The army were positioned outside the portal. The Main defense force were the Warriors while the Mages were stationed to support and deal damage from their backs.
With their temporary team composition, they might have a more damage-based team. They don't have a tank yet and so they might have difficulties in defending.
While they were on the defending side, they must keep an offensive style. The best defense was the best offense they say. All should be on plan and the portal has to be protected. A mishap would lead to terrible consequences as the villagers inside were children, mothers, and elderly.
Rolan was still finding a way for his portal to be temporarily closed but his capabilities deed him not to as he has limits. Still, Solomon was making a way for it to be closed. And so, he cast a barrier there first in case.
The army were ready, all were perspiring beads of sweat. They were tense when they were defending. It was the Warrior's third battle and they were still tense, how much more to the Mages which was their first?
They prepared to throw their magic missiles towards the undead as their hands glow with magic.
The warriors were holding their weapons. most of them were using swords. Brawlers used staffs or gauntlets, Berserkers were claws or two handed swords, Swordsn were swords, Lifestealers were using curved daggers, and, Barbarians with axes and two handed weapons.
They were all on grounds while Rolan on the contrary was flying above. Looking at the incoming enemies that marched towards them. As he drifted in the air, he scanned that there was sothing off at the mont.
"Solomon, scan for entities that has a huge mana,"
[Affirmative]
[Looking for potential threats]
[Detected one with huge amount of mana]
[A Lich Overlord was seen 2 miles on 12 o'clock from your location]
[Also, an Undead Overlord was seen as its General of the Army]
From the looks of it, Rolan wanted to fly higher so that he will not be detected and will observe on a closer look. As a preemptive asure, he cast multi barrier on his body just in case. With it, he flew higher and made a look at the enemy.
From the skies, he saw the parading undead and a throne that was carried by undead servants. Sitting on it was a Lich adorned with a crown and a staff. Robed with red and black silk with a mask of bones.
The throne was full of bone spikes and flags were embedded on it.
Rolan was surprised, he did not know that the enemy was that powerful with legendary items with him. He supressed his mana to be invisble while using the camouflage skill of Basilisk. Up above, he soared and observed.
The Undead Overlord was also marching and has a tall stature. Making it as tall as two persons combined with their heights.
It has a huge build but not fat on its belly and carries two butchering knives on its hands. Mouth was agape while its teeth were nacing and shark-like. Razor sharp and spiky.
Looking at it, The Lich Overlord stood up as he felt sothing was off. Looking left and right as he was finding sothing. After that, he looked above him and went into a stare. He was watching Rolan but can't see him. Only to feel a little bit of mana that was seeping out from Rolan's suppression.
He was confused but did not mind it, he raised his hands and commanded his undead to walk faster. With a glowing ball of green light, he made the undead have a buff and their eyes reddened. Making them shriek and roar.
[Rage of the Undead]
Upon their roar, they walked faster and faster. Then after that, they imdiately ran. Heading towards the portal which Rolan's n was stationed.
"Maybe they found out the location of my portal." Rolan concluded.
He soared high and went back to the defense. He wanted to duel the master but it was not ti yet . He wanted to trim down the forces of pawns first. Also, there's the Undead Overlord that was guarding the Lich.
He landed on the ground and then made them ready.
"Reginald, you will be assigned as the general of the warrior army. Rein will be assigned as the Mage General. I will whittle down their numbers first." Rolan said and then flew.
Above ground, he saw the dashing undeads.
Upon his view, he stopped after having high altitude.
"Solomon, Create sli and mimic clone variants,"
[Affirmative]
"Create Explosive sli, Healing sli, Acid sli, Scorching sli, Ice sli. As for mimics, create Devourer mimic, Humanoid mimic, Shapeshifter mimic, Demonic mimic and Rabid mimic,"

Imdiately, from his hands, summoned mimics and slis. Multiple slis have gone out of his hands and gone falling from high altitude. Raining on the ground and attacked the undead. The enemies were soon attacked and they were whittled down bit by bit. Slis attacked the undead, so were absorbing them while others exploded and scorched the enemies.
Mimics munched the undead and gulped them. So were eaten whole. So shapeshifted and took the form of a man while others battled them. So Ice sli froze the undead and others scorched and exploded them afterwards.
Making a chaotic battlefield right in the from of his army's eyes. They were all amazed by his prowess.
Rolan was watching from above and was satisfied with the result. Making him smirk.
Now, the rest would be on the hands of his defense force.
Soon after, the defense was attacked by the undead and the battle began.
