Sunday ca by in just a few hours with headlines of Liam’s and Jane’s official engagent splashed the internet but that right now was not the families concern.
Liam had just woken all of them up with an important call informing them that they were all to assemble at the Lu mansion by 2pm.
He did not give them much information except for the fact that they were all supposed to be there since they were going to be eting a very important guest.
On the other hand, Daniel (The underworld king) had already prepared his second in command, (Rick) who is also Mary’s ntor by telling him where they were going to be at 2pm scaring the man because he kind of had an idea on what was going to happen but he was in no way going to stop anything because it was high ti for his boss to et both of his daughters and for him to know what happened to his woman.
Rick was ntally prepared for everything as they pulled up at the Lu mansion that afternoon, the exact ti for the eting.
Daniel took a deep breath as he got out of the car, knowing he was going to et his daughter. He couldn’t contain his excitent but tried hiding it anyway.
Everyone else was seated in the living room as they waited for Daniel and Rick, each of the n embracing their won but Jane chose to sit in between her grandparents, away from Liam since he is the one who chose the break or distance from them and until he rectified his actions, she wasn’t going to go near him voluntarily.
Liam had already foreseen this and even though he chose to try and ignore their distance, it still hurt but all these thoughts dispersed when they heard foreign footsteps and Liam stood up to welco his guests when three voices were heard at once.
"Daniel?"
"Kind sir? ntor?"
Both Mary and the Huang elders said at once but what attracted Daniel first was the two voices he hadn’t heard in years and as if it was a habit he imdiately turned to the elders and bowed deeply, surprising the others.
"Daniel my boy please don’t bow, it was our fault please don’t, we don’t deserve it.." Grandma Huang imdiately spoke on seeing the young man bow but he had already shown his respects so her words didn’t matter that much.
Liam cleared his throat attracting everyone’s attention, with an intention of introducing Daniel first before he catches up with the Huang couple.
"Everyone, good afternoon. I called all of us here because I was able to secure a eting with the underworld king yesterday night and he agreed to et us. et Daniel."
Daniel shook Liam’s hand out of respect but Mary’s mouth was wide open out of shock but sudden anger consud her.
"Oh dear ntor! You are really in hot soup but look at this.. I am finally able to et the boss even if none of it is due to my own efforts but still..."
Rick visibly flinched and gulped as Mary approached them, ending up standing right infront of the two.
"It is you.." Daniel suddenly spoke when he finally saw the young girl who had consud his thoughts for a long ti so ti back, the girl who he felt safe helping even without knowing her. (Chapter 218)
His voice attracted Mary and get whole deanor changed as she started rumbling how he was her inspiration and everything, making him surprisingly chuckle but when the three noticed the pin dropping silence, they looked back at everyone who at this ti had their mouths open in shock making Mary raise her eyebrows in questioning.
Rick ntally sighed knowing this was bound to happen sooner, I an who wouldn’t notice that Mary is the splitting image of Daniel, a complete copy and paste!
"I knew you were their father Daniel! I knew it!!! " an excited grandpa Huang spoke upon seeing both father and daughter, completely unaware of their looks as they looked at them as if they had grown two heads.
"excuse ?" Daniel spoke seemingly confused on what was really happening but Mary seed to be getting what was happening.
"*sigh* Hello everyone, I am Rick, Daniel’s right hand man and Mary’s ntor and I would like to say sothing..alot actually...please take your seats and can I kindly have a mirror."
Rick finished speaking after attracting everyone’s attention, and a maid imdiately rushing in with a mirror.
He gestured Mary and Daniel to stand next to each other and gave them the mirror, once again guiding them to both look into the mirror.
Both of their eyes widened in shock and before anyone could say a thing, the pair of daughter and father tightly hugged each other in fear of letting the other go as tears visibly flowed down their cheeks.
Before he could even say a thing further, he cut the hug and his line of sight finally landed on Nicole as his tears stread down his cheeks even more.
"Co here sweetheart, you look like your mother, co say hi to your dad..i know I have not been the best father but I..."
Daniel did not get to finish his statent when Nicole suddenly jumped on him, hugging him tight as if there was no tomorrow breaking his heart further, making the man imdiately hold the two girls tightly, each of the involuntarily laying their heads in the crook of each side of his neck, the only sound being heard being the sound of their tears.
The rest of the family silently watched as the father and daughters tightly embracing each other, taking in every single emotion at that particular mont, the sight being too magical that so of them felt tears stinging them.
It took 10 whole minutes for the three to finally part but not without Daniel lovingly kissing their foreheads, pouring in all his love in those two kisses, sothing each father in the room knew well about.
After they cald down, Rick gestured them to sit down and it ended with both daughters refusing to leave their father’s side making everyone chuckle and Daniel grin happily like a chessarian cat.
"Before we discuss what brought us here, I had few revelations and apologies to make." Rick took over and nobody stopped him but nobody noticed Rebecca’s cheeks heat up every ti Rick spoke.
"First of all, I am sorry to you Daniel, Mary, Nicole, the Huang elders and everyone at large.. I knew who Mary and Nicole were all this while and I knew Daniel was their father."
The man spoke in one breath but the mont he finished, a murderous aura surrounded the air making everyone shudder no matter how strong they were buy the two twins gently rubbed their father’s hands to calm him down because they felt that Rick had a reason for his actions.
Everyone stared at the scene in an amused manner because they knew the twins already had the man wrapped around their fingers without even trying.
Daniel visibly relaxed,a signal for Rick to continue but his mind seed to be in a turmoil.
"So I never intended to hide this but knowing Daniel and Mary, who specifically took everything after her father, I knew the two were going to bring hell on earth looking for Emily once they found each other but I never wanted them to know or et each other up until Emily’s ’murderer’ got punished but since fate has its own way, I will just reveal everything."
"I was the one who took Mary to an orphanage after what happened to Emily. I was unable to rescue Nicole from the hands of that family but I lost track of her when Mary got kidnapped and... " He didn’t finish that part about the kidnap because he felt that part was Mary’s story to tell and they all understood him. Daniel nodded his head towards him telling him to continue.
"At that ti, I could in no way involve Daniel because the man was not stable knowing he lost his woman, not even knowing if his kids are even alive. I did my best to rescue Emily and as we are speaking she is still lying in a comma, she has been all these years, with my advanced technology, I’ve been able to keep her vitals stable all these years...I.. "
"WHERE IS MY MOTHER RICK?!!!" Mary who couldn’t keep her cool imdiately went to another mode upon hearing his words making Ian imdiately stand up and wrap his hands around her, whispering sweet nothings to her making her loosen her grip on Rick’s neck.
