Chapter 394: Instinct To Devour.

But no matter explanations he said or how many reasonable points he made when he said them, Fenrir didn’t seem to be listening. All Fenrir wanted was to devour that golden star.

However, after a while, he created enough distance between himself and the ground for Fenrir to forget about its cravings. So he was able to continue his escape in peace.

But just because Fenrir had forgotten didn’t an that he had also forgotten. Just like he didn’t forget the fear he felt when that ntal World surged towards him, he also didn’t forget the intense craving for power that he felt when he saw that golden star.

It is just that he is more reasonable than Fenrir, so even though he didn’t forget his craving for the golden star, he didn’t let this temptation override his reason. So Fenrir is akin to his basal instinct, and it can’t cloud his judgnt because he has sufficient restraint.

However, his restraint is only for the anti. Sothing is likely to change in the future to make his restraint unnecessary.

As he thought back to that golden star, he had a look of longing on his face. Then he thought to himself, saying, ’I don’t know when, but I’ll be back.’

According to his estimates, he must have a ntal World, and the ntal World should be solid if he hopes to contend with Slav’s ntal World.

This was what he was thinking about as he rose higher and higher into the sky. Fenrir had forgotten about it, but he just couldn’t forget about it. He kept replaying that encounter again and again in his mind.

The more he thought about the brief fight, the more he ca to the sa conclusion. He would nod and say, ’Yes, I have to be a divine being at least to match that ntal World. I know for sure that a rank 5 cultivator can’t possibly match that ntal World.’

The main source of his fear for Slav is the ntal World, not Slav’s power. In fact, that ntal World looked too physical to be a ntal construct to him.

He has experienced the ntal World of a rank 5 being with a Dao Heart of level 6, and that ntal World couldn’t compare at all with what he saw Slav carrying around.

The ntal World felt solid and might as well be a real world. So it felt as if he was about to be hit by a mountain when it ca rushing at him.

As the mory of that event flashed through his mind, he chuckled and said, ’If I couldn’t take on that hamr from the sky, I surely can’t take on that ntal World. So let’s set a small goal first.’

’If I can take on that hamr from the sky without being pulverized, I can consider myself halfway ready to collide with what appears to be an entire world.’

Down below, Slav didn’t know that he existed at all. Slav only felt that sothing bad was about to happen to him. This frustrated him because there was nothing he could do about it.

He was still within his cave heaven and hadn’t gone out yet. In fact, he just recovered the mories of his past and hadn’t had ti to do anything. But for so reason, the expression on his face wasn’t good at all.

He was looking at the top of his head. In his vision, there was a golden cloud of luck on his head. The golden cloud was bright and shiny, but there was a small speck of darkness on the cloud. This speck of darkness should be insignificant, but it is growing a little bit at a ti, so he has to take it seriously.

When he felt the bad luck clinging to his fate and growing every mont, he gritted his teeth and said, "What kind of life is this? I know I have bad luck. I know that I have to deal with it. I know that if I don’t deal with it, it will only continue to get worse. Yet I can’t do anything about it, or I will encounter more bad luck."

"Who can live like this? It would have been better if I were ignorant and didn’t know about the impending doom."

He has sensed that there is a potential threat to him in existence, and that threat will only continue to grow stronger as ti passes. So the smart thing to do now is to act to eliminate that threat.

He knows this, and he also has the ans to deal with the threat. He can just use his Life Ability, a Divine tac called The Butterfly Effect tac.

With this Life Ability, he won’t even have to make a direct move to eliminate the threat. He can just kick a pebble on the road, and the world will find a way to eliminate the threat to him.

So he has the knowledge, possesses the ans, and the ans are easy to execute. But he can’t execute this plan because once he does, soone will appear to capture him. And this person that will appear is not soone that his current self can contend with at all.

This made him frustrated for a long ti, so he cursed and raged so more. Eventually, he had to move on with his life. After all, there was nothing he could do about his current situation.

He could only sigh and say, "Being the loser isn’t good at all. I can only take things one step at a ti, starting with becoming a divine being."

He thought more about his plans before he left the cave heaven and appeared in the tunnel. Then he left the tunnel system to pursue his dreams.

As soone who used to be a rank 9 Dao Lord, it should be easy for him to beco a divine being. In fact, he has everything he needs to beco a divine being on the spot.
