Nanli remained expressionless.

Without hesitation, she drew her sword and sliced through Xin Chuan’s chest, adding another wound to his already battered body.

"That’s right, I’m despicable and shaless; I do take advantage of others’ misfortunes," she said slowly. "Do you have a problem with that?"

"Master!"

The Asura Palace mbers shouted, trying to rush over to protect Xin Chuan.

But Nanli threw a Body-Freezing Talisman, rendering them immobile.

"Master?" Nanli smiled coldly. "So it really is you, the Asura Palace Master, Xin Chuan."

She had known all along what had happened at the Spirit Mine when she set the formation.

The reason she had spent so much ti searching and patrolling was because she feared the Asura Palace would co after her.

Though there had been no ntion of Xin Chuan’s strength in the reports, his creation of Asura Palace and the fact that he had recruited many loyal subordinates made it clear that he wasn’t weak.

To be honest, Nanli had worried at first.

She didn’t know what kind of cultivation path Xin Chuan followed, and if his cultivation was stronger than hers with help from the Night Asura, she might have trouble handling him.

But to her surprise, Xin Chuan was severely injured.

It seed that fate still had so fairness.

Xin Chuan’s injuries worsened, his face pale and devoid of color, glaring at Nanli with a look of hatred.

"You’re seeking death!"

He tried to draw his curved blade to strike Nanli.

But the blade had been specially forged; without spiritual power, it wouldn’t co out.

He stumbled heavily to the ground, vomiting blood in large quantities.

He hadn’t even fought, yet he was already defeated...

How could he accept this!

How could he accept it!

He gripped the soil with both hands and said, "Nanli, please... I beg you... spare my miserable life, so that I can... so I can seek revenge on Qingwu in the future."

Nanli looked down at his pitiful appearance, showing no intention of showing rcy, and raised her Dark Moon Sword again.

Xin Chuan was untrustworthy.

"Nanli! Chu Nanli!" Xin Chuan shouted through the pain, "Please! I’ve been rolling through the Upper Realm for years and know many things. If we cooperate, dealing with Qingwu will be much easier!"

As a man, he didn’t want to lose his pride.

But he had a group of loyal subordinates.

He knew that if he died, they would never survive.

So, at this mont, he had no choice but to plead for rcy in hopes of gaining a way out.

Nanli paused for a mont, then smiled. "You know a lot, then why are you in such a state?"

Xin Chuan replied, "It’s my lack of cultivation, I’m no match for Qingwu."

"No, it’s because you coveted sothing you shouldn’t have—my Mu Nation’s Spirit Mine. Do you think you can just take whatever you want?" Nanli said.

"Yes..." Xin Chuan closed his eyes in self-reproach, "But the formation barrier in the Upper Realm broke, and Asura Palace is near the Northern Wastes. We had no other choice. The central Upper Realm couldn’t accommodate us, so we had to move to Mu Nation."

Nanli paused, then rembered there had been such an issue.

The Northern Wastes were full of fierce beasts, and there had been a formation barrier keeping them in check.

Once the barrier broke, the northern regions would be the first to fall.

Whether or not Xin Chuan had intended to occupy the Spirit Mine, she had definitely played a role in the barrier’s collapse.

"Sorry, it was I who broke the formation barrier," Nanli said.

Xin Chuan was taken aback, then looked at her with a complicated expression.

He had fought for years without blaming the heavens or others, and said, "Haha, that really is quite a coincidence."

His bitter laugh reflected how empty his heart had beco.

He didn’t understand why, when all he wanted was to find a place for his subordinates to settle, it had all ended like this.

"Kill ," he said, no longer struggling.

"Not so fast. You know a lot, right? Then tell , do you know Yun Yubai from the Seven Peaks Sect?" Nanli asked, "Is he really in seclusion, or has sothing happened to him?"

Xin Chuan snapped out of his daze.

He did know!

He quickly responded, "I know a lot, I’ll tell you everything, but you must promise that you’ll spare my subordinates!"

"Master!"

The Asura Palace mbers cried out, tears streaming.

"No! We can die, but the Master can’t!"

"Lady Nanli, please spare the Master. We are willing to die to atone for our sins!"

"Yes, we are not worth dying for!"

Their voices were endless, making Nanli’s head throb.

She shouted angrily, "If you keep whining, not only will I kill him, but I’ll also cut off his limbs and shatter his soul!"

The group imdiately fell silent.

The forest was dead quiet.

Xin Chuan was slightly startled, truly fearing that Nanli’s Dark Moon Sword might strike him.

But Nanli only fud for a mont, before her expression returned to calm.

"Let’s see if your information is worth anything."

Yun Yubai had been one of the people who had helped her from the beginning. Now that he was in trouble, she had to save him with all her might.

Xin Chuan knew he had no bargaining power, so he quickly said, "Yun Yubai is in trouble. He has a disciple nad Yun Shen. By coincidence, we captured him and brought him to Asura Palace."

"Where is he now?"

"Naturally, we locked him up, interrogated him, and took his things." Xin Chuan hesitated. "He... he’s still in Asura Palace’s dungeon."

"Then why didn’t you bring him with you?!" Nanli demanded, anger rising.

Xin Chuan felt wronged. "We only had one Spirit Boat, how could we fit that many people?"

Besides, Yun Shen was just a prisoner to Asura Palace.

There was no reason to bring prisoners along when moving.

But seeing Nanli’s dark expression, he quickly added, "We used a Soul Confusion Pill and got so of his mories. He didn’t know what happened to Yun Yubai. He only saw a change in Yun Yubai’s life symbol and imdiately ran. As for what was in his Qiankun Bag, aside from so pills and scriptures, there was nothing valuable."

Yun Jianchu imdiately reacted. "Wasn’t there a Glassy Bottle?!"

After all, she knew that Yun Yubai had taken the Glassy Bottle from Penglai Island.

Logically, if Yun Shen was fleeing, he would have taken the Glassy Bottle.

If they could recover the Glassy Bottle, Nanli’s strength would increase significantly.

But Yun Jianchu’s exclamation was unheard by the others.

Xin Chuan quickly took out the Qiankun Bag, unsealing it swiftly and handing it to Nanli, letting her take whatever she wanted.

Even if she took everything, he had no complaints.

After all, at this point, nothing was more important than his life.

Nanli spilled the contents of the bag.

It must be said, as the master of Asura Palace, Xin Chuan had quite a few good items.

There were spirit stones, and even so sect’s core martial arts manuals.

However, Nanli wasn’t interested in any of that now. She searched through the bag but couldn’t find the Glassy Bottle.

Yun Jianchu imdiately guessed, "He must have kept it for himself. We should interrogate him harshly and make him hand it over!"
