Andria’s POV

"According to the law, any wolf who allies with the vampires is sent to the underworld to be with them or killed—both the wolf and his or her family, because they are seen as the traitorous family.

But in Tracy’s case, she didn’t do it against her kind; she was fooled into it, due to her ambition; therefore, she would only be expelled.

But as for Larissa, both she and her family will be killed before the capital’s tribunal. Therefore, as the headmistress of this school, I’m terminating her academic year and sending her to the capital to face the wrath of justice.

Now, as for any other wolf who would dare to follow their parts, one day you would be caught and your punishnt might be far worse than theirs." The headmistress exhaled again and continued.

"Lucas and Wayne, being truant students and near accomplices, will be suspended and won’t be allowed to participate in the forthcoming examinations. In other words, they have failed for this session.

Now I admonish you all to conduct yourselves in a manner befitting the school, as there are punishnts for wrongdoing, but also rewards for good acts. Now you all can return to your classes," The headmistress finished, and everyone got up, each muttering to each other.

"I feel for the innocent mbers of Larissa’s family, I an, see what her stupidity has brought upon her family," Becca murmured.

"Aria, Aria," a voice called from behind, and I recognized the voice; it was l’s.

I turned, and it was actually her. My brows furrowed, but I was curious as to what she needed for this ti around.

’What is it, l? You just appear and disappear," I asked impatiently.

She looked from Arlo to Michaela, contemplating if it was a good ti or place to state her problem, then she asked, "Are you coming to the apartnt today?"

"Why?" I asked her, looking straight into her eyes. I was growing increasingly frustrated with her gullible act.

"Because I got sothing important to discuss with only you," she blurted.

"Well, she wouldn’t be going back to that apartnt. In fact, we will be applying for a change of dorm space soon," Liara interjected, and it made smile genuinely.

l looked to , as if she was expecting to say sothing, maybe sothing different. "You heard her, I wouldn’t be coming back to the apartnt, so you can choose sowhere else you would want to talk to ."

"I don’t know anywhere.. That would be better, Ari, please, it’s urgent, and you were my friend, rember," l pleaded.

I hated to hear those words from her. It softens my heart, but I also didn’t want her to take advantage of either.

"I might head to the library after classes today, maybe you can et there, don’t forget to vote for in the forthcoming elections," I stated and then turned to join my friends who had already started heading to classes.

"I didn’t know you still spoke with her. I never for once liked her; she’s either too slow or too sly for my liking," Becca said.

"She was once my friend, regardless, and we had really good tis, and I can’t pin any offence to her, so why wouldn’t I give her a listening ear?" I asked.

"Yeah, that counts for friendships, I think she was caught in between choosing her childhood friend’s side, although she was obviously wrong and her new friend who seed right, so maybe I understand her a little, how tight the situation could have been for her," Arlo chipped in sarcastically.

"I wasn’t defending her, I’m just stating the facts. She decided to stay out of whatever was between Larissa and because she didn’t want to have to choose sides. I don’t like that action either, but I understand that maybe it was a hard decision for her to make," I retorted.

Then suddenly their scent filled my nose. The Alpha successors must be close, and just as I had thought, they appeared in front of us.

They seed to have just co out of the locker room; they didn’t co to the auditorium for the assembly, as usual; they felt above the law.

I felt my heart beat hard against my chest. Are they going to ignore like they did in the sick bay, or are they going to say sothing nasty to as usual or sothing harsh? I really can’t tell, but I would take any criticism they offer, provided they didn’t just ignore .

"No, you wouldn’t take anything they say, Ari, I know you," Athena spoke up.

Oh yes, I know I wouldn’t take anything they said to , but I don’t like them being silent, although what cos out of their mouths most of the ti annoys the shit out of .

"Ari, you look lost," Liara said, snapping her fingers at , as the Alpha successors walked past .

I shrugged off the bad feeling I had; maybe it was one of their bad days. "Was it that obvious that I was staring at them?" I asked, a faint blush appearing on the sides of my cheeks.

"Your mouth was literally on the floor, I’m sure they noticed that," Liara teased.

"Urrgh, that can’t be true, oh my goodness, why?" I panicked, blushing harder, and they all burst out laughing.

"What’s so funny about my predicant, can’t you see it’s embarrassing?" I mumbled, and they laughed harder.

"Ari, I didn’t know that you had this much humor in you. I’ve laughed harder than I’ve laughed in ages," Michaela blurted amidst laughter.

"It wasn’t so obvious that you were staring; Liara was just teasing you. You needed to look at your face, you looked embarrassingly horrified," Becca added.

A feeling of relief washed through . It would have been very ugly if they caught staring. I don’t want those arrogant wolves to think they’ve finally caught in their charm.

We were almost to our class, having just walked past my forr class, when Tricia and Alexa confronted us.

The audacity, I thought they would be hiding their faces by now.
