After Mary underwent a rollercoaster of emotions, everyone else in the room changed their minds after finally getting her point, making them start to consider different ways to finally end Anna’s support, pleasing Mary greatly.
After their eting, everyone started dispersing but one particular person was unusually quiet. Jane noticed Liam’s mood and as much as she wanted to speak one or two things with him, his current mood ended up pushing her away, making her sulk in her car seat as she waited for him to take them ho or wherever he was going.
Liam on the other hand was going through a bunch of emotions all at once. He felt like a disappointnt, the biggest failure to exist and it is at that point that he finally gave into the negative emotions that were badly trying to consu him.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he suddenly stopped the car, pushing Jane forward since she forgot to put on her seatbelt making her scream in pain but the man was too far gone to even notice what he had done.
"What on..Wooah Liam! Slow the fuck down!" She scread on top of her lungs when Liam changed the direction of their destination, heading to the Lu mansion but in a terrifying speed.
All this while he could only think on how he was such a disappointnt and a weakling before his own woman, not being able to even protect her!
They luckily arrived safely but Jane’s heart was still beating fast due to the shock she just received but if she thought the shock was over then she was mistaken.
Liam imdiately got out of the car after he ca to a stop and went to the other side, taking Jane with him into the mansion, trying to ignore her ’rant’ and the visible bump on her head in the fear of being gentle again and aborting his plan.
"Liam.. What..?" Mother Lu was trying to form a proper sentence when she saw the two youngsters march in. The other mbers were also trying to figure out what was not happening, including Chloe and Ryan who chose to spend the night in the Lu mansion.
"Mrs Lu.. Everyone, I am sincerely sorry for my stupid actions, I failed you.. I am a disappointnt to your daughter her and to everyone at large..I.." Liam started speaking, his face visibly sulking, showing defeat but suddenly they all detected a determined look coming from him and Jane widened her eyes in shock as tears started pouring out as if she predicted his next step and words.
"No Liam you can’t...you..." She was trying to speak but her words were choking her instead.
Liam looked at her with sympathy before he spoke after taking a long breath.
"It is not easy for either Jane but this is a mistake I made and this is sothing I will personally correct, I failed to protect the love of my life that she has to fight on her own without even telling ..."
"This evening, I bring back to you your daughter, I will only feel okay to have her by my side every night knowing I finally stood up as her man, as her hero and as her protector when I rectify the actions caused by my softness."
By now Jane was crying and shaking, trying to shake her head, telling Liam that they could do this but Liam was far gone, consud by guilt and suddenly craved to pour so blood.
He shut his eyes for a second, trying to stay firm in his decision as he pulled Jane in for a hug, a tight one before kissing her forehead.
"I am sorry my queen but I don’t want you to see as a weak man, everything has been caused by my softness and relaxation. I know you probably hate right now but I can’t sleep knowing there are people out there who want my wife and kid dead, people who are.. Umph.."
His words were cut short when Jane pulled him down towards her level, sealing their mouths with a kiss, a kiss not gentle but a rough kiss, relaying all the emotions she was feeling right now, hurt, confusion, revenge, pain.. Everything.
Liam didn’t dare take control of the kiss and let her control every thing, he only tightened his arms around her, even after testing the familiar tallic taste of blood, he did not stop her from biting him until she personally pulled away breathing heavily.
"You better." Those are the only two words she said to him before she disappeared upstairs to her own bedroom leaving everyone looking at the couple with sympathy but they knew better than to question them or even dare stop them.
Liam looked at his woman as she disappeared upstairs before his own deanor changed, scaring the Lu’s. He nodded at them and without waiting for their response, he turned and left the mansion, his aura screaming danger. Pure danger and revenge.
He chose to drive to his office since he couldn’t sleep on their bed without Jane by his side.
Jane was staring at his disappearing car from her bedroom window, her tears flowing uncontrollably but when she rembered how he looked before getting into the car, her mood slightly improved knowing her man was going to fight for them with determination.
This suddenly improved her mood and she decided not to stay idle and fight beside her king no matter their distance.
"My poor babies!" Grandma Lu finally spoke making everyone shake their heads but Ryan’s sudden words made them nod their heads in agreent.
"Let them be grandma, let them fight even if they are now sort of taking a break from each other because even if I was in Liam’s position, I believe I would be feeling worse so let us let them be, I believe Liam knows what he’s doing and my sister knows why she agreed with him."
They all nodded in agreent as his words sunk in their minds before they finally retired to bed each with their own minds drifting in a different direction.
Anna on the other hand chose not to deal with her ’captives’ for the night because she wanted so beauty sleep before finally dealing with them. She drove back to Edward’s apartnt, all smiles and happy not knowing she awoke sothing she shouldn’t have awoken.
Edward on the other hand ’welcod’ her as usual not knowing he was about to be dragged down with Anna in a completely ruthless way. If he knew this was going to happen a day later then he would have already taken action against Anna imdiately.
Liam was craving for revenge but what this man didn’t know is that he was not only going to bring Anna down, he was going to bring down the whole gang, the Xi family, the Chen family, Mary’s enemies, everyone and everything.
"You seem happy and excited, what’s up?" Edward asked the clown as she slid on her side of the bed, humming happy tunes.
"I an, I’m just happy, nothing much."
Edward just shrugged as he watched the girl’s breath getting even making him sigh as he wondered what things would be like if he hadn’t cheated on Jane.. Maybe they could be parents now...
Back in his office, Liam carefully went through things as he ca up with his plan. He was in no way a skilled hacker like Jane but his skills weren’t that bad either and after so ti he was able to get the contacts of the underworld king.
The man ntally applauded himself for his efforts were getting him sowhere. He knew Mary wanted to be the one doing this but he wasn’t going to let his pregnant in law do all the work.
What surprised Liam to the core is that this man easily agreed to et up with him without putting his guards up that much. He had to double check whether he was really speaking to the right person and after making sure he really was, the man relaxed as he ended up falling asleep on his work desk.
What he also didn’t know was that this sa man agreed to et him up because he knew what his third was currently doing and it was obvious one of them was going to soon reach out to him.
He also agreed to Liam’s request once he knew he was going to et the whole big family, aning he would be able to see his beloved Nicole...tomorrow was going to be a pretty interesting day for not only him but the whole Huang family at large.
