“You! Grab those rose vases from over there and put them on those tables. Quickly!” a senior maid instructed loudly as she pointed a finger at .

“Yes, right away...” I said before quickly doing what I was supposed to do.

When I arrived at the table where the vases filled with red roses were, I quickly discovered that the vases were much larger and heavier than I had thought. How am I supposed to carry all three of these on my own? I could try one or two at a ti.

“Mila! Do you need help?” Jessie asked as she quickly approached my side.

“Oh, thank goodness that you’re here. I must carry three of these, but they’re big and heavy. Can you help take one? I’ll handle two of them,” I said as relief flooded my body, and then I sighed.

“Sure. I’ll put this one on that table over there. You can do the other two,” Jessie said encouragingly.

I watched her back as she carried one of the large vases away. Now I have to take these two vases over there. I lifted a vase and then another. Holding two large vases filled with red roses felt extrely heavy, but it wasn’t a long walk from where I needed to take them. I can do this!

The biggest challenge wasn’t just the weight but the size of the vases. The red roses arranged beautifully in the vase by the florists also blocked my entire field of vision. I could hardly see in front of with the vase and the roses blocking my view. Perhaps it was a mistake to carry both at once, and I had bitten off more than I could chew. However, ti was running out, and I needed to do it. I strolled forward while I prayed that the other maids would clear a path for as I ca through.

I almost reached the first table when the vase I was holding suddenly bumped into sothing. The impact caused to lose my balance. It happened so fast that I wasn’t sure what had happened. I let out a cry of surprise as I felt myself falling backward. The vases fell from my hand, and soon, I landed hard on my butt, with the soft grass helping to cushion my fall. When I heard the sharp cry of a woman who wasn’t my own, I realized I must have walked right into soone.

The next thing I knew, the vases had crashed to the ground, and then I felt stinging pain along my arms and hands. I saw the roses spilling out of the vase and falling over . Suddenly, it was like ti had stopped, and I felt the eyes of everyone in the garden on and my unfortunate situation.

“Lady Regina! Are you alright?”

A loud voice rang out. I winced in pain when I realized that the rose thorns must have pricked and scratched my hands and arms during my fall. So roses and their stems were still on my arms, and I carefully removed them. My body hurt from the impact of the fall, but I managed to get back on my feet again.

“Are you ok?” Salena whispered to with worry.

“Yeah...” I murmured, still shocked at what had just happened.

I stood up to see a woman still on the ground, and I gasped when I realized that she must have been the woman I had run into. The woman was dressed in a stunning lavender-colored long dress. Her hair was impeccably styled into a stylish updo, with a few curled locks framing her troubled face. I could tell that she was in pain as another woman tried to help her up.

“Lady Regina! Please let help you up. How can such a thing happen? Oh...please be careful...” the other woman said as she started helping the woman she called Lady Regina up.

The way that Lady Regina was dressed told that she was one of the honorable maidens. I was at a loss for what to do, but one thing was clear.

“I am extrely sorry for what happened. I was carrying the vases, so I couldn’t see where I was going...” I apologized profusely to the lady.

“Oh...it’s alright. I don’t think I was watching where I was going either,” the lady in the lavender dress replied.

Her pink lips curved into a beautiful smile that matched her light blue eyes nicely. Now that I could see her up close, I was captivated by her beauty. Her face looked like a doll with big round eyes frad with light blonde lashes that matched her hair. Her eyes were a beautiful blue, and her cheeks were a rosy pink. Her sweet, flowery perfu filled my nostrils and reminded of lilies.

“Lady Regina, are you sure that you are fine? I humbly suggest we get one of the royal doctors to examine you imdiately,” the other woman said.

It seed like she was a maid who worked for Lady Regina; however, unlike , she wasn’t dressed in the standard black maid uniform. Instead, she wore a light grey knee-length dress.

“It’s fine, Sophie. I’m ok, so please don’t worry,” Lady Regina replied.

“You there! Why didn’t you watch where you were going? How dare you bump into Lady Regina like this?” Sophie spat my way.

“I am sorry...” I apologized again.

“It’s fine. Accidents can happen...” Lady Regina replied.

“They sure can,”

A deep man’s voice said clearly from close to us. I turned to see a very tall man with dark hair and piercing grey eyes dressed in a full regal uniform. His navy military jacket was adored, and he had many dals befitting his position. Everything about him scread that he was a prince.

Dark hair and grey eyes...this must be Prince Darius!
