Sure enough, the mont Finn Grant saw his sister leaving, almost attached to Henry Willow, he couldn’t stand still.

"Sarah Grant, stop right there! Just try going to his place tonight!"

Finn Grant was about to chase after his sister, so naturally, his subordinates had to follow.

As they passed Conrad Sterling and Anna Thornton, Finn Grant suddenly paused.

"What’s your na?" he asked Anna Thornton.

"My na is..." Anna Thornton started to reply, her voice trembling under Conrad Sterling’s gaze, "Mary."

"Mary?" Finn Grant nodded, eyeing Anna Thornton a bit longer, "I’ll rember that."

Conrad Sterling stayed behind primarily to clean things up.

The night’s events couldn’t be leaked out of the bar, especially since Anna Thornton was a public figure.

Anna Thornton stayed with him to handle the finishing touches and then they would leave together.

After sitting in Conrad Sterling’s car for over an hour, Anna discovered they still hadn’t arrived at the hospital, and the streets outside looked unfamiliar.

She couldn’t help but ask the man beside her, "Aren’t you sending back?"

Upon hearing this, Conrad Sterling abruptly stepped on the brakes: "Do you think I’m your driver?"

"Uh...how could I dare?" Feeling that his simring anger had been held back all night, Anna quickly tried to appease him, "I ant, President Sterling, you’re such a busy person, shouldn’t you rush back to rest? If it delays tomorrow’s work, it wouldn’t be good."

"What’s that?" Conrad Sterling snorted, "If you stay around, you’ll delay even more in the future."

Anna caught the hint and imdiately rolled down the window to check the road signs: "Conrad Sterling, is this road taking to the airport? Not this trick again, are you serious? Pop is still in the hospital!"

"You know Pop is in the hospital, but that didn’t stop you from chatting with other n!"

"Who did I chat with? I just said a few words to Henry Willow at the hospital entrance. Then Finn Grant targeted , it wasn’t my intention, didn’t I explain it already? What else are you mad about?"

To be honest, Conrad Sterling himself didn’t know why he was angry.

Anyway, he just wasn’t happy!

What can be done? The steering wheel, the gas pedal, and the brakes were all in the hands of this man, equivalent to Anna’s life being in his hands.

She could only coax him: "This ti, let make it up to you, I apologize, and make it up with a al, is that okay?"

"How will you make it up?" Conrad Sterling slowed down the car and asked.

"Food and drinks, anything but sleeping with you. Actually, sleeping is fine too, but only after getting married."

"A whole day!"

"We originally agreed just for one dinner, now you want a whole day... that ans three als? President Sterling, you’re raising the price on the spot!"

"I’m asking for reasonable compensation."

"Unreasonable profiteer!"

"Hmm?"

"Just kidding, alright! A day is a day! But I have to remind you, asking for a whole day seems more like you’re asking out on a date than compensating with a dinner." Anna laughed, "President Sterling, spending a whole day with , have you thought about how to explain it to Marilyn Ford?"

Conrad Sterling didn’t reply how he would explain, he just gave Anna a look, filled with a warning.

It ant he had just been coaxed into calming down slightly, warning her not to say anything that would spoil the mood.

Conrad Sterling made a turn at the next intersection, finally heading back towards the hospital.

Anna also breathed a sigh of relief, slumping comfortably into the passenger seat and suggested, "How about we go on a date tomorrow, it’s just that I don’t have many schedules recently."

"Tomorrow won’t work!" Conrad refused her, "I’ll be busy for the next few days."

"Are you ever not busy?" Anna retorted.

If you’re so busy, why not just marry the company instead of asking out pretty ladies?

However, Anna then rembered, "Isn’t Marilyn Ford’s birthday coming up soon?"

Conrad Sterling: "..."

He said nothing, and Anna knew she was right.

The atmosphere inside the car suddenly fell into a strange silence; Anna turned her head to look out the window.

Conrad Sterling, clearly looking ahead and not at her, ordered, "Anna Thornton, turn back! Talk to !"

"Talk about what?" Anna unwillingly asked.

"I’ll have ti next week, I’m available anyti." Conrad took the initiative, "Which day do you want?"

"We’ll see when the ti cos." Anna’s tone clearly lacked the enthusiasm she had earlier for the date.

This ti, she was unhappy, and Conrad didn’t know how to coax her.

That night, the car drove very slowly that Anna even took a nap in it.

Finally, they saw the entrance to Crestlight Hospital, and she even doubted if she needed rest as dawn was approaching.

Dragging her fatigued body out of the car, Anna only wanted to hurry back, but Conrad called to her.

"You still haven’t answered, when next week?"

"President Sterling, must I spell it out?"

"Yes."

"Sixth Miss Grant was right, living with soone like you is truly boring."

"Anna Thornton, what are you saying?" Conrad had asked her about a day next week for a date, not for her to mock him.

Moreover, what Anna said touched Conrad Sterling’s sore spot.

This woman just couldn’t stay quiet and always had a way to ignite his temper.

Conrad grabbed Anna and interrogated her: "Then who do you find interesting? Henry Willow? Or Finn Grant?"

"I was just trying to ntion Marilyn Ford, and you avoided it. Now when I’m talking about you, you bring up Henry and Finn. Conrad Sterling, don’t you think you’re conflicted? Could it be... you’re jealous?"

Anna looked at him with a strange expression, but Conrad denied it flatly: "Jealous of you? Impossible!"

"Not jealous, then not jealous, why say it so ruthlessly, it’s a bit heart-breaking." Anna shrugged, showing no sign of being too upset, "I think we should postpone the dinner. If you succeed in proposing to Marilyn Ford, there’s no need to date, I’ll just wrap a bigger ’thank you’ gift for helping last ti."

"Just try it!"

Hearing she planned on giving a gift for his and Marilyn’s engagent enraged Conrad.

Yet he restrained his temper, almost losing focus on what was more important he had to convey.

"Stay away from Finn Grant, or no one will save you next ti you get into trouble," Conrad warned her.

Anna felt wronged; she never intended to cross paths with the Grant Family, she was inadvertently caught up today!

But rarely did Conrad show apprehension about anyone, making Anna curious: "Are you afraid of Finn Grant?"

"Not afraid!"

"Then why every ti you ntion him, it feels like you’re facing a formidable enemy?"

"Him? A formidable enemy?" Conrad scoffed dismissively.

A person with true competence always had his confidence and pride; in Conrad’s eyes, Finn Grant wasn’t qualified to be a rival worth ntioning alongside him.

As for why he was cautious, simply because: "He’s a madman!"
