When our eyes t again, I realized that what I feared more than anything was the possibility that I may not get to see Prince Leonard again.
“I was just teasing you a little. There’s no need for you to make a face like that. I’ll request for you,” Prince Leonard said as his tone turned serious.
His words surprised , yet it seed to warm and soothe my soul at the sa ti. I had no idea what kind of face I was making but I was glad that I looked that way because if I had made so other face, perhaps the prince wouldn’t have agreed to spend the night of the full moon with .
“Thank you...” I managed to whisper after being stunned for a mont.
Prince Leonard reached for my hand before lifting it slowly to his lips. The warmth of his lips against the back of my hand and then my fingers as he gently kissed my hand felt so pleasurable that I wanted to whimper and moan. Just like that, it was settled that we would be together for the upcoming full moon night.
“About the trip that Prince Darius ntioned...” I mumbled when that thought suddenly crossed my mind.
The prince’s lips on my hand stopped and I suddenly regretted my words for a mont. Prince Leonard let go of my hand as my words seed to have capture his attention.
“Be a good student and that will be your reward,” he replied with a pleased grin.
A reward?
“Where will we be going?” I asked curiously.
“You’ll see when the ti cos,” he replied without divulging any details.
I was surprised that he was going to take a on a trip and although I had no idea where he was going to take , I was already so excited. There was clearly so much more beyond the palace walls that I have not seen and going out to explore was definitely sothing that I looked forward to.
“You should rest for today. There’s no point in pushing yourself,” the prince told as his large hand reached out to pat my shoulder comfortingly.
“Are you leaving already?” I asked when the prince got up.
The clear disappointnt in my voice made curse myself silently. Prince Leonard smiled regretfully at before he nodded. I didn’t think that I had the right to ask him where he was going. The prince is a very busy man so it was probably already more than I could have reasonably asked for to have him spend this much ti with .
“Rest well,” he said before he left.

**Later that evening**
Evening arrived much faster than Salena would have liked. There wasn’t much to do in the evening and working as the personal maids of an honorable maiden actually wasn’t much work at all compared to working as a general maid. Cleaning duties were minimal and a lot more focused was put into just serving the honorable maiden. In this case, Mila was the easiest lady to serve. She was not at all demanding and almost never requested for help or any favors. The fact that they were friends also made it enjoyable to spend ti together that it didn’t feel like the two maids were even working.
Salena looked around nervously as she tried to find a secretive way to leave so that she could et up with Darius. Of all the places that he had asked to et up with her, he had chosen the library that was located in the building of the Sacred Chambers.
The library in the Sacred Chamber seed to be tuck away in an unpopular part of the building. The entire floor was silent and void of life when Salena arrived there. It was apparent to her that the library wasn’t a place frequently visited by honorable maidens. She thought that it was a sha that the people who had the privilege to access such a place were not at all interested in doing so.
The large wooden double doors to the library lood in front of her and she was surprised to find that it was unlocked. When she pushed her hands against the doors, the large doors slowly parted before opening to reveal the dimly lit library that lay beyond. The moonlight pouring in from the large windows that stretched up the high ceiling provided just enough light for her to see the outlines of rows upon rows of bookshelves all full of books.
Salena’s hands flew to her cover her mouth as she gasped and almost let out a cry of excitent at the amazing sight in front of her. Never in her life had she seen so many books gathered in one place. If the library hidden away in the Sacred Chambers was this large, she had no idea just how large and extensive the central library of the palace would be.
Without hesitation, her legs took her swiftly into the library where she started to imdiately look around. The sll of books filled her nostrils with every breath that she took, and she felt like this place was exactly where she was supposed to be. In her excitent, she let out a small sound of joy as she approached a tall bookshelf and began walking along its length. Her hand reached out toward the books and soon she felt the pleasant sensations of her fingers skimming along the seemingly endless book spines.
“The lights...” she murmured to herself as she turned to look around.
Her eyes narrowed in the dark as she tried to figure out where the light switch was. She moved closer to the wall and started feeling around it. A short while later her fingers finally found the light switches located on the wall. The lights flickered on and lit up the entire library. It was the first ti that she could see the full extent of the expanse of the space. Her eyes widened as she stared in front of her; however, it wasn’t just the excitent of seeing so many books that made her react that way.
“You seem excited...” a low voice said.
