thornton asked Pop.

The little munchkin nodded in agreent with his mouth full.

What else could Mary say?

She could only say, "Once Pop is asleep, I’ll go with you."

The address Finn Grant sent to Mary’s phone was a high-end restaurant.

A few days ago, Anna Thornton did research on it because she was planning to invite Conrad Sterling to dinner.

She knew this restaurant was very famous in Aethelgard, and the food wasn’t cheap.

Since Young Master Grant was willing to spend a lot to invite her here, he probably wouldn’t be causing trouble again.

After all, compared to being roughly taken to a warehouse yesterday, this was heavenly treatnt.

When they arrived at the restaurant entrance together, Mary regretted not dressing up like Anna did.

It’s said that in such upscale restaurants, you can’t get in without wearing designer clothes.

Luckily, the waitstaff didn’t ask anything and led them inside.

It seed like the whole restaurant was reserved since Mary and Anna hadn’t seen any other custors.

The waiter took them to the second floor, where Finn Grant was already seated at the spot with the best view.

The man, who appeared sinister and threatening yesterday, surprisingly looked quite proper in a formal outfit in such a high-end restaurant.

Mary glanced at Finn Grant and couldn’t help whispering to Anna Thornton, "He’s so handso!"

Mary wasn’t usually chard by looks, but due to her profession as a manager, she often got overly excited by people with extrely high attractiveness.

She was even more excited than this when she first saw President Sterling in person.

However, Finn Grant sensed her unstable emotions and quickly shot a suspicious glance, questioning, "Are you cursing ?"

Mary felt a shiver down her spine under Finn Grant’s gaze and imdiately cowered, "N-no!"

She didn’t know why, but his eyes were particularly sharp.

Finn Grant’s aura was different from Conrad Sterling’s. President Sterling had the majesty of a superior, forcing submission.

In contrast, Finn seed like a beast from the primal forest, with untad wildness and nace in his eyes, as if he could pounce and snap your neck any mont.

"What are you whispering about ?" Finn Grant asked.

"I was just telling Anna that you’re really handso!" Mary replied honestly.

"Since it’s a complint, you don’t need to whisper. Isn’t it known to everyone?"

Mary: "..."

This peculiar confidence, why does it feel sowhat familiar?

Since Mary ca with Anna, Finn Grant didn’t hold it against her.

He raised his eyebrows, looking at Anna Thornton, "Your na is Anna?"

"Uh, my real na is Anna, and ’Mary’ is my English na."

Seeing her lie so nonchalantly, Finn Grant smirked, "Do you know what usually happens to won who dare to lie to ?"

"Does it involve being invited to such an upscale place for dinner?"

Finn Grant stared into Anna Thornton’s eyes, realizing she genuinely wasn’t afraid of him.

The one beside her, with a face full of caution and worry, had the normal reaction most people had in front of him.

Not only was Anna unafraid, but she also sat down familiarly, even fetching a chair for Mary, "Have a seat."

"I only invited you to dinner," Finn Grant emphasized, "Who told you to bring soone extra?"

Mary was about to sit but stood up again when she heard him say that.

"Young Master Grant, you didn’t say we couldn’t bring soone. Mary is my friend; it’s rude to speak like that."

It was Finn Grant’s first ti being called rude to his face. With a surprised lift of his brow, he thought being rude was as well-known as his handsoness in Aethelgard.

Where on earth did this woman co from?

"Aren’t you from Aethelgard? Can’t you see where you are?"

"Here? An upscale restaurant, right? Are you afraid we’ll eat you out of house and ho? I’ll eat a little less then. When the steak cos, we’ll split it in half." Anna suggested.

"If that’s also not okay, we’ll leave. It’s fine if you keep the phone; I don’t need it."

Anna wasn’t serious about not needing her phone; she guessed that Finn Grant had a reason for calling her over.

The real matter hadn’t been discussed, so he wouldn’t easily let her leave.

Sure enough, after they took a symbolic couple of steps, he called them back, "Get... back here!"

Anna suspected that silent pause might have hidden a ’get lost.’

Good thing he didn’t say it out loud, or else Anna would have left without looking back.

Now, holding onto the hope of retrieving her phone, she reluctantly turned back, also thinking they might as well enjoy the al and ordered the best for herself and Mary.

No complaints about the cost; the food at this restaurant was indeed excellent.

After finishing, Anna was left wanting more, licking her lips.

Seeing her plates cleaned, Finn Grant’s eyes showed a hint of satisfied approval. He asked, "Want anything else? Feel free to order."

"No thanks, I can’t eat too much at night; I’m afraid of gaining weight!" Anna replied.

Upon hearing this, Finn Grant looked her over and said, "If you gain a little more weight, I’m fine with it."

Anna thought: Who cares if you’re fine with it? As an actress, maintaining body shape is a responsibility to the audience!

"Ahem, Young Master Grant, now that I’ve had dinner, can you return my phone? We should probably be heading back."

Anna shot a glance to Mary, who promptly set down her knife and fork.

"Why the rush? The last course hasn’t been served yet."

"There’s another course? But we’re already full."

As Anna finished speaking, Finn Grant snapped his fingers. The restaurant’s head chef personally wheeled a serving cart over, followed by two rows of waiters holding roses.

What kind of dish is this? So romantic!

And with a cover, what could it be? Quite mysterious.

As the cart approached, the last course was placed in front of Anna Thornton.

"It’s not my phone in there, is it?" Anna guessed.

Finn Grant was clearly disappointed with her lack of imagination and urged, "Open it."

With so trepidation, Anna lifted the tal cover from the plate, only to behold not a phone, but a rock-sized diamond!

Not an actual pigeon egg, but a ’pigeon egg’ diamond.

anwhile, Finn Grant arose, taking the roses from a waiter and placing them before Anna.

"Young Master Grant... what do you an by this?"

"You can’t tell? I’m proposing to you."

Anna Thornton: "???"

Mary: "!!!"
