It’s been a week since Tristan last saw Alpha Mitch, after their last argunt and his outburst he had asked Gale to drive him back to the mansion the following day and he has been alone since then but yesterday Gale had ca to inform him that he could he resud going to school of he wanted which was unexpected.
But he was too scared to ask questions, maybe if he kept quiet and lived his life without any expectations things would go well.
"Will you have your breakfast here or in the dining room?" His maid peeped in from the room to ask while he picked an outfit from the closet.
"I’m not eating at all, I’m leaving now" Tristan replied as excitent bubbled at the pit of his stomach.
This was the first ti he was genuinely happy after he returned.
Days always passed so slowly that it made him weary and worried but what was the most painful part of his days had been waiting for the Alpha to return and at the end of the days he never did.
It was always him, the huge house, and countless maids and bodyguards.
He was finally going out and to where he had always wanted to be.
His study has always been the biggest thing that kept him going. He would get his degree and chase his dream, with or without the Alpha. He said to himself as the thought of doing everything without the Alpha stings deeply but he was trying to still his heart.
And these few days he has been practising alone, on how to stand up for himself. He was tired, tired of being suppressed, bullied and pushed around.
He got ready and left for the parking lot, while wearing a blazer over a shirt.
Gale climbed in after him before the car started and Tristan looked at him with a frown.
"Stop staring, you don’t really expect the Alpha to send you out alone, right?" Gale said as he gave the driver the cue to start the car.
"Does he think I would run away?
I am not a child, I do not need anyone to babysit " Tristan replied sharply, although his voice didn’t co out as strong as he wanted and practiced but his response made Gale do a double take on him. Gale’s eyes made his confidence falter and he looked away but anger bubbled within him.
"Whatever happened to the two of you while I was away?
He locked in a cold dungeon because of you and he still treats you with disregard. He should have listened to " Gale spat almost angrily but held himself back as he realised the driver was listening to their conversation.
After receiving the wrath of the Alpha in his study that day he had sent him away to rot away for seven days and those days were extrely hard for him.
But he accepted it as a punishnt for betraying the Alpha. But that hasn’t changed his feelings about the Oga. He believed strongly that the Alpha can do without him and get soone better that won’t bring him more trouble.
"When will you be done?" Gale asked as they drove up to the gate of the school.
Other students walked inside the premises and several cars like theirs were parked around the entrance.
Ignoring his question, Tristan got out of the car and walked away but as he walked away, his heart beat rapidly in his chest. What the beta had said to him had hurt deeply and he doesn’t trust himself not to break down in front of him.
He never expected that a day would co that both the Alpha and the beta would despise him so much.
Whereas they had been the one to barge into his life and turned every upside-down.
"Hey!Tristan!" Nita’s excitent collided with his dampened mood and Tristan let her hug him to her satisfaction.
"I was thinking you would miss the examinations and that ans retaking all the courses but I’m glad you make it back here" She said happily while she walked beside him to their first course for the day but she noticed his low spirit and turned to look him in the eyes.
"What happened?" She asked with a frown but Tristan dropped his head and continued walking while he blinked rapidly behind his glasses which he had decided to use today instead of the contact lenses.
"Wait, talk to ".
"Class is starting soon. Let’s go" He replied in a shaky voice and continued into the class. Nita frowned as she beca lost on what to do.
While their friendship had lasted for years, she had learnt earlier on to always respect his decision. If he wasn’t in the mood to talk there is no reason to force or coerce him.
The class started and carried on for a few hours and Tristan barely registered anything that was being said and he hated himself for that.
He wished to get a grip on himself and face his problems and fears heads on but he couldn’t.
Sotis he does wish he had an ounce of Nita’s boldness then he won’t go through half of what he was going through.
"The class is over. What else are you waiting for?" Nita asked in a soft voice beside him carefully not to startle him.
Tristan slowly ca out of the reverie and noticed the class had ended.
"Now can you tell what happened?
You know I do not like it when you are sad".
"I don’t know what happened, I just know it’s hard. Why was I ever brought into this world as an Oga. It’s the hardest thing ever." He started as tears pooled in his eyes but wiped at it rapidly.
He sniffed several tis and blinked to keep his eyes dry.
Nita watched quietly as she knew there was little she could do to help him.
"But I’m trying, I’m trying hard not to let my problems define . Even if it’s hard since I’m my problem, I still want to overco them."
"I think I have a solution" Nita whispered softly and her eyes snapped up to her hopeful eyes.
And she sighed in relief as she noticed her trick had worked.
