Dora looked at him, her eyes wide with confusion, "what are you saying? We have to finish him off. This is our chance!"

"You are in a haste Dora, if we do things in a hurry, there is good chance of us not doing anything at all. Let us retreat for now, we co back with a full force."

"It is ti the lycanthropy pack ca out as a whole," he squinted his eyes.

"How do we reach them?" Nyx asked.

"I still rember the packs I had sent them to. I will go again, and make an appeal. It is ti I make use of relationships," he said firmly.

Dora stared at him, she sighed, "if you say so," she muttered.

"You might want to command the rain stop," Nyx coughed

She arched her brows, "oh, yes," she groaned, standing up.

She reluctantly spread her arms, her eyes closed, " (Cease, rain.)

The rain stopped, with the clouds parting, revealing a glimpse of the sky.

Archi shivered when the rain stopped.

"I feel weak," he sighed, "but at least, we were able to weaken his defense."

"Co on, let us take him back ho," he gently carried Archi in his arms.

Nyx sighed, she looked back at the palace. It was by the stroke of luck they were able to win this.

"If we co here again, we will be fully prepared, Aegis will start preparing for another battle, so shall we."

"Why not finish him off on a ti he does not expect?" Dora asked as they headed to the gate quickly.

"Hmm, that might not be possible."

"Why? We could do it in the night, or probably when his guards are away, or when his guard has been brought down."

"I wish it was as easy as you are saying it,.a king would never let his guard down, not especially after a battle."

Dora held her forehead, "who does he think he is?"

"Let us get out of here, keep your questions until another ti."

***.

Aegis slumped on his bed, his heart beating fast, "how was he so smart?" He panted.

He bit his lips, turning on the bed to face the ceiling.

"He was so fast, plus that annoying girl with him! Why did she have to spoil everything by summoning the rain?" He was now very worried.

Oberon seed to be getting stronger by the day. He could not even capture him, now he had gotten away.

He sat up, his heart racing, "this is not good, at all," he slowly shook his head, "I should be more careful."

He rembered Neriah, and his eyes blazed with rage, "That stupid rogue! He actually lied to ! There was nothing useful in what he did!"

Risa ca into the room, "is sothing wrong? I heard your voice outside."

He gritted his teeth, "Oberon! He ca here."

Her heart skipped, "he.. he did?"

He nodded, his eyes lit up with rage.

"Oh, what did he co here to do?" She managed to ask.

"I thought I would be able to capture him. There was a wolf who ca to tell , he knew where Oberon lived."

Her heart began to race, ’I thought I had sent so guards to tell him. What happened?’ she creased her brows in thought.

"Now, I do not know where he is, and Oberon almost killed ," he clenched his fists.

"Oh!" She blinked her eyes.

He sighed, "now, I feel he is planning sothing. I am now being uncertain," he bit his lips.

She was too lost in her thoughts to listen to him.

"Risa?" He squinted her eyes, "are you listening to ?"

She snapped out of her thoughts, "oh.. yes.. I was listening," he nodded.

He scoffed, and stood up, "now I do not know what his next movents will be," she bit her lips.

"Oh, you will be fine. I think... Maybe.. uh.." her head was swelling with thoughts.

"What is wrong with you?" He frowned.

She shook her head, "no, I am.. I am okay," she nodded, and walked out of the room, her heart racing fast.

"Oh my, he is fine," she held her chest, "oh my goodness," she closed her eyes, her heart still pounding.

"I am sure, I had sent so guards. Was the ssage not padded? Oh my goodness, Oberon was almost killed," she gasped.

She stood outside the room, lost in thought, "Where are those guards? I have to find out where they are," she prepares to look for them.

"What ssage did you pass?" She heard Aegis’s voice.

She stopped in her tracks, "huh?"

"You heard . What ssage did you pass? And to whom?"

Her eyes widened, "what? I.. didn’t pass any ssage. What did you hear?" She laughed nervously.

Aegis squinted his eyes suspiciously, "hmm."

Dora sat at the side of the house, hugging her legs. Oberon saw her sitting alone.

"What is the matter?"

She turned to face him, "oh, what are you doing here?" She sighed.

He arched his brow, "is sothing wrong? Why are you so dull?"

She closed her eyes, tears sliding down her cheeks, "I made a mistake," she whispered, feeling sha gwaning at her chest.

He wrapped a hand around her shoulder, "why?"

She looked up at him with tears in her eyes, "it .. Neriah.." she sniffed.

His face contorted when she ntioned his na, "what did he do?"

"Not him.. I was the one who made a mistake," she rested her head on his shoulder.

He patted her back, "tell what happened," he cooed.

"I.. slept with him," she gulped.

His eyes widened, and he froze, trying to take in the news.

"What?"

She broke down in tears.

"When did this happen?"

"So weeks back," her voice broke.

He hissed, "oh goodness. Why?"

"I.. he was promising... I thought he liked ."

"Dora," he called softly, "you.." he sighed, "I do not bla you though. You did not have mother with you," he pulled her in a hug.

"I had done this to a lady once. I did it to Nyx," he shook his head.

She raised her head, "what? Why?"

"I did it for pleasure then.. it was years later I realized the mistake."

She sniffed, "what?"

He nodded, "yes. I do not forgive him though, I will surely make him pay for doing this to you," his eyes darkened.

"I hate him! I actually thought he would be nice."

"I thought so too," he shook his head, "but this has thought us a lesson, you should not trust people just like that. Especially those we never knew."

She bit her lips, "I am such a fool," she blinked her eyes.

He caressed her hair, "you were only naive."

She began to cry again, "I should have resisted," she cried, "how did I not resist?" She hugged him tight.

He managed to smile, "hehe, I do not think it is that easy to resist, if he was that good, and had charm, then it must have been very hard."

She sniffed, "I hate him! I did not believe he would do this to ," she wiped her nose.

He kissed her head, "Do not worry. I will definitely find him, and I promise it will not be nice when I see him."

They disengaged from the hug, "I do not think I will be able to live with this. It is hurting real bad, ugh!"

He raised his brows, "you have to," he stood up, "you will feel better when we find him, and I will make sure he does not enjoy it," he clenched his fists.

"Hopefully. I hope you do what you say," she looked away.

He held her hand, "Do not worry. We will fine him. He is a Lycan, we are Lycans, we can find him," he smiled at her, trying to reassure her.

She nodded, her eyes lit up, "oh, yes," she sniffed, "we will find him," she hugged him again.

He patted her head, "Do not worry, we can do this together. We make a pretty good team," he grinned.

She looked at him, "Do we?"

"We do.. if we work more together," he patted her head.

She tried to smile.

"Smile for ," he held her chin, "do not allow that issue weigh you down. We will track him down, and make sure he pays. Agreed?"

She nodded eargerly, "yes, we will."

"Now, smile."

She managed to smile.

"I do not want that reluctant smile. Smile genuinely for ," he caressed her hair.

She smiled broadly, "Thank you. Thank you so much," her eyes teared up again.

He wiped the tears off her eyes, "do not cry. I wonder why you would want to waste your precious tears over soone who does not deserve it. Do not cry," he shook his head, "do not cry," he wiped her eyes.

She nodded, and sniffed, "I will."

He stretched out his hand, "let us go inside. Forget about him. We have more better things to do."
