XAVIER

My secretary’s call woke up the next day, and I almost cursed the person at the end of the call when I picked up the call until I heard his voice, and he sounded troubled.

For soone who was unfazed most of the ti, that was all the hint I needed to know that things were not going well.

I jumped down from the bed and went to the wardrobe, selecting my clothes with one hand while the phone was in the other hand.

"The operation failed, sir. The police and security team found nothing in the company. They must have moved the goods." He explained.

"What?" I asked before I could hold myself.

"How did that happen? Did you get any info regarding where they might have taken it?" I asked, and I could imagine him shaking his head at my question.

Yes, the police might have seen the video, but it wasn’t enough to pick up a CEO who didn’t have such accused goods in his possession.

I knew why they took our goods, they wanted to disrupt our business so that we would be out of stock and our custors would go to them if they couldn’t find their favourite drinks from us anymore.

It was a tactic so CEO’s use and I knew he was using it.

"We need to find where he hid the goods and get it back. Ordering a new batch will take up to two or even three months. Our custors can’t wait that long." I reasoned.

"Get the security team ready for a eting, I will be at the office soon." I instructed before ending the call.

Nylah was still asleep when I stepped out of the room. We had rounds of sex until the early hours of the morning. The more I took her, the more wet she got.

Brian t outside the pack.

"You slept in today." He said as I walked to the car.

"Good morning to you too, Brian." I greeted with a stern voice.

"It’s noon, sir." He replied with a mocking tone. I glanced at my watch and arranged my jacket.

"Anyways, there is a little problem at the office. A rival company took the goods, and they managed to hide it where we can not find it. The security team went there with the police but they found nothing." I inford Brian who listened attentively.

"That ans you would be out of business for months." He said after careful reasoning.

"Yes. That is what he wants. For to go out of goods so that my custors will shift to his bar to get their thirst quenched." I agreed.

While Brian and I contemplated on what to do; ordering for fresh goods was out of the equation because it would take months to arrive, and it would already be too late.

Buying from fellow retailers would put us at a loss, and custors wouldn’t want to pay more for sothing they can buy for less sowhere else. Our prices were already premium as it is.

"It slls like there is a problem." The old man who was saved the previous day tiptoed to us, his hands pinned behind him, and his head poked out as if he was trying to eavesdrop.

Brian and I stopped talking imdiately and stared at him.

"What is the problem?" He asked, his voice calm and collected.

Brian and I exchanged glances.

"It’s none of your business." I replied

"Perhaps, it’s a problem from work concerning your goods." His reply shook Brian and .

How did he know about that?

"How did you know that?" I asked with a frown. He probably eavesdropped on us before asking what the problem was and walking towards us.

I would not be fooled by him.

"I told you, the moon goddess..." I cut him off. Not letting him finish the sentence.

"Cut the crap old man. If you think going about and spreading such lies about the moon goddess will make you feel special then you must be joking because all I see is an old man who has no wolf and is just trying to be relevant to others and using the moon goddess to do so."

He was silent at my words for a while but did a "tsk" and turned around.

"Anyways, check his underground warehouse if you want your goods." He called out as he walked away.

Again, Brian and I exchanged glances. Maybe he was nuts.

We waved his words aside and continued to think about other ways to salvage the situation, but his words stuck in our minds.

Even though I didn’t believe his crap, I had to give it a trial.

"I think we should check out what he just said." Brian spoke first when we were getting nowhere with our ideas.

"Yeah? I was thinking about that, too." I confessed.

"But I don’t know about any underground warehouse. That is creative. I must give it to him." I added

"We have to find that underground warehouse." Brian prodded, and we hopped into the car. This ti around, I had a little sothing. Even though I couldn’t call it a lead, it was sothing.

We got to the office, and the staff went to work, searching for any clue to the underground warehouse our rival had, and when they found it and uncovered the location, we all marched to his house.

We walked past the security n, well I did. And I proceeded into the living room.

It was an operation of making them unconscious if they tried to stop us, and my n took the operation seriously.

We made one of the guards who looked like the higher ranked one lead us to the underground warehouse. As we moved, my n took care of the guards manning doors by the hallway.

We stopped at a big round safe door made of tal and was probably bomb proof.

The guard we held unlocked it, and we entered.

There was a lot in the warehouse, but after a few minutes of scanning around, I saw my goods stacked in a corner of the warehouse.

One hit on the guard’s neck, and he slumped. My n started packing everything out of the warehouse to our empty trucks outside the compound.

We were fast. Before anything else could happen, we were out of the house with our goods in the trucks.

"That old man..." Brian started when we were close to my company to go offload the goods.

"I know," I replied. "I know what you want to say, and I think the sa thing. Maybe he actually has a gift and is special." I reasoned.

"None of us thought about an underground warehouse, but he ntioned it, and he was right." Brian added.

"Do you think he hears from the moon goddess?" I asked, and Brian couldn’t say.

We still weren’t certain about that, but we knew that he had a gift that would co in handy.

After offloading the goods at the office, we headed ho. I was going to speak with the old man and ask him what his deal is.

If he was able to help out, then he might co in handy with ti. I reasoned.
