The flight lasted only a couple of hours and soon enough the pilot inford us that we would be descending to the airport of our destination. The country that we were visiting was one with very close ties to the prince’s family.
“Just make sure to keep smiling. You don’t have to answer anyone’s questions. One last thing, always stay close by my side,” Prince Leonard instructed.
“I will,” I promised him without any hesitation.
When we exited the plane and entered the airport, many people were there to greet the prince. I found out that so many people travelled along with us for the trip. Many reporters were there to take photos of us, and I could understand why the prince had instructed to smile. It felt like the only thing that I could do as I stood by his side. Everything proceeded exactly as outlined in the schedule that was printed and given to beforehand. Soone who looked very senior ca to greet the prince and as they shook hands, a middle-aged woman offered a bouquet of flowers.

“We should hurry along...” Prince Leonard whispered to .
I could tell that the prince wasn’t a big fan of unnecessary attention and that he wanted to get down to the main purpose of our visit. Everyone around us just seed so busy and it wasn’t long before I found myself sitting next to Prince Leonard in the backseat of a luxurious car.
“Did you read through the itinerary?” the prince asked .
“Yes, I did...” I replied.
“Good. I bet you might find so of this interesting,” he said before turning to smile at .
It was around an hour’s drive before we arrived at our first destination, which turned out to be a hospital. Just as planned, we spent a few hours there on a tour where many doctors presented to Prince Leonard their dical findings. Honestly, I didn’t know enough about the various topics being covered to fully understand the importance of each innovation. I watched as Prince Leonard listened intently and I could tell that he was genuinely interested. Now and then he would ask questions and converse with the person presenting.
“Mila...” he called my na softly.
“Y-Yes?” I replied while sounding a little flustered.
Prince Leonard suddenly reached for my hand and held it gently in his and that made my heart flutter in my chest. I wasn’t even sure if he should be holding my hand this way with so many people around us.
“Co and take a look at this,” the prince said invitingly as he tugged softly on my hand.
“Umm...ok...” I murmured.
The prince led a few steps forward to a screen showcasing a video of a wound closing before so kind of dicine had been applied. It was sothing simple and relatable enough for to appreciate and I found myself gasping before staring at the video as it replayed itself over and over.
“Amazing, isn’t it? The wound just closes in a few seconds,” the prince said before beaming a smile at .
“Yes...I’ve never seen anything like it...” I murmured in amazent.
Unlike the other topics before, this one I could fully understand because of its lack of complexity. I wondered if Prince Leonard could tell that I was feeling a little bored and also lost. After that, the prince continued holding my hand in his.
Our second destination for the day turned out to be a laboratory. When I was first invited to this trip, I had no idea that the schedule would be so packed or that I would get to accompany the prince to so many places to see so many things. It was eye opening for and it also gave a glimpse of what the prince’s work was like.
“This place should interest you more than the one before,” he told with a bright smile.
“What will they show us here?” I asked.
"You’ll see soon enough for yourself,” the prince replied before winking at .
His words made feel suddenly excited. A group of people dressed in white lab coats were there to welco us when we entered the laboratory. After exchanging words of formal greeting, we were ready to start on our tour.
“We’re proud to present our progress on helping people realize their dreams of having children. Nowadays many couples find it harder to conceive a child. Many factors co into play such as changes in their lifestyle that cause more stress. On top of that, couples want to start building a family at a later stage in their lives which ans that they are older,” one of the doctors started to explain.
Once again, I could tell that Prince Leonard was interested in what the presenter was talking about. The topic of the presentation was ntioned already in the itinerary that I had received so I wasn’t at all surprised at that point.
“Please follow this way so that we can explain and show you so of our latest innovations,” the doctor continued before leading the way.
The doctor went on to explain various thods that they have studied to improve fertility in both won and n and that ranged from counselling all the way to dication. Artificial thods were also ntioned to fertilize an egg outside of the woman’s body. I didn’t understand everything that was being presented and discussed because many technical and dical terms were used that I wasn’t familiar with. However, the diagrams and photos spoke very well for themselves.
I personally thought that so of the procedures described sounded very frightening and also extrely invasive to the woman’s body. Prior to this, I never gave much thought to the fact that so won had a hard ti conceiving. Perhaps getting pregnant wasn’t as easy as I thought it was. There were so many won who wanted children but were unable to conceive naturally. I felt a strange feeling stirring inside of that made uncomfortable while I couldn’t help but wonder if I would also share their problem.
