61: Chapter 61: Reunion 61: Chapter 61: Reunion Although he learned to fly early on, Leon never dared to get too close to those large cities belonging to Humans, fearing that soone might co out of nowhere and kill him.

Cultists are everywhere, which proves that as long as you don’t stick your head out and don’t cause trouble, not that many people will be watching you.

Today, having transford into a human form, Leon finally had the chance to approach the city without worrying about his safety, and frankly, he was quite excited about it.

There was no entry fee to pay; the Oasis City didn’t have any city walls.

The city’s architecture seed to blend elents of various cultures, with the round tents of the desert nomads as well as the towering temples and spires built of golden sandstone, gleaming under the sunlight…

Even Leon, who had seen many sights, was still quite stunned.

Leon’s gaze shifted from the city guards, who were riding cals and ard with scimitars and spears, to the temple guards.

He thought the city guards didn’t look particularly strong in combat, but the temple guards seed quite formidable…

To prevent any accidents, such as the Divine gaze, he dared not get too close to the temples.

Following a rchant caravan, Leon headed toward the market, located in a corner of the Oasis City, next to the city center’s large erald lake, where palms and various tropical plants could be seen everywhere.

Of course, Leon wouldn’t make the foolish mistake of running around in strange and outlandish clothes.

Upon noticing that the dress style of the passersby was slightly different from his, he imdiately found a store and had the owner recomnd him an outfit…

Although the gaze of n no longer attracted him, the gaze of won still did, as he was indeed quite charming now.

After looting the Efreeti’s treasury, Leon could be considered wealthy, and unlike normal Dragons, he wasn’t stingy at all.

He didn’t mind spending a little money to hire a guide as an outsider, to avoid any troubles or faux pas.

Normal Red Dragons belong to the chaotic evil alignnt, whether he is evil or not is debatable, but he certainly belongs to the Order Camp.

In the bustling market, adventurers and rchants were selling all sorts of goods, from spices, silks to materials dropped by monsters, and even rare Magic Items; bargaining voices and conversations in various languages filled the air.

Leon learned from his guide that many ruins and tombs lay around the Oasis City, relics left by the Ancient Fallen Empire, with many Magic Items being found in those ruins and tombs.

Leon was very interested in that Ancient Fallen Empire, but alas, the guide didn’t know much either, repeating that the Empire’s beliefs differed from the present, with people back then worshiping the Three Pillars of Gods: a golden feathered eagle, a red feathered snake, and a giant.

Leon spent an entire day at the market, mainly because he enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

He could spend half an hour at a stall selling desert cats or half a day at one selling monster materials, listening to an adventurer-clad stall owner passionately recount their battle with a Sand Roll Beast.

Leon hired a guide for three days until he had a basic understanding of the common knowledge about life and work in the Oasis City.

During the five days, Leon spent more than half of each day sleeping and the remaining half split between eating, drinking, and leisurely strolling.

Leon heard about the existence of adventurer’s guilds within the Empire, albeit limited to individual locations and not an extensive organization covering the entire Empire’s power, which facilitated a platform for various adventures.

Unfortunately, there was none here.

Even though there was no adventurer’s guild, there were similar places.

Many adventurers gathered in the tavern next to the market, and those in need would co to seek their help.

“Have you ever seen a Mummy?

I have, in the underground tombs…”

“What’s so great about Mummies?

I’ve seen the Sphinx, who was as tall as a two-story building, asked a riddle—what is it that the more it exists, the less you see it…”

Those adventurers liked telling stories when they drank too much; how else could they let others know of their capabilities?

Leon enjoyed going to the tavern to listen to their tales while savoring delicious food.

“I don’t think I’ve told this before, but just a few days ago our caravan encountered a Red Dragon…

Rember that, a Red Dragon, not a Blue Dragon or a Brass Dragon.

I took the lead and pointed at the Red Dragon, shouting ‘Evil Dragon, flee now if you don’t want to die…'”

Leon really hadn’t thought that gobbling lons would lead to him being the topic of discussion.

He wasn’t angry, but rather found it amusing, since that person kept praising how powerful and terrifying the Red Dragon was—after all, only a powerful enemy can prove one’s own strength.

He did care about how that rchant caravan managed to cross the desert after he stole their food…

After thinking it through, probably because he hadn’t stolen their most essential water— with water, one can obtain food by hunting along the way.

Leon didn’t rember which adventurer told him that in a secluded corner of the Oasis City, there was a shop owned by a mysterious beautiful lady who opened and closed the shop according to her mood, dealing in a range of Magic Items, including all those odds and ends from the Ancient Fallen Empire like Death Masks, Undead Books, Canopic Jars…

That beautiful lady owner was a greedy person, severely underpaying when buying and asking sky-high prices when selling.

An item could be flipped for several tis its buying price, but she was quite experienced, and you could ask her if you didn’t understand sothing, often receiving unexpected answers.

It was a good idea to browse that shop before an adventure, have a chat with the beautiful lady owner, ask her for a divination, and listen to her product recomndations, which might lead to unexpected gains.

As long as you didn’t cause trouble in that shop, the beautiful lady owner was easy to talk to.

It didn’t matter whether you were a good person or a bad one, even if you were a Cultist, and simply browsing without buying was fine too.

Otherwise, you would definitely not be able to find your corpse the next day.

Naturally, Leon wouldn’t miss out on such an interesting event.

He found the shop, a big tent, and activated his Heavenly Eye Technique in advance to check it out.

Seeing no blinding Magic Light, he confidently walked in.

The dark tent was lit by a few lanterns.

“Why does the lost traveler co here?”

The female owner sitting behind the counter wore a black hood adorned with crystal tassels; when she bowed her head, it covered half her face, and when she looked up, her slightly curled bangs of desert color were revealed, with her sky-blue eyes glancing around, bewitching and alluring…

Leon had to admit that the adventurers had not exaggerated; indeed, she was a great beauty…

Or rather, a great beauty Dragon.

The adventurers couldn’t see it, but Leon had the Heavenly Eye Technique, which not only could see through Invisibility but could also reveal the true form of demons and monsters.

What beautiful lady owner?

She was actually a Blue Dragon, the very sa Blue Dragon he had encountered a few days ago.
