There was sothing different about her this ti around. Her eyes, were different, they looked sharper now, more focused compared to the last ti that I had seen her. They looked hollow, didn’t hold any recognition in them, it felt as she couldn’t see and the only thing she cared about was ending my life and listening to my father’s instructions.

There was still that empty gaze but it was different now, lighter and more mischievous. She may not look like she was under my father’s control anymore but that doesn’t an she was my sister. She wasn’t the little girl I know anymore. Sothing was wrong with her and I don’t know if I could fix it unless I knew what was wrong with her.

"Are you going to tell who exactly brought here or are you going to continue being a nace?" I asked unable to hold myself back this ti around.

"Oh co on Dahlia, I always thought you were smarter than this." Evie said as she smacked her lips, "But since I’m feeling so generous, I’ll give you a hint." She said as she leaned across the table.

I eyed her warily expecting the hint she was going to give and all she did was just stare at with a smirk on her face. Honestly, she was getting too dramatic for . I do not know where she got her dramatics from but it surely isn’t from or my mother. Maybe from my father, that evil old sadistic bastard!

"Well spit it out already will you?"

Rolling her eyes, Evie finally spoke. "Now who do you think hates you enough in this world to kill you?"

"What do you an who hates enough in this world to kill ?"

"What? You think you are everyone’s beloved sweetheart?"

I glared at her in response. "Well if you must know, I am the daughter of a fuckin tyrant king so everyone wants to kill and I’m pretty sure they would if they are given the chance!"

Evie rolled her eyes at , "Well of course they want to but they wouldn’t dare because they can’t get away with it. But guess who can? Soone who can kill you and wouldn’t bat an eye, wouldn’t even miss you?"

Honestly, I wish she would just spit the na out at this point because she was just saying whole bunch of gibberish. I have never been more curious about this in a very long ti. I was when I was first brought here, I had tried to figure out who might have want dead but after asking series of multiple questions and getting nothing in response, I stopped wondering.

But right now, I was really curious, though what Evie have been saying doesn’t make any sense. I have pissed off a lot of people just by being born and the only other person who hates my existence is...

"No!" I breathed out, my eyes widening in horror as I ca to a conclusion.

"That’s right, you my dear older sister pissed off daddy dearest."

"No!" I said not willing to believe it.

"Yeah, he wants you dead." Evie answered and she smiled as she said so, as if this was all a big joke to her.

I was starting to realize that she was more fucked up in the head than I thought she was because who finds this funny? My own father wanted dead!

Who kills their own daughter? I an sure I knew the old man never liked and there was also the fact that I threatened him but to really kill him?

"I guess you are now thinking that you shouldn’t have threatened to kill your father?"

I glared at her. "Well except that was all it was a threat."

"Really?" Evie narrowed her eyes at , "Because if mory serves correctly, I seem to rember you saying it isn’t a threat but a promise?"

"Okay, I was just so angry then!" I countered before shaking my head in disbelief, "But I didn’t think he was going to go through with the plan."

Evie shrugged before she leaned back in her seat. "Well guess you learned one valuable lesson from this, never threaten to kill your father!"

"Oh you can count on killing him now. After all he has done to and to you_"

"Oh please..." Evie laughed cutting off, "Let’s not make this about ."

"Yeah well except it is about you." I said before I leaned forward, "What did he do to you?"

The smile vanished from Evie’s face and she blinked looking away from . "Bold of you to assu he did anything to ."

"I know you Evie," I said as I reached forward to grab her hands but she withdrew them just before I could make contact, "Look I know you, this isn’t you."

"We barely know each other, so don’t sit there and talk like you’ve known my whole life when you’ve never been present for most of it." Evie said and although her face was blank but there was a hint of anger in her tone.

This was sign that I was starting to get through to her. It’s not the emotion I was expecting but anger was good, it shows that perhaps all wasn’t lost after all.

Heaving out a sigh, I adjusted myself on myself on my seat. "It wasn’t my fault Evie, you know how it is with our father_"

"Oh please," Evie scoffed at , "You were too busy playing the perfect princess, you were too busy playing the perfect princess that you couldn’t care to notice ."

"Okay that isn’t true."

Evie scoffed at in response, "Isn’t it? We walked by each other against halls, not even a ’hello’ or a ’hey’ from you. And yes, I understand that there protocols and all of that but the fact still remained you weren’t there. You had multiple tis to check in on , there were tis when father was away but you seed interested in taking dancing lessons and learning how to be the perfect lady to service your husband." She said before she leaned forward, her mouth curling up into a smirk and there was a malicious look in her gaze as she stared at . "Tell though, how’s that working out for ya? Heard he hates your guts and couldn’t stand touch you. Heck, the bravest knight in the kingdom looked so constipated during the wedding day, I didn’t even think it was possible."

My lips pressed into a thin line as I stared at her. I fisted my hands and placed them on my laps to stop myself from punching her on the face. This was supposed to be my bonding mont with her so I can’t afford to get angry now.

"That isn’t fair and you know it." I told her.

Evie doesn’t seem the least sorry about what she said. "Nothing in life is fair but at least, things turned out well for , can’t say the sa about you though."

"Okay, I have had enough of this!" I said as I leaned forward in my seat. "You can seat here and tell how it’s my fault and how my life is shit and all of that but the truth is sothing is wrong with you and you know it or you wouldn’t have wasted your ti saving my life and I am betting father doesn’t even know about this."

"You couldn’t be more wrong about that girl!"

A new voice said and my entire body beca rigid at the new voice that entered the room. I watched as my father ca into view and another wave of anger course through as I took in sight of his evil face. Evie bowed her head from where she was seated and then she stood aside as my father lowered himself into his seat.

"Good job Evie!" He said smiling at her and Evie puffed out her chest looking pleased with the praise. "It’s been a while daughter of mine!"

"You monster!"

"Oh don’t get emotional now baby, I let you live!"

"Wish I will be doing the sa for you when it’s your turn."

My father’s gaze turned cold as he glared at . "Okay fine, you are angry I understand that."

"Angry doesn’t cover it old man and I swear when I get out..."

My father released a gasp and it was all clear where Evie got her dramatic flair from. "You misunderstand darling daughter because what do you an when? You are never getting out and I thought I made it clear."

"He will co for you know?" I said and the smirk on my father’s face vanished, "Reagan, he will co for and I can’t wait to see the look on your face when he does. But don’t worry father, I will still make sure the last face you will be seeing is mine as I drive the dagger into your chest!"
