Oberon ca into the room, giving both of them a strange stare.
"What were you both talking about?"
Due and Selena exchanged glances, Selena gulped, "How much did you hear?"
He arched his brow, "That is the reason I asked," he shrugged.
Selena was relieved, she felt relief wash over her face.
"We were just.."
Due chipped in, "We were just talking about so random things, it is mainly for ladies.. you know.." she laughed nervously.
"Hmm, is that so?"
Selena nodded, "Yes.. yes, that is exactly what we were talking about, random matters."
Oberon squinted his eyes, he didn’t want to believe them because sothing was off, but he just nodded.
"If you say so," he nodded, he looked at Due, "Leave us Due, I want to talk to her."
Due looked at Selena, gave her an assuring nod, bowed and left the room.
Selena heaved, "What do you want to talk about?"
He sighed, "Selena, I do not know why, but I am so worried," he sat on the bed.
She sat beside him and held his hand, "Why? What is the matter?"
He sucked his teeth, then continued, "I just have a strange feeling, they ask to produce a heir, but I just feel strange."
Her heart skipped a beat, "Why? What exactly is the reason?"
"It is as if I will not be able to et up with their demands."
She gulped, her heart beating fast, "Why? There is no need to be so scared."
"I am not scared, I am just worried, this feeling does not want to go away, that alone is scary."
She closed her eyes and sighed deeply, "We are looking forward to when I will get pregnant, do not worry, everything will be in place."
He looked at her and smiled, "You give comfort," he rested his head on her shoulder.
She gently caressed his hair, her head in a mad race of thoughts, ’He trusts so much, what will happen if he eventually finds out? This does not feel right at all.’
"Selena," he called.
"Yes Oberon?"
"How sure are you about your fertility? The pressure is getting too much."
She creased her brows, "I thought you had made adjustnts to that rule?"
He raised his head from her shoulder, "As if it is that easy," he pald his face.
"What happened this ti?"
"Anding an existing rule does just not happen, we have to undergo so certain practices to change or and it."
She frowned, "When did that rule co into play?"
He shrugged, his lips went up, "This is not fine at all, all we can depend on, is your ability to conceive."
Selena was annoyed but thought it best not to show it.
"Oberon, the chances are very slim."
"Why? Are you not fertile enough?"
She blinked, "Of.. course, I am fertile," her voice shook as she said that.
He grinned, "Then there is no need to worry, even if you can get pregnant before then, we will present him to the pack."
Selena held her breath, Due had told her to fake a pregnancy, when was she supposed to do that?
She smiled, "Of course, I will surely give you a heir Oberon," she smiled sweetly.
He leaned forward and kissed her lips for a while.
"Intercourse would be faster hun?"
"I do not understand."
"Since you are so fertile, intercourse could increase the chances of getting you pregnant, am I correct?"
She widened her eyes, this was a perfect opportunity!
She grinned, "Yeah, I think so," she paused, "Yes, you are correct," she nodded.
He smiled mischievously, "Let us make a pup," he carried her in bridal style.

Selena sat on the chair while Due prepared sothing for her.
"Due, I am very nervous."
"Nonsense, you do not have to be nervous, this will work, I promise you."
"I hope so," she muttered.
Due finished preparing her mixture of herbs, she poured all the contents in a cup and handed it to Selena.
"It has been weeks after you both had intercourse, drink this, this will make you sohow sick but it is for your own good."
She scoffed, "Sick? Do you want to kill ?"
Due rolled her eyes, "Are you so dumb? If you want your fake pregnancy to be so real, then drink this."
"Why?"
"How are you supposed to fake a pregnancy when you are not sick?" She slapped her forehead in frustration.
"Oh, I did not realize."
"Now drink it."
Selena took the cup from her, she grimaced when she looked at the contents, "I still can not believe I am doing this," she closed her eyes and gulped it down.
"Argh! It is so bitter!" She squinted her eyes tight.
"You do not have another option."
"When does it start taking effect?" She asked.
"In a few minutes..."
Selena drew her head backwards, "What do you an?"
"Just wait and see."
She wanted to respond but she imdiately held her stomach, she was about to throw up. She ran to the bathroom quickly.
Due smiled, "Its effects have begun," she chuckled darkly.
A few minutes later, Selena ca out looking so weak.
She dragged herself to the bed, and lay on it.
"That is it, now everyone will be able to believe your fake pregnancy," she said, a smug smile on her face.
Selena was too weak to respond, she only smiled weakly.
"Let go tell your mother in law," she rushed out of the room.
Selena was so happy within her.
"Did you say she is pregnant?" She heard Elena’s voice.
She shut her eyes tight so she could pretend she was sleeping.
Elena ca in, looking so happy, "Oh my goodness, Selena," she ca to her bedside.
Selena opened her eyes slowly, "Mother?"
"Selena, I heard the news, finally Oberon has an heir!"
Due smiled, "Yes, he does."
"I am so happy to hear this, finally, we can present a heir to the pack!"
"Soone go get Oberon real quick!" Elena said.
"I will go and get him here," Due offered and left the room.
Due knew exactly where to go, she went to his study room.
She knocked on the door, "Co in."
She entered and bowed, "Good afternoon your majesty, I co with good news."
He raised his head, "What is it?"
She raised her head and grinned, "Selena is pregnant."
