Ao Zhaozhao went from hesitation to determination, all because she had Siheng and Nanli by her side.
Since they were in the form of fish, Ao Zhaozhao couldn’t nod. Instead, she shouted loudly, "Alright! I will fight for the Four Seas Aqua Clan!"
They weren’t in a rush and allowed the multi-eyed octopus to help guide them. Once again, they transford into fish. The octopus moved its tentacles, and they shot forward at an incredibly fast speed. In a short ti, they had already delved deep into the ocean, arriving at the rmaid Clan’s territory.
Siheng now understood why Nanli had made a detour to find the octopus. However, Ao Zhaozhao remarked, "Actually, the fastest swimrs in the Four Seas are the rmaid Clan. Even my Dragon Clan can’t match their speed."
There were no detailed records about the rmaids in the books, so Siheng, curious, asked. He learned that the rmaid Clan held a position second only to the Dragon Clan in the Four Seas. They were known for their striking appearance and had a unique internal core that absorbed the essence of the ocean’s sun and moon, making them exceptionally skilled in spells. However, despite their strong innate abilities and power, their fragile bodies lacked the tough shells or scales that many other Aqua Clans had.
Siheng concluded, "Sounds similar to Spell Cultivators."
Nanli replied, "Exactly. They’re both fragile. The rmaid Clan doesn’t have any tough armor or scales for protection."
The octopus stopped in a concealed spot because there were rn stationed ahead. They held various weapons in their hands.
Siheng went outside to circle around and caught several fish. He used them to inquire about the current situation of the rmaid Clan and the strength of rman soldiers. He learned that, over the past ten thousand years, the rn had taken control, and in that ti, the rmaid Clan had been forced into reproduction to bolster their numbers. Currently, there were three thousand rman soldiers under their command. The rman Clan had completely taken control of the rmaid Clan.
Ao Zhaozhao grew anxious. "The rmaid Clan’s strength isn’t any less than the rman Clan’s. Even though the rman Clan has more soldiers, the rmaid Clan shouldn’t be without any resistance, right?"
A trembling fish replied, "But... but the strong mbers of each clan were tricked by the rman King and imprisoned in the Dragon Palace. As a result, the clans have no real resistance."
Another small crab added, "I know! It’s because the rman King’s son got married and invited all the powerful figures in the Four Seas. But shortly after they left, the rman soldiers attacked the clans!"
Ao Zhaozhao froze for a mont. Then, an intense anger surged within her. How could the rman Clan be so devious? How could they be so calculating? She wanted nothing more than to rush out and defeat the rman soldiers, rescuing the rmaid Clan imdiately.
"I want to fight!" Ao Zhaozhao shouted.
Siheng raised his hand to stop her, preventing her from making too much noise and potentially attracting the rman soldiers.
Ao Zhaozhao glared at him. "You just said you’d support . But now, when it’s ti to fight, you want to back out?!"
Siheng smirked slightly. In the water, he still exuded grace. "You really... When things go well, you call ’Uncle,’ but when they don’t, you just call by my na."
Ao Zhaozhao lowered her head in sha.
Nanli had a plan in mind. She said, "Since the strong mbers of the clans are imprisoned in the Dragon Palace, making a move here will only alert the rman King, who will be prepared for us. I think the best course of action is to go to the Dragon Palace."
Siheng nodded slightly. "A’Li, we really think alike. We’ll help Zhaozhao rescue the strong mbers of the clans. Not only will it strengthen our fighting power, but it will also make the other clans rember that it was Zhaozhao who saved them."
Ao Zhaozhao stared at Siheng and sighed, "Uncle, you’re amazing!"
"You’re skilled, handso, and smart!"
"No wonder Auntie has taken such a liking to you, you little fresh grass!"
Nanli’s lips twitched. "Zhaozhao, you could’ve left that last part out."
Siheng, almost lost in the constant complints, smiled, his expression warm. "It’s just a simple strategy."
Ao Zhaozhao said, "This isn’t simple at all. I couldn’t have co up with it. I don’t care, anyway. Auntie and Uncle are just amazing."
Siheng’s heart soared. He glanced at Nanli, thinking, If only our future little ones could be as sweet-talking as this.
Nanli called him back to his senses. "Stop basking in your own glory. Let’s discuss the battle strategy."
She had visited the Dragon Palace a few tis before, so she quickly ca up with a plan. After briefing them, they set off for the Dragon Palace.
Nanli and Ao Zhaozhao transford into their human forms as they arrived at the Dragon Palace’s guard post. The rman soldiers were shocked and quickly surrounded them.
A human?
Nanli, dressed in a loose gown with a glowing material that shimred faintly underwater, had a remarkable appearance. Her hair was styled simply, with a hibiscus wood hairpin inserted and silver tassels hanging from it, complenting her look.
"A re human dares to co to the Dragon Palace? What is your intention?" The rman soldiers saw a pregnant woman move effortlessly underwater, not knowing her true strength. They didn’t imdiately attack.
"I want to see your rman King," Nanli said with a slight smile.
"Our king?" The rman soldiers looked at her and the child behind her. "You’re just a human cultivator, not an immortal. What qualifications do you have to see our king?"
Nanli tugged Ao Zhaozhao forward.
Only then did the rn notice that the child was bound with a spiritual whip.
Before they could speak, Nanli made a hand seal, revealing Ao Zhaozhao’s Dragon Horn.
Imdiately, the Aqua Clan around them trembled slightly, sensing the powerful dragon aura.
Even the rn were montarily shaken.
Their eyes widened in disbelief.
"Is... is this Dragon Clan?"
"There’s still a dragon in the Four Seas?"
"How is that possible? The last Azure Dragon perished in the Endless Abyss!"
The rn looked at each other, unsure how to react.
Before they could report back, Fang Yuan, the rman King, also sensed the dragon aura and rushed to the guard post.
Fang Yuan, who was two thousand years old, had blue skin and fins on his face, hands, and feet. Compared to rmaids, their appearance was far more fish-like. However, their overall combat ability was among the strongest in the Aqua Clan.
Fang Yuan recognized Ao Zhaozhao the mont he saw her. "You! Little Azure Dragon!"
He imdiately reached out to grab her.
Nanli swiftly pulled Ao Zhaozhao back, grabbing her by the neck. "rman King, this is my little Azure Dragon. Is it appropriate for you to just grab her like that?"
Fang Yuan withdrew his hand and stared at Ao Zhaozhao. She was covered in blood, one of her Dragon Horns was broken, and she appeared unconscious. It was clear she had endured a great deal of suffering.
He then turned his gaze back to Nanli. "Are you a cultivator from the human realm? It seems you know quite a lot about the Four Seas Aqua Clan."
Nanli remained calm and replied, "I just asked around a bit. Now, I wonder if I can ask the rman King for sothing in return for the little Azure Dragon I’ve caught?"
