Chapter 393: Power Handicap.
Slav saw that he had escaped, so he shook his head in bitterness and said, "I was too hesitant. But who can bla ? I had to be hesitant."
He knew why the Supre tac hadn’t activated earlier, and he knew that it was intentional on his side. He hadn’t activated it earlier in order to remain incognito and because he never expected that he would need it.
He had expected the Rewind tac to freeze in front of him and let his ntal World grab it after he used his ntal World to simulate the suppression of a higher Dao Status of the Ti Pathway on it.
But what he did, didn’t work because the Rewind tac he knew wasn’t the sa Rewind tac that he encountered. This Rewind tac was vastly different from what he knew and was familiar with, so it didn’t freeze in front of him.
This forced him to finally activate the Supre tac. But it still didn’t work because this Rewind tac possessed far more energy and power than a single Divine tac activated without the support of one’s existence and energy well should have.
As he thought of this, he shook his head and said, "It is not even the Rewind tac anymore. It is just sothing that is behaving like the Rewind tac. I wonder what it is."
Just as he was wondering what Fenrir really is, a large, colossal hand broke through the sky and descended to the earth to grab him.
He wasn’t surprised to see this. After all, it is the main reason he didn’t want to activate his Supre tac. So it is sothing he expected to happen.
When he had decided to activate his Supre tac, he knew that this was most likely to happen. But he had also expected to be able to retrieve the Rewind tac, which would have been worth it. This was why he chose to gamble despite knowing the consequences.
Now that things had reached this point, he could only sigh and say, "My gamble failed. I guess this is why he is my source of bad, too."
As for Loki, he was swimming through the River of Ti. Even though he didn’t have a heart, he seed to feel his non-existent heart pounding in fear.
For a long while, he couldn’t put his thoughts and fears into words. He only knew that the situation was so bad that he had nearly died and would have died forever if he had died.
He was still feeling this imnse fear and shock when Fenrir dropped back into the physical world. This ti, Fenrir stopped moving because it ran out of energy, not because it had reached the end of the road.
Apparently, Fenrir had burned through most of its energy store to escape the golden light. So even though the end of the road, which is the mont he awakened, is supposed to be a day away, Fenrir still couldn’t make it that far before becoming tired.
When the Fenrir of the future fused with the Fenrir of the past and his two consciousnesses fused into one, he found himself in front of a hole in the wall of a cave and with three stones nearby.
He was just observing the three stones and the hole in the cave that Slav and Skarg had just entered. He had rubbed his chin and said, "I wonder what they are here for. Do they have private property here, or are they just looking for sothing?"
In the previous tiline, he had decided to enter the tunnel. But this ti around, he turned around to run without hesitation.
He didn’t look back at all. He ran as if his life depended on how fast he could run, and he didn’t stop for anything.
When he left the canyon in the ground, he rose into the air and flew directly upwards to the sky. His goal was to reach the heavenly city.
He didn’t seem to care that he had ordered a bunch of stuff that was to be delivered to Crystal City. Right now, his only thought was to reach sowhere Slav would be easily suppressed if the reincarnation dared to make a move against him.
What left him shaken the most was how Fenrir was cracking when that golden light had fallen on it. This was despite the fact that Fenrir had produced more than the golden light was using to slow him down.
It was as if the effect of the golden light wasn’t only to slow him down, but that its more hidden effect was unaffected by his resistance. So if he had delayed and that hidden effect had succeeded, sothing would have gone terribly wrong.
As he thought about it, he said to himself, ’Fenrir was literally breaking apart. One more second there, and Fenrir would be gone. What kind of power is that?"
He didn’t know what kind of power it was. He only knew that he didn’t want to encounter it anyti soon. No matter how Fenrir growled and expressed hunger for the golden star, he refused to go back there to test fate.
His eyes lit up when his thoughts reached this point. He said, "Exactly. That’s exactly what it felt like. It was as if I were testing fate. But fate was already biased against , so I was bound to lose if I had let the test continue."
He is still shaken, but Fenrir only cares about food. It has healed completely now after fusing with its past version, so it couldn’t rember that it was on the brink of destruction just a few seconds ago.
It was as if they didn’t just experience the sa dangerous and risky experience. Only Loki seed to rember that terrifying golden star.
As he thought of that brief fight, where all he did was run away and still nearly failed to run away, he said, "And that’s without having any contact with that ntal World. If that ntal World had caught up to , I would surely be screwed."
