Lana Jason was caught entirely unprepared; she never expected Rhys Hawthorne to deliver her longed-for "grandchild."

He was enclosed in a transparent sealed bag, mingled with other blood tissues.

Coupled with Victoria Monroe’s dark red blood-stained clothes, Lana Jason glanced at it and was scared to death, collapsing onto the ground.

Julian Fordham, however, rushed over and cautiously picked up the sealed plastic bag from the floor.

The scene was utterly terrifying, yet Julian Fordham was not afraid.

His hands trembled as he held the plastic bag up to his face, wearing an expression of both joy and sorrow.

He and Victoria Monroe had a child!

But the child left this world forever without ever having seen their mom and dad.

Corbin Prescott didn’t expect that after coming ho from the airport to rest for half a day, such a tragedy would occur.

By the ti he arrived, he saw Julian Fordham kneeling on the ground.

Julian Fordham hung his head down, gritting his teeth, as tears fell onto the sealed bag, hitting the knees with splashes of tear blooms along the smooth surface.

Corbin Prescott approached Julian Fordham, with countless words at the tip of his tongue, yet he couldn’t utter a single one.

Noticing his presence, Julian Fordham raised his head, holding the sealed bag as he grinned eerily, "Corbin, look, Victoria and I have a child."

"Boss..." Corbin Prescott’s voice ca out hoarse, worrying as he observed Julian Fordham, fearing his old illness might relapse.

Julian Fordham laughed briefly, then his expression turned desolate, "This child was conceived through much hardship; she must have been very happy back then, wanting to share this joy with . Yet during her happiest mont, she heard the news of Rachel Hayes’ pregnancy."

"It’s who hard her and also hard our child. How can a person like qualify to be a father?"

Julian Fordham fiercely slapped himself on the face.

The crisp sound of the slap echoed through the living room as Lana Jason rushed over to persuade him, "How is it your fault? It’s all because Victoria Monroe was selfish. Why didn’t she tell us she was pregnant? Had we known about the pregnancy, would this tragedy have happened? It’s her own fault that today’s outco is what it is!"

Her words drew Julian Fordham’s attention.

Julian Fordham wrapped the embryo with Victoria Monroe’s blood-stained clothes as if it were still inside its mother’s body.

"Corbin, take good care of my child."

When saying this, Corbin Prescott felt a sourness in his heart, "Yes, Boss."

Julian Fordham slowly rose to walk toward Lana Jason, and despite being his own son, Lana Jason felt extre anxiety.

He was soaked all over, leaving a footprint with each step he took on the floor, resembling a water ghost coming ashore.

Lana Jason retreated incessantly, "Julian..."

Julian Fordham’s voice was low and hoarse, "Mom, what exactly did Victoria do wrong? Since childhood, we grew up in the sa courtyard, and whenever she had sothing delicious, she’d never forget to share it with and my sister. Her first salary from acting as an extra in the crew was spent on buying you a cashre coat."

"You said you wanted to live in a big house, so when she beca famous, she bought you this villa. I rember you were very happy back then; why did you change later?"

Julian Fordham inched closer step by step with a chill that was heart-stopping.

His gaze towards Lana Jason had lost all semblance of familial affection, replaced only by a piercing murderous intent.

It seed as if the woman before him was not his mother, but rather an enemy!

His voice was spectral and cold, "Mom, you all have driven Victoria to this point, why not give her life back?"
