Thane opened his eyes gasping for air. His eyes locked with Carmilla’s, and he pulled away. His fiery eyes, and pale face gave out a beautiful, yet scary look.

"We were falling forever!" Thane gasped.

"Teleporting, young man," Carmilla corrected.

"Wh-" Thane looked around, and scrunched up his nose, "Where are we?!"

"At the end of the other crossroad?" Carmilla shrugged, flashing a grin.

"Oh? So this was not an option," Thane put his hands on his waist, nodding in realization.

"Good thing I have you eh?" A smile made its way to his lips.

"Of course, happy to help," Carmilla bowed slightly.

"Okay then, take out of here," he inhaled sharply.

"Co here then," he spread his arms wide, grinning widely.

"You are such a witch," he grunted.

"Vampire."

"Ugh!" He stamped his foot on the ground, "Just stop bothering ."

"Huh? I only corrected you," he coughed slightly.

"Co on, or would you want to run all the way down to the beginning?" He smirked.

"I really hate you so much."

"Of course you do," he chuckled.

Thane rolled his eyes, and walked towards him with a scowl, "Be quick about it," he stopped a few inches away from him, folding his arms across his chest.

Carmilla smiled softly, drawing him closer by the waist, "Stop being a cub, and stop pouting."

His face flushed red, "Pouting? ? I was not," he raised his nose in pretend annoyance.

"Do not forget we have soone to save," he reminded him.

Thane’s expression imdiately turned sour, "Mother.." he sighed, "Take out of here then," he mumbled.

Carmilla smirked. Within the blink of an eye, he was gone from there.

As soon as they arrived at the third road, Thane imdiately pulled away, and took a look at his surroundings. This particular road didn’t have an end, it led to a different path instead.

He imdiately fixed his eyes on the ground.

"Footprints!" His eyes bead with excitent.

Carmilla turned to see what he was looking at, "Footprints? Why is that making you so excited?"

"These are definitely the rogues’ footprints!" He rushed over to the path to see what the footprints looked like. He got closer, scanning the prints, if they were familiar with the ones that he had followed earlier.

"Yes, these are their footprints," he muttered, "But...how did their footprints disappear at the crossroads?" He held his chin, his eyes squinting trying to think of a reasonable answer to his seemingly impossible question.

"Everything okay?" Carmilla placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I am.. I am just trying to figure out sothing," he bit his lips.

"Your brains are too small for that, let us keep going," he tapped his head, then walked in the direction the footprints were leading him.

"Oh co on! I am being serious right now," he groaned.

"Of course you are," he chuckled.

"I hate you so much," he muttered.

"I can hear you," he drawled.

Thane clenched his jaw, "Damn it!" He ran over to catch up with Carmilla.

"Now where does this lead?" Thane smirked.

...

"A dead end!?" He yelped.

"How is this even possible?! What is going on?" He yelled, completely losing it.

"Hmm," Carmilla held his chin, observing the environnt. The footprints had led them to a completely dead end. It was just a huge smooth wall in a narrow path, so the wall was enclosing the path so those on the other side couldn’t co to this other side.

"They probably went over it?" Carmilla said, referring to the wall.

"Do you think so?"

"Calm down. Stop thinking in your rage," he said calmly, and tapped Thane’s forehead lightly,

"I.. how can I? Besides, who builds a wall in the middle of nowhere?!"

"I could," Carmilla looked away trying to stifle his laughter.

"You are crazy, I know you can do that," he twisted his lips.

"You could just go over it, it is as simple as that."

"I can not climb a wall.. a smooth wall at that."

"Hm, that is where I co in then," he nodded, "Co on, our usual.."

"It is not our, there is no our in this," he frowned at him.

"Okay, okay, calm down, do not be so worked up," he rolled his eyes.

"I still cannot believe I am doing this,"Thane whispered in self pity.

"Co on."

He nodded, weak, and tired of the whole drama at hand, "To think we are doing this at night," he shook his head.

"Get used to it," ca the reply he definitely didn’t need at that mont.

"Just give your hand," Carmilla stretched out his hand.

Thane squinted in suspicion, "Hm?"

"Your hand?"

Thane hesitated, then stretched out his hand. Carmilla took it, "You might want to close your eyes."

Thane did as he was told.. grudgingly.

"Open them."

His eyes flung open, "Oh my," they were at the other side of the wall, "Ha! You were not a bad choice after all!" His eyes lit up.

"Never am I a bad choice," his eyes softened.

"Oh whatever, can we go now?"

"I never held you from not going anywhere, did I?" He arched his brow.

"Ugh! Why are you so annoying?"

"Because I enjoy annoying you," he turned on his heels, moving forward.

"At least wait for ," he ran to catch up with him, "How do you walk so fast."

"Natural."

He sighed deeply, "Vampires are so tiring," he shook his head.

"Okay, but I think it is best we focus on the journey ahead of us."

"Oh, sure."

They continued their journey in silence.

They kept on walking till they reached a point where two roads et.

Thane snapped, "What is this? Who are these rogues?!" He wanted to scream in frustration, but Carmilla held his hand, squeezing it.

"Calm down! Do not let your rage get over you."

"What do you want to do? I am already so sick of this. All I just want to do, is get mother away from those rogues!"

"You will, just..."

Just then, a silver spear ca lunging in their direction. Carmilla saw it first, "Duck!"
