I waited for the opportunity when the prince had to go work out of the palace before I gave one of the doctors a call to discuss my condition. After briefly explaining to the doctor about my irregular cycles and also expressing my worries about my difficulties in conceiving, the doctor let out a sigh that was loud enough for to hear from my end of the line.
“You might think that it is concerning, but it is more common than you think. Irregular cycles can be a result of various things. One of the most common causes is stress and lack of rest. If the mind and body are not healthy, it can result in irregular cycles. Based on what you’ve told before, you’ve had many regular cycles for many years so it might be hard to predict the date for ovulation. That might be one of the reasons behind why it is difficult for you to conceive,” the doctor explained calmly.
“Is there sothing that I can do? Sothing that will help?” I ask as I started feeling extrely desperate.
“As you are probably already aware, non-natural approaches have not seed to work when dealing with the princes. It is unfortunate, but there’s not much that we can do for you. However, the good news is that there are so things that you can do to help yourself beco healthier which will in the end help you to conceive. I know this might sound difficult, but I would advise you to worry less about this matter to reduce your stress. Also make sure that you get enough sleep and eat healthy als, and take regular exercises,” the doctor advised.
I had to say that there wasn’t much that the doctor was telling that I didn’t know beforehand. However, It seems impossible to control my emotions and my stress levels. With this amount of overwhelming pressure it seems like I was racing against ti.
Who wouldn’t be stressed and pressured under such a situation?
It felt like as the days went by, I was getting closer and closer to losing the prince.
“Thank you so much for your advice. I will try my best to follow it,” I told the doctor politely.
After exchanging for like words or farewell, I disconnected the line.

It wasn’t long after that, that the situation took an unexpected turn for the worse and it felt like a ticking ti bomb had just exploded right in my face.
I was spending ti in the prince’s study with him while he worked. It felt like a normal and peaceful day where we could spend our ti together and there were no signs that sothing was about to go wrong. Suddenly there was a soft knock on the door and after the prince replied, his butler entered the room before bowing politely.
“The king has summoned Your Highness and Lady Mila to the Grand throne room,” the butler inford us with a slightly worried expression on his face.
My eyes widened as I tried to contain my shock at this unexpected invitation. It was uncommon for the king to summon the prince; however, it felt extrely unusual for him to summon both of us together.
“Inform the king that we will be there soon,” Prince Leonard instructed calmly.
I felt so anxious as we made our way to see the king. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t have a clue about why he was summoning us. My hand instinctively moved to cover my still flat belly as my eyes gazed over to the prince’s handso face. I wondered if the ti had co where the king had completely run out of patience. Perhaps, the mont I had to give up my exclusive relationship with the prince had arrived.
“Don’t look so worried,” the prince told as he took my hand in his.
“It’s very hard for to do that. I’m sorry for worrying, but I can’t seem to stop myself,” I replied weekly.
“Worrying isn’t going to help with anything. Don’t worry so much, Mila. I’ll be with you no matter what happens,” the prince said reassuringly as he patted at the top of my head.
As I stared deeply into his clear blue eyes, I began to wonder how the prince would react if the king ordered him to take another mate. When we arrive at the throne room, another big surprise was waiting for us. It seems like we weren’t the only people who were summoned to et the king that day. By the ti that we arrived, the other guests that the king had invited were already there.
Prince Florian was seated next to Regina. Ti seed to have flown by and it had been so long since I last saw the two of them. Now that I thought of it, I no longer saw Regina making contact with Prince Leonard. That being said, I hadn’t expected to see her sitting next to Prince Florian as if they were a couple. I couldn’t help but stare at them as I continued to wonder what was the relationship that they shared.
After politely greeting the king and bowing, we also took our seats. It felt like everyone’s eyes were on and I felt so nervous and out of place. When my eyes searched for Prince Leonard, I found him staring at before he showed a warm and encouraging smile. I found myself smiling back naturally, and I was glad that the prince was with and I wasn’t alone.
“It’s surprising for you to summon all of us. What is this all about?” Prince Leonard asked without beating around the bush.
I sat up a little straighter in my chair as I waited impatiently for the king to reveal his intentions.
“We will get to that very soon. We’re still waiting for more people to join us,” the king replied emotionlessly.
More people are joining us? My eyes glanced over to the entrance of the room where the door was still closed. Just at that mont, the door opened and I almost gasped in shock at the two individuals that appeared together. Prince Darius wore a formal suit as if he had just returned from his duties outside of the palace.
