My eyelash fluttered open as I laid in complete darkness. It’s been a month and sixty two days since I’ve laid in darkness, a month and fifteen days and eighteen hours without no contact from the outside world, the only thing I have is my thought and even they started to leave alone slowly.

I do not know where I am, I do not know how I got here, I do not even know who took and what they want for . I assu they must want sothing because that must be the only reason they kept alive.

When I had first ca to it was to a bunch of healers who were busy trying to force dicine down my throat. At first I had thought it was poison so I had thrash against them, clawing and scratching while trying to knock whatever they were trying to feed away from their hands. It didn’t take long for them to be able to subdue , two firm hands held down while another yanked my head and pinched the bridge of my nose as they forced the bitter liquid down my throat.

That continued for a weak until I felt my strength returning and so I decided that I was going to escape. I had laid out the perfect plan. I assud they would underestimate since they didn’t know who I was, turns out I had underestimated them.

They always wore masks so I couldn’t see their faces but whoever they were, they were strong. They took down and when I showed no sign of going down without a fight, I felt them inject sothing inside of . Whatever it was made my movents sluggish and my tongue heavy, it immobilizes completely and makes feel sleepy.

That continued for two more days and at one point it felt like my whole body was paralyzed, that feeling was the worst so I accepted my fate. I stayed still in the darkness and the only way I could see the light was whenever they deliver food to through the small shutter on the iron door. That was all I could see and then it was darkness.

Staying in darkness was torture, the most cruel torture I have ever experienced I cried a few tis, cried till I felt I didn’t have it in to cry anymore and then the screaming began. I would wake up for no reason and start screaming but that wasn’t the worst of them all.

Hallucinations!

That was the worst part, starting to see things that weren’t there. At first I started seeing father who threw insults at , then my mother who was begging to end it all and next thing I heard was the sound of a baby crying in the darkness.

I had looked around wildly trying to find the location of the sound but I couldn’t see and I kept tripping on my feet. In the end I gave up but the crying didn’t stop. It continued, more persistent in its shrill loud noise till I laid down curling into a ball on the cold stone floor.

I was going to die here, no! I was actually certain that I did die. I could rember the intense pain in my abdon and my shoulder blades and then the cold afterwards. So maybe I did die and this place was hell, penance for everything my father had done and penance for disobeying my parents which was also considered a great sin and it doesn’t matter how many good deed you did, it was still a sin in the eyes of the gods.

Ironic how I was the one who had to die first and the old bastard has to leave the rest of his life torturing innocent people!

It was mont like this that made question the gods judgnt. Their heads must have been so far up in the clouds they can’t tell what’s right and wrong!

I was still questioning the uncertainty of it all when all of a sudden, the door suddenly opened and I saw so figures enter the room. They were each carrying lamps which they hung on the wall and all at once they turned to look at .

I didn’t have the energy for a fight anymore so I just pushed myself into a sitting position to stare at them. They must have had plans for because they suddenly stepped forward and grabbed roughly by the arm. I didn’t fight them and allowed them to drag towards the entrance.

It looks like we were going outside today! I thought to myself feeling the tiniest bit of excitent flutter inside of as I was dragged outside.

The first thing that I noticed was the snow that blanketed the whole ground and the chill that ca with it.

We were in winter already! I thought as I was dragged with my feet digging into the snow. I guess I was going to be saying hello to frostbite soon!

My captors continue to drag till I was sure that I couldn’t feel my legs anymore. Then eventually they led towards a house with long corridors and flickering torches on the wall that cast long shadows of my captors with their masks, making them seem inhumane.

I said nothing as they led towards a huge door and then eventually we stopped in front of a big door which they opened. They dragged toward a chair and dumped on it unceremoniously. I groaned as I adjust myself on the seat, but my feet were cold.

Guess the frostbite has decided to show itself! I was cold all over and my toes felt like it was going to fall of any mont from now. I decided to cross them on each other so they could be warm. Swallowing, I gazed around the place I was which looked like an office and it was then I saw the hooded figure standing in a corner.

Squinting, I sat up straight as I stared at the figure who didn’t say anything and I didn’t have any strength left in to regard him. The figure must have gotten tired of the silence because it whirled around to look at .

It still didn’t say anything, just continued to stare at . I couldn’t be bothered to start a conversation. I’ve learned that no matter how many questions I asked, I was always t with silence. They can speak to whenever they are ready, although I can’t help but think this one was a little dramatic.

It can stand there and not say anything all day, I for one I’m just glad to be outside in the open, even though it was only going to be for a short ti!

The figure slowly raised his hands up and took off the hood he was wearing finally revealing a face. Except it wasn’t a man like I had assud.

"YOU!" I wanted to snarl but it ended up coming out on a breathy whisper.

"Hello sister!" Evie said as she went to go and sit down on the chair in front of .

I leaned forward to stare at her in disbelief. "It was you? You did this?" I asked her.

Evie shrugged at , "I figured it was high ti you and had a proper conversation." She responded in a nonchalant manner, "Besides, I saved your life!"

"Saved my life?" I asked my voice filled with disbelief and just like that the anger that I thought had vanished within was back in full force.

I lunged forward my hand reaching out to grab her but I was suddenly restrained and I looked down to see that I had been shackled to the damn chair. I had been so out of it that I had not noticed when I had been chained down to the chair.

They must have deed that I was still a threat even though I hadn’t resisted! It was good reason they shackled too because I would have loved to have a go at my sister. I an she was the reason for my misery?

"Easy there Dahlia, you might hurt yourself." Evie responded with a smirk.

With a huff I sat down back in my seat while yanking the chains, "Oh now I’m supposed to believe you care?"

"Considering the fact I just risked my life to call doctors to save you, then yes!" Evie snapped at , "You owe !"

"Why then why don’t you release so I can show you my deep and utter gratitude?"

"I’m seventeen, not stupid!"

I snorted in disbelief, "Could have fooled !" I said as I slumped in my seat while eyeing her, "You did this?"

"I may not like you but that doesn’t an I want to kill you."

"Your eyes said sothing different the other ti." I spoke referring to the last ti I saw her.

Evie’s lip curled into a smirk, "Well we both have duties to do." She said but there was sothing in her gaze, "Besides I could have killed you easily without the help of any draumheimier scum!"

"Yeah, wouldn’t be so sure about that." I muttered under my breath but Evie heard it because she narrowed her gaze at , "Well then if it’s not you, then who?"

Leaning back in her chair, Evie smirked at . "Wouldn’t you like to know?"
