Chapter 144: I Am Here (Ch.144)

"Darren, my precious... I feel your pain and your distress, what has happened?" Zariah asked aloud, her tone deep with concern.

It had been far too long since Darren had felt emotions so strong that it penetrated Zariah’s mind block and let her feel it as though he was right beside her.

Darren and Zariah both shared the Crimson Blood and so their connection was much deeper than that of the other Crimson Wolves.

"I... I found Princess Eloneth, Zari... at the bottom of a frozen lake. The lake is enchanted, we can’t get through..." Darren’s devastated voice sounded in Zariah’s mind.

Zariah’s brows narrowed slightly, Darren’s tone was deeply concerned...too concerned for a fairy princess he had never t, which could only an there was sothing more attached.

"Princess Eloneth... she is..." Zariah left her question hanging, unwilling to complete it herself.

"She is my mate Zari, I know I shouldn’t ask this of you...but we need your Crimson Fla ...I need you Zari..." Darren pleaded desperately.

"I will co to you...calm yourself and wait for ." Zariah decided without hesitation as she shut off the mindlink and jumped to her feet.

"I will leave for the Floral Domain imdiately, what is the fastest route?" Zariah asked Prince Treyton.

"That would be using a portal...any other route would take a few days at least." Prince Treyton replied.

"But the Floral Domain sealed off their territories, the Sea Kingdom cannot summon a portal directly to their Domain." Lord lven reminded.

"Her wards are useless against . Nile, you will remain with Askel, his condition is not yet stable." Zariah instructed.

"No." King Askel declared in a firm tone.

"Askel..." Zariah began to reason but King Askel cut her off.

"I’m not letting you go alone Mhíjani, do not even ask." King Askel said decisively as he also stood up to his feet.

"But you are still hurt Askel...you need to recuperate." Zariah said worriedly.

"I need you by my side, I will never rest easy otherwise. So no, Mhíjani...we go together, or not at all." King Askel insisted.

Zariah sighed, there was no ti to argue with King Askel, Darren’s tone already told her it was an urgent situation.

And Zariah knew King Askel would never relent, he was even more stubborn and adamant than Zariah herself was.

"Fine." Zariah relented.

"Darren, I need a ntal image of your location." Zariah thought to Darren.

An image of a frozen wasteland soon appeared in her mind and Zariah stretched a hand out, summoning her magic to open a portal to Darren’s location.

The water rippled around her hand and then parted.

"The rivalry between the Sea Kingdom and the Floral Domain must be officially deliberated over, I had intended for the Lord of the supernatural council to preside over it."

"There is no ti better than now to ensure the Seas are truly safe from the threat of the Floral Domain. Prince Treyton, I will need you to co with ." Zariah said and Prince Treyton nodded.

"Certainly, if a truce can be reached, it would be best for both domains." Prince Treyton said in agreent.

Zariah then passed a glance to King Askel who strode up to her and took her hand, intertwining their fingers.

"Uncle lven..." Zariah began but Lord lven shook his head with a smile.

"The situation is urgent, we shall have more ti to get acquainted later. Finding you is already more than I can ask for." Lord lven said.

_______________

Zariah heaved a deep sigh as she erged from the other end of the portal into a frozen wasteland.

"Zariah!" Allen called out and Zariah’s gaze settled on him.

Only then did everyone else present take notice of their new company.

"Stop them!" A feminine voice commanded.

A group of battle fairies rushed at them imdiately, King Askel growled lowly, moving to shield Zariah as the battle fairies created a wall to block their path.

They only parted to create space for an enchantingly beautiful female to step through.

From her appearance, Zariah assud the woman who stood before her was Queen Heveneth, the fairy queen.

"I seek the aid of the Crimson Alpha, who the hell are you?! And why is he here?!" Queen Heveneth seethed, her glare fixed on King Askel.

"Queen Heveneth, I wish I could say it is a pleasure to et you...but the last we t, you tried to kill

and your brother died instead." King Askel said, his tone chilling cold.

"Queen Heveneth! You stand in the presence of the Crimson Alpha! Stand down imdiately!" Allen snarled as he shoved his way past the battle fairies to stand beside Zariah.

"This... she is Crimson Alpha?" Queen Heveneth asked in shock as her gaze moved back to Zariah.

"I am Zariah Torin Moonstone of Crimson Moon and I do not appreciate your tone or the glare you have fixed on my mate... fairy." Zariah said with a low growl.

"I...I..." Queen Heveneth stuttered out, taking a step back as Zariah’s dominance poured off of her in waves.

"You will answer for your disdainful actions up till this mont, but now, I need to get to my brother and you are in my way." Zariah said as she strode forwards.

The battle fairies parted, their wary gazes fixed on Zariah as she walked over to the frozen lake where Darren was crouched down, gazing to the bottom of the lake.

"Zari..." Darren said, lifting his gaze up to Zariah.

"I am here..." Zariah said as she leaned down and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You will save her?" Darren asked hopefully,

"She is my brother’s woman, if the King of Hell seeks her soul... he will need my consent first." Zariah vowed in a solemn tone.

"Zari...do you think you can handle it? The ice is enchanted. You have exhausted so much already..." Nile interrupted but Zariah cut him off.

"Step back beyond the lake...erect a shield, protect yourselves." Zariah said as she placed a palm down on the surface of the ice.

Zariah reached in, unleashing the last reserve of Crimson Fla she had, despite knowing there would be consequences.

Zariah felt the Crimson Fla surge through her in powerful waves, setting every cell in her body afla and a scream of pain escaped her lips as flas exploded out of her.
