Jiang Yingxue took a deep breath and gently pushed open the door—she imdiately saw her daughter sitting in front of the vanity mirror.

Ruan Hongzhuang had a happy smile on her face; standing beside her daughter, holding her hand, was none other than the mother she had longed for day and night, Su Xiu.

Shen Siyuan was sitting on a sofa not far away, and when he saw Jiang Yingxue co in, his face showed no surprise at all, he just nodded at her gently.

But Ruan Hongzhuang and Su Xiu were stunned when they saw Jiang Yingxue standing at the door, their smiles froze instantly, and for a mont, the room was silent except for the sound of breathing.

"Mom..."

Jiang Yingxue’s voice couldn’t help but tremble a little, she had practiced this word countless tis in her heart, but at this mont, saying it felt heavier than ever before.

Su Xiu was stunned for a mont and then a gentle smile blood on her face, like sunshine in spring, warming the heart and making it tremble: "It’s Lai, how have you been lately?"

"My na is Yingxue, Jiang Yingxue." Jiang Yingxue stubbornly corrected, but her eyes were already starting to redden.

Her original na was Su Lai, and she had always followed her mother’s surna, Su, as a child.

It was only later that she learned that she was not the biological daughter of Ruan Hongzhuang’s grandfather, which was why she took after her mother.

However, Grandpa treated her as if she were his own, pampering and loving her from childhood to adulthood, giving her the best of everything, doing all that a father could do.

And because of this, after learning the truth about her lineage, Jiang Yingxue felt a deep sense of guilt towards her father.

She always felt that so of her mother’s past actions did not deserve the father’s unconditional love.

Her father had spent his life giving silently, giving everything to her and her mother without a word of complaint.

So later, she resolutely changed her surna to Jiang, following her father’s surna.

It was because of this that her relationship with her mother dropped to a freezing point, and it took many years to thaw.

But now, looking at her mother’s silvery hair and still warm smile, all past argunts and grievances seed to vanish in this mont.

Tears slowly welled up at the corner of Jiang Yingxue’s eyes, but she forced a smile, saying word by word with a slight sob in her voice: "I am living very well and very happily now."

"That’s good, that’s good..." Su Xiu nodded repeatedly, her eyes also reddening slightly.

"Mom..."

Jiang Yingxue called softly again, her voice trembling more evidently.

"Yes?"

Su Xiu responded imdiately, her voice still gentle.

"I’m sorry."

These three words had been hidden in Jiang Yingxue’s heart for too long.

Saying them at this mont felt like lifting a thousand-pound burden, and tears finally slid down her cheeks, but a relieved smile blood on her face.

"I’ll go on the left, you go on the right, I’ll scatter behind, you scatter in front..."

Dou Dou was carrying a small bamboo basket, full of prepared flower petals.

She was whispering, assigning tasks to Duoduo.

The two little ones were dressed in ancient fashion, like immortal children who had stepped down from a mural.

Duoduo didn’t really want to pay attention to her, snorting in disdain at Dou Dou’s so-called arrangents.

She couldn’t even handle herself, and now she wanted to handle her?

"It’s about to start, don’t argue, okay?" Ruan Hongzhuang reminded them from behind.

The two little ones would scatter flowers to lead the way in front, then she would step onto the wooden bridge and et Shen Siyuan coming from the other side in the center of the stage.

"Don’t worry, leave everything to ." Dou Dou patted her chest in assurance.

"It’s exactly because it’s left to you that I’m not reassured," Taozi said on the side.

She had already brought Grandma to the venue, and after settling Grandma in her seat, she hurried back to Ruan Hongzhuang’s side, as she was one of the bridesmaids today.

"Aunt, saying that really hurts my feelings." Dou Dou clutched at her heart, indicating her heart was wounded deeply.

"The heart is here." Taozi corrected her by pointing to the location of her own heart.

"That’s you, you’re biased, my heart is right here, I can feel it," Dou Dou declared confidently.

Her words amused Ruan Hongzhuang and the several bridesmaids.

At this point, the emcee next to them said, "It’s about to start, I’ll open the door and you all go in."

"Okay." Upon hearing this, the two little ones imdiately braced themselves for action.

As the music played, the double doors opened in response.

Dou Dou and Duoduo, the two little ones, went in first, scattering petals as they walked.

The two little ones were very dutiful and responsible.

And Ruan Hongzhuang, wearing a phoenix crown and a red robe, holding a round fan to half cover her face, followed them slowly into the banquet hall with Taozi’s support.

Everyone held their breath, montarily astounded by how resplendent Ruan Hongzhuang’s robe was.

At this mont, Ruan Hongzhuang looked less like a bride, and more like a majestic queen with an invisible aura that instinctively made people hold their breath, fearful of being disrespectful.

But at that mont, a sudden "oh~" broke the silence.

It was Tang Tang, pointing discontentedly at Dou Dou and Duoduo on the stage, complaining to Mao Sani who was holding her.

She seed to be asking why they were there?

Why didn’t I go up with them?

"You have to wait a bit, you’re responsible for bringing the rings to them."

Standing beside her, Jiang Yingxue, reached out and took Tang Tang from Mao Sani’s arms.

Tang Tang, seeing Jiang Yingxue handing over a box, was curious and wanted to open it.

"No, later you’ll have to deliver it up there." Jiang Yingxue pointed to the stage above.

Tang Tang’s little face still looked bewildered.

Jiang Yingxue returned the little one back to Mao Sani, then pointed to the stage.

Mao Sani nodded imdiately to indicate understanding.

This had been explained earlier, and Mao Sani had practiced it countless tis in her mind, ensuring there would be no problems.

The only variable was Tang Tang, hoping everything would go smoothly.

With the music’s accompanint, Ruan Hongzhuang finally reached the center of the stage, eting Shen Siyuan who had co from the other side.

Under the blessings of the emcee, everything proceeded according to ancient rites.

Of course, this was a modified version, as exchanges of rings weren’t part of the old customs.

As Shen Siyuan turned to look at her, Mao Sani placed Tang Tang on the stage.

Then she pointed to Shen Siyuan and Ruan Hongzhuang, signaling for Tang Tang to deliver the item.

"Oh?"

Tang Tang scratched her small head and then staggered over towards Shen Siyuan.

All eyes fell on Tang Tang for a mont.

The little one was not afraid at all, still with a giddy smile.

anwhile, she looked around curiously.

Her adorable deanor prompted a wave of good-natured laughter from the crowd.

But just then, Tang Tang suddenly stopped, bent down as if to pick sothing up, but with her little buttocks sticking too high, she ended up bumping her head on the ground and then fell back on her bottom, which caused another burst of laughter.

But neither Shen Siyuan nor anyone else stepped up to help, simply watching with smiling faces.

Ruan Hongzhuang even lifted her veil slightly to sneak a peek.

"I might as well go up there," Dou Dou muttered quietly, having completed her task.

Mao Sani was anxiously watching from below, wanting to step up to help but unsure if it was appropriate.

She wanted to say a word of encouragent or two, but couldn’t utter a sound, feeling extrely anxious.

Just then, Shen Siyuan took the microphone from the emcee’s hand...
