Severin weighed the options quietly. Which one would ensure his survival?

Severin took a deep breath. The pain behind his eyes was fading into a dull throbbing. "Let start from Sector Delta. It was Darius Faulkner that sent , but that was only because he wanted to use for sacrifice to a monster inside there."
Julius adjusted his glasses. "Although the Sector Delta was said to be an old research and the reason it was sealed off was because there’s so kind of Etherion plague?
"If it’s monsters, can’t the Empire wipe them out?"
Severin looked at him flatly. "The monster is one of the Aberrant Singularity generals."
"Oh, so it’s one of the ge..." Julius went very still.
He wasn’t the only one, as everyone stiffened. Ethan looked as if he wasn’t sure he wanted to hear what Severin was hiding after all. Serena and Celia opened their mouths in shock.
And Derrick physically took a step away from Severin.
Severin smiled. " and Darius had... an enmity between us before we t at the Academy. In fact, it was him that took away from the street and brought to the Academy."
"Wait... wait!" Derrick looked at him with wide eyes. "The Head Instructor personally brought you to the Academy? Is he like your guardian or what?"
Derrick was thinking about all the tis he had bullied Severin, and he shivered at the thought.
"No. He’s not my guardian. He wanted to kill . Listen..."
And so he told them briefly about the Obsidian Bleed and what they did to him and others, and what one branch of the Obsidian Bleed wanted with the monster locked away at Sector Delta.
He touched on Dolor and what happened in Sector Delta, but he didn’t tell them about the mories he gained and his own mories, nor did he go into specifics about his powers. Those things were simply too tied up with his survival.
"...now, Darius Faulkner wanted to take that power from ," he concluded.
His teammates stared at him with different displays of emotions, but all of them showed shock.

They couldn’t believe their ears. Severin went from a mysterious person to a mysterious monster in the blink of an eye. They all sat in silence.
All their previous outrage about Severin not carrying them along leaked away from them as if it never existed. So of them shuddered and wished they hadn’t been told.
Aberrant Singularity general? That’s what is behind the system? They couldn’t believe themselves.
Julius swallowed. "Well, I... how are you carrying all this with you all this while? What are you going to do? How can you handle all of this?"
Severin raised his brows. "Handle? We are here in Isolde Dusk to take care of things."
"What do you an?" Ethan asked in a tight voice.
"We are going to get the suicide assassin squad for fighting."
"You’re going to fight the Obsidian Bleed?"
Severin revealed a smile. "No. That’s too much for to bite. I’m going to use it to fight Darius Faulkner."
"You’re going to kill the Head Instructor?" Serena asked in shock.
"Of course. He represents the branch of the Obsidian Bleed that wanted . And he’s the most active. I’m going to kill him and then use that as bait to lure in more enemies," Severin said in a calm tone.
His mbers exchanged looks. They didn’t know how to react. And they were thinking—maybe they shouldn’t have asked him anything?
They’d all done a lot of things, but none of them could say they’ve tried killing one of their Instructors before. In fact, it was the first ti all of them had ever been involved in speaking about assassinating soone so high up.
"Can’t we report to the governnt?" Celia asked.
Julius adjusted his glasses and sighed. "This is complicated. From what Severin said and the fact that we are in Isolde Dusk, that ans that the person behind Darius Faulkner has an extraordinary amount of power and influence that covers the whole Empire."
There was a mont of silence.
Then Derrick was the first to snort coldly and shook his head. "Fuck."
Ethan backed away. "Wait... are you saying...?"
Even the two, Serena and Celia, who were the last to understand, flinched.
Severin tensed slightly, and his inside trembled with pain. The power was still there, but his body could hardly handle it. But he was ready to call it again if he needed to.
If they backed out of the secret they so wanted.
That was also one of the drawbacks. What if they didn’t want to be part of everything after he told them?
There was only one thing Severin could do then.
Were they going to back out and threaten his life? Because that would be a threat to his survival if they backed out after hearing the secrets.
Julius sighed. "I know the Commander is the Emperor’s agent. I should have known nothing about you is that easy, Severin Reignhart. Nothing is ever simple when it cos to you."
Severin smiled, but it was with coldness.
He waited for their decision, after which, he would carry out his own as well.
