Systema Delenda Est was pretty fun for . I've always wanted to do sothing with the ideas for posthuman, postbiological societies and technologies I've had knocking around in my head, and I've been chewing on a destroying-the-system style story for years. Patrons of mine might rember the very first pass at such a story opening, back during Blue Core.
Thing is, it got really big. I knew it would in the abstract, of course, but trying to convey that things were happening over hundreds of thousands of planets is not easy. Not sure how well I conveyed the scope in the end, though the various incarnations of Cato and the sisters helped compromise between known characters and zillions of people we'd have t only in passing. Still, I'm pretty satisfied with the story beats for our principal characters, especially Dyen.
My next story will be Objects in Motion, a street-level superhero story with a bit of progression, because I seem constitutionally incapable of sticking to a the. The basic idea for that was "give a thinker type person a brawler type power." In complete contrast with SDE, OIM is mostly going to focus on one guy and one city. While the original plan was a little bit paranoid-mage-ish, the protagonist is a bit less set in his ways so it's got a different flavor.

I know that's going to disappoint so people, but do not fret. The entire scope of OIM is planned out and will be three books, after which I will be diving into big things again with Leviathan. OIM has started over on Patreon, but it'll still be a couple months before it shows up on RR.
(Related: I'm looking to do comic book style covers for the OIM books. Anyone have any suggestions for artists?)
I'll see you all in a few months when OIM drops, and I hope you'll give it a shot! In the anti, if you have any questions about SDE, I'll try and answer them here.
As always, thank you all for reading!
