"Damn it, that little brat thinks he can be this arrogant just because he’s my grandson? Once this is over, if he doesn’t make the top ten, I’m sending him to the Sky Demon Domain to suffer for ten thousand years!"

"Exactly! A bunch of punks who don't know the height of the heavens or the depth of the earth!"

"If God-Emperor Extinction finds out that’s my great-grandson, he’ll probably kill !"

...

At this mont, the God-Emperors backing these geniuses all lost their nerve without exception.

For countless years, God-Emperor Extinction had stood guard beside his ntor, The Destroyer Supre. No one knew their location except for the Supre Divinities. However, whenever God-Emperor Extinction appeared, it was a cataclysmic event that shook the entire universe.

Now, a few unweaned brats were actually questioning God-Emperor Extinction’s rules. They were practically begging for death.

Fortunately, God-Emperor Extinction didn't lose his temper. He rely spared a cold, indifferent glance at the shouting geniuses.

Though their clamor was limited to a small area, he still spoke.

"Regarding the matter of weapons: The Universal Genius Competition selects talent, not whoever has the strongest backing. Once you beco a top-tier genius, no one’s background will be weak. If anyone still has an objection, you can withdraw imdiately. This is also Rule Four: The Virtual Universe. No one will die in any trial, and you can forfeit at any ti."

God-Emperor Extinction’s calm words instantly silenced the geniuses.

They had only been complaining; they never expected a God-Emperor to actually respond to them. Those who had assud the God-Emperor couldn't hear them were now completely terrified.

"Since the rules are understood, let us speak of the first trial."

Seeing that no one else dared to speak, God-Emperor Extinction continued slowly.

Hum—!

Just as everyone waited for him to explain, an invisible force instantly enveloped every person present. In the next mont, every living being from across the universe was teleported away.

Lance was no exception.

When he reappeared, he found himself in a private, isolated space. Fourteen massive maps floated before his eyes.

The first ten maps were all vast Great Emperor Landmasses. According to the nurical displays, each of these landmasses was infinite in size. Starting from the eleventh map, the setting shifted to the starry sky. Every map thereafter was a cosmic expanse, and the starfields were naturally infinite as well.

Suspended above each map were various cultivation realms, ranging from Commoners to Bronze Tier, Houtian, Innate Rank, and all the way up to the Immortal Grade.

Evidently, these were the trial grounds for different levels.

At that mont, everyone noticed that the maps for levels lower than their own were dark. Only the maps matching their current rank or higher were lit and available for selection.

"Everyone may now choose the difficulty level of their trial grounds. Once you have made your choice, the specific rules will be revealed."

God-Emperor Extinction’s voice echoed in everyone’s minds.

Upon hearing this, the high-level civilizations across the universe quickly clicked their chosen maps. However, people from lower civilizations were still hesitating. As for the beasts and primitives with low intelligence, they either stood there in a daze or clicked around aimlessly.

Lance chose the Universal Class trial grounds without hesitation.

A trial of this level wasn't particularly difficult for him given his current strength. What he truly cared about was whether he could reap significant benefits from this trial. After all, he had originally planned to find a "thick leg" to cling to, but now that his bloodline power was fully awakened to its limit, he had abandoned that idea.

He planned to go solo. Only power that belonged to him was true power.

Warning! You have selected a trial two ranks higher than your current level. Do you wish to confirm? Once selected, you may only increase the trial difficulty; you cannot lower it.

As soon as Lance made his selection, a cold, chanical voice echoed in his mind.

"Confirm."

Lance didn't hesitate for a second.

Confird. Trial Grounds: Universal Class. Beginning teleportation!

Hum—!

In the next instant, Lance vanished from the spot.

...

In the midst of a boundless Star Sector, space fluctuated as Lance’s figure abruptly materialized.

Erging into the void, Lance scanned his surroundings. This Star Sector was fundantally different from a standard galaxy. In the space of the real world, planets were separated by staggering distances unless they belonged to the sa star system.

But here, it was different.

Planets hung quietly in the void, packed densely together. Within a single light-year, there were millions of planets of various sizes. The smallest were only the size of a Mother Planet, while the largest had diaters spanning hundreds of millions of kiloters.

In comparison, the Sol System also had a diater of roughly one light-year, but it only contained about a dozen major celestial bodies. The Sol System was empty and desolate; here, despite having millions of planets every light-year, the space didn't feel overly crowded.

Rule Introduction: Every participant who chooses this trial ground will be assigned to this sector of the universe. Simultaneously, various Secret Realms of different grades will appear on the surrounding planets and within the starry void.

Participants must locate these Secret Realms and pass their trials to obtain Legacy Tokens. Each Legacy Token grants a corresponding number of points.

Rank 10 Legacy Tokens: Low-Grade (1 point), Mid-Grade (10 points), High-Grade (100 points), Peak-Grade (1,000 points).

Rank 11 Legacy Tokens: Low-Grade (10,000 points), Mid-Grade (100,000 points), and so on.

Final rankings will be based on points. Only the top 100 quintillion participants will advance to the second trial.

Upon death, all obtained Legacy Tokens will drop. The person who loots them will receive the corresponding points.

The rules were simple, but the final condition for passing was horrifyingly steep.

Only the top 100 quintillion could enter the second round? That was a joke. In the entire universe, the number of Divine Kingdoms alone exceeded 100 quintillion, to say nothing of the sheer count of Universal Class experts.

By this calculation, unless sothing extraordinary happened, only a handful of people—perhaps even none—within the borders of a single Divine Kingdom would pass the trial.

And this was only the first round.

"Interesting. This first trial isn't just a test of strength, but luck as well. My strength is certainly at the top tier, but I wonder how my luck will hold up."

