Lu Chii looked at Jun Yexuan, who sat between herself and Qiao Qing. Instantly, her face dropped but she didn’t say anything more.
Instead, she asked Jun Yexuan, “How far have you gone?”
Jun Yexuan’s face tightened.
Mu Jinghang smiled, “Grandma Jun, Qingqing just had her coming of age party. My third brother isn’t an animal.”
Lu Chii nodded and then asked Qiao Qing, “Has Jun Yexuan ever told you his background?
Her words made Jun Yexuan and Mu Jinghang look anxious.
Lu Chii understood what that ant and sighed, “It looks like he really cares about you. It’s impossible for to make the claim that families like ours do not care about the backgrounds of others. We are the Jun family after all.”
By now, Jun Yexuan’s expression could be described as ugly.
Lu Chii continued, “But for Yexuan to choose you as my granddaughter-in-law, he must have his reasons.”
Mu Jinghang’s heart just resettled when Lu Chii did an u-turn again.
“But it’s not easy being the wife of a Jun. How about you move into this old house. I can learn more about you and at the sa ti, find soone to teach you the traditions and other rules.”
Jun Yexuan grinned and stood up. He said to Lu Chii, “Grandma, she’s not a low class and has no need to study any traditions or rules. You’ve t her now. Since you aren’t sincere about getting to know her, then we will leave. Goodbye!”
“Stop right there!” Lu Chii stared at Jun Yexuan, “This is the attitude you’re showing your grandma?! I just want her to behave when she’s here, how is that troubling her?! Don’t you rember what killed your father and your third uncle? How can you yell at over a woman?!”
Jun Yexuan snickered, “Grandma, you’re a woman too. Why make statents that lower your own status?”
Mu Jinghang’s face turned cold as well, “Look at what year we are in. Are you still living in the feudal era? What rules? What traditions? I don’t see any daughter who’s outstanding in the prominent four families here! Qingqing is exponentially better than all of them!”
The butler on the side thought, wasn’t the Mu family one of the prominent four?
So young master Mu was insulting his own sister?
Lu Chii was taken back by Mu Jinghang’s words. She rembered sothing and softened up.
“I was just making a suggestion. Since you’re keeping such a tight grip on her, then whatever. Right, when do you plan on allowing the seventh to co back?”
Jun Yexuan paused and didn’t answer.
Lu Chii continued, “He’s just a kid. What mistake did he make for you to punish him like that?! Don’t forget, you owe him! You’ll never be able to repay him in your lifeti!”
Jun Yexuan’s body quivered and his handso face turned a little pale.
Qiao Qing sensed this and held onto Jun Yexuan’s hand.
Mu Jinghang’s eyes widened and he cursed, “Grandma Jun! You’re of old age, please speak appropriately! Third bro was only a child back then. Why do you pin the fault of adults on him! He’s your grandson too!”
Mu Jinghang then said to Jun Yexuan, “Third bro, let’s go. I was wrong. We never should’ve co to this battlefield.”
“Hold on.” Lu Chii frowned, “That was my fault. I am simply too worried about little seven. Everyone’s waiting for you to start celebrating. Why would you leave before eating?”
She then held onto the butler’s arm to stand up, “Today’s your birthday, we shouldn’t argue. Let’s go to the dining room.”