Lance’s eyes flickered. He imdiately released his Divine Sense.

Boom!

In an instant, Lance’s Divine Sense flooded out like a massive tidal wave, expanding rapidly in all directions. He could clearly perceive everything within the millions of planets spanning several light-years.

"Oh? There really are Secret Realms here."

Lance’s eyes lit up. Within his range, he had not only discovered dozens of Universal Class experts but had also stumbled upon two Secret Realms.

"This Secret Realm’s energy signature is weak. Probably nothing but junk inside."

Lance frowned, but he didn't linger on the thought. With a light tap of his foot, he shot toward the nearest Secret Realm.

He arrived at the periter in an instant.

It was a desolate stretch of space, devoid of stars or debris. However, possessing two types of Spatial Affinity, Lance could clearly sense a hidden pocket of space lurking here.

This was the Secret Realm. Even if one's power exceeded the realm's level, detecting it required extraordinary perception. That perception ca down to having a powerful Soul or an acute sensitivity to energy.

Lance possessed both, yet even then, miscalculations or oversights were possible. Fortunately, his Space Power allowed him to pinpoint hidden dinsions directly, making such errors impossible.

"Open!"

Lance didn't hesitate, lashing out with a palm strike toward the void. A mont later, a terrifying surge of energy coalesced into a massive Great Dark Handprint.

Rumble!

With an earth-shattering roar, the handprint slamd violently into the empty space. In an instant, Lance’s brute force shattered the hidden Secret Realm. A spatial rift spanning hundreds of millions of kiloters tore open before him.

Inside the shattered Secret Realm, the fragnted remains of a Great Emperor vessel appeared.

Ripping through space was sothing the current Lance shouldn't be capable of. Even a first-tier spatial rift required a God-King Class powerhouse to breach. However, these Secret Realms were different.

These spatial pockets were essentially like Subspace Rings, crafted by Array Masters and Subspace Engineers. They were known as Secret Realm Orbs—items that could be carried anywhere but, once triggered, expanded into a permanent Secret Realm. Once deployed, they were fixed in place.

The lowest grade for a Secret Realm Orb was Tier 8, costing a fortune that only those in the Galactic Realm could afford. This was why any inheritance found within was guaranteed to be at least at the Galactic Realm level. Furthermore, because they couldn't be moved once opened, even a Tier 8 orb created a space ten thousand kiloters in diater—more than enough to house the legacy of a Galactic Realm expert.

Of course, being man-made constructs, their spatial stability was quite fragile—even weaker than a Subspace Ring of the sa tier. Almost any expert of the sa level could easily shatter them to claim the treasures within.

Seeing the fractured structure, Lance didn't hesitate. He reached out and clenched his fist toward the void.

Creeeeak!

With a violent wrenching motion, Lance hauled a massive Tier 10 Starship out from the crumbling remains of the Great Emperor vessel. The entire structure disintegrated imdiately. Lance tore through the hull of the world-ship, eventually uncovering a longsword radiating a brilliant white light.

[System: Congratulations! You have obtained a Tier 10 Mid-Grade Legacy Token. You have gained 10 points!]

Hum!

As the notification faded, the longsword dissolved into a streak of light and flowed into Lance’s body.

"Only ten points? What a waste of ti."

Lance was thoroughly unimpressed. He imdiately abandoned any plans to check the other nearby Secret Realms. He estimated that the three remaining realms were roughly the sa size as this one, aning their grades were likely identical. Even if they were slightly higher, it wasn't worth the effort.

"Let's look elsewhere."

Lance's eyes flickered as his Teleportation Force surged.

Flash!

He vanished instantly, reappearing a full light-year away. He began a series of rapid-fire Instantaneous Teleportations through the Star Sector. Each jump covered a light-year. With his Divine Sense spanning several light-years, he could scan everything in his vicinity the mont he arrived. At a rate of hundreds of teleports per second, he could effectively survey everything within a hundred light-year radius in a heartbeat. If a Secret Realm existed, it couldn't hide from him.

This efficiency was tens of thousands of tis greater than that of any ordinary Universal Realm expert.

"Hm?"

After scouring a range of over a thousand light-years, Lance finally ca to a halt.

"Finally, sothing worth my while."

A smile played on his lips as his consciousness locked onto a Secret Realm spanning a staggering one hundred billion kiloters in diater. This was identical in size to the Secret Realm of The Dark Exalt he had encountered before!

This ant the level of this Secret Realm was undoubtedly at the Domain Lord Class, High-Grade or even Peak-Grade.

Lance’s lips curled into a smirk. He thrust a palm toward the Secret Realm's entrance. Destruction Power erupted as a colossal Destruction Handprint slamd into the threshold.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the entrance to the Secret Realm shattered into a million shimring fragnts.

Hum!

Suddenly, a blinding radiance erupted from the center of the formation. Dozens of light pillars shot out in every direction, instantly sealing off the exit. The sheer power radiating from these pillars was enough to obliterate anyone below the Domain Lord Class Tenth Stratum. They soared upwards, reaching a height of ten light-years in a single breath.

Cultivators within a radius of tens of thousands of light-years saw the beams piercing the void.

"Damn... light pillars ten light-years high? That has to be a Peak Domain Lord Secret Realm!"

"A Peak Domain Lord Secret Realm is bound to have World Lord Class Legacy Artifacts and plenty of low-tier Domain Lord ones. Scoring even one Domain Lord Class Legacy Artifact would put anyone ahead of the pack!"

"Exactly! If soone bags the main Peak Domain Lord Legacy Artifact, they'll get ten million points instantly. That’s basically a guaranteed spot in the second round!"
