Physical Combat Power: Domain Lord Realm, Sixth Stratum

Ultimate Combat Power: Realm Lord Realm, Third Stratum

After a full day and night of intense cultivation, Lance’s realm had undergone a massive transformation.

At the sa ti, his ultimate combat power had skyrocketed, reaching the terrifying heights of the Realm Lord Realm. Even his pure physical combat power had climbed to the Sixth Stratum of the Domain Lord Realm.

While his ability to skip ranks still spanned roughly three major realms and a few minor strata, the nature of that power had fundantally shifted. Once a cultivator reached the Domain Lord Class, almost everyone utilized Tier 11 techniques and martial skills. As the quality of these techniques leveled out, the difficulty of bridging the gap between realms exploded.

Lance had managed to secure a hoard of Tier 15 techniques and skills, but his future opponents’ strength would grow just as sharply.

Fortunately, this breakthrough had granted him the Tier 6 Power of Genesis. This alone widened the gap between Lance’s physical strength and his Divine Soul combat power by nearly a full major realm.

Previously, his physical body had been on the verge of catching up to his soul's power. Without the intervention of the Power of Genesis, even with these new high-level techniques, his ultimate combat power likely would have stagnated around the Seventh or Eighth Stratum of the Domain Lord Realm.

As he faced stronger opponents in the future, he knew the gap would close. Their innate talents were higher, and their rank-skipping abilities were more refined. By the ti he reached the God-King and Immortal Realms, every enemy he encountered would be a forr rank-one legend on the leaderboards—monsters and geniuses that appeared only once in billions or trillions of years. At that level, even Lance would struggle to skip more than a single major realm.

"Realm Lord combat power is a good start. From here on out, every major realm I climb will probably only boost my actual combat strength by five or six minor strata," Lance mused, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "But then again, forget my peers—even the greatest geniuses in the universe who are a full major realm and a half above wouldn't be able to take down."

BONG—!!!

Suddenly, a thunderous chi echoed across the sky, vibrating through the heavens and the earth. As the sound rang out, the cacophony of the crowded square instantly died down into a heavy silence.

RUMBLE!

A split second later, a suffocating aura erupted like a tidal wave, sweeping across the area in every direction. The presence was saturated with the aura of pure Destruction, and it caused the faces of countless galactic experts to turn deathly pale.

The experts at the peak of the Immortal Grade recoiled, their expressions shifting as they instantly recognized the source of this overwhelming pressure.

"God-Emperor Extinction? That monster actually showed up!?" one of them gasped, sucking in a sharp breath.

"I heard he was going to be the chief examiner, but I didn't think it was actually true!"

"Those fanatics from the Destruction Lineage rarely show their faces. Why the hell are they getting involved in the Universal Genius Competition now?"

"Who knows? Why worry about it? Just focus on the trials. If we catch the eye of the Supre Divinities, we might actually break into the Immortal Class ourselves one day."

"And what if you do? You think you'll ever be as strong as God-Emperor Extinction? Rumor has it he once rampaged through the Sky Demon Domain alone and slaughtered dozens of Immortal Class Sky Demons. He even drew out the Celestial Fiends' absolute strongest—and sohow, he walked away alive. That's a level of power most ordinary Supre Divinities can't even touch!"

"Quiet! Shut up and listen. The rules for the Genius Trials are about to be announced."

The Immortal Grade experts felt their hearts hamring against their ribs. After a brief, frantic exchange, they fell silent, terrified of drawing the examiner's ire.

Destruction Power?

Lance sensed the familiar frequency of Destruction imdiately. He was surprised to find that an examiner possessed such a high-level mastery of the elent, but he didn't dwell on it. Destruction was, after all, a premier elent. It stood to reason that soone wielding it would be a powerhouse even among the Immortal Class. He was more than qualified to oversee this event.

HUM—!

Finally, the oppressive aura of Destruction began to recede, slowly thinning out over the square. In its wake, a massive dharma manifestation—a titanic Law Image that seed to pierce the very heavens—slowly materialized in the sky above the gathered crowd.

Across the vast expanse of the cosmos, every living soul—from the mightiest powerhouses to the lowliest commoners, from the feral Void Beasts to the most primitive animals—turned their gaze toward the heavens.

There, the icy visage of a powerhouse from the Desolates began to manifest. His Dharma projection slowly materialized against the backdrop of the stars, growing to a size that defied all reason. Even Lance found himself gripped by shock as he realized the avatar spanned at least a trillion light-years.

A trillion light-years... the sheer scale was staggering. At that size, the re act of manifesting would be enough to grind an entire Star Realm to dust. Such a titanic presence ensured that every being in existence could see the face of the presiding examiner with crystal clarity.

"It’s really him!"

The realization rippled through the ranks of the Immortal Grade experts, many of whom found themselves swallowing hard in trepidation.

"Beings of the universe! I, God-Emperor Extinction, shall preside over the 10081st Universal Genius Competition!"

The voice of God-Emperor Extinction bood through the sky. Every syllable was saturated with an overwhelming pressure that vibrated within the minds of all living things.

"I will now explain the rules of the Universal Genius Competition!

Rule One: Each cultivation realm will have its own independent examination hall. However, participants may choose to compete in a hall corresponding to their own rank or any rank above it! The difficulty increases with each tier, but those who choose to challenge a higher rank will have their final rewards multiplied by a factor of one hundred million!"

As God-Emperor Extinction laid out the first rule, the veteran God-King and Immortal Grade experts who had survived previous competitions were left stunned.

Why even ntion the first rule? Did he truly expect anyone to choose a higher-level hall?

Even if soone did, it would surely be so arrogant fool from a low-level civilization who didn't know their place. Such a person would never place in the rankings. In fact, even the greatest genius in the universe wouldn't stand a chance if they jumped a whole realm.

It was a ridiculous notion. This was a Universal Class-level evaluation. Even the top-ranked prodigies on the Leaderboards of the Supre God-Realms could usually only bridge a gap of ten or so minor stages. Jumping an entire major realm? That would require bridging over twenty minor stages.

While such a feat might be possible at the Innate or Grandmaster ranks—where monsters often suppressed opponents twenty or even thirty stages above them—this was different. At the Universal Class level, not even a once-in-a-trillion-years prodigy could fight across a major realm.

They didn't know, however, that as God-Emperor Extinction spoke, his eyes were fixed on a single point: Lance’s location. That specific rule had been voiced for Lance’s ears alone. In the entire universe, only Lance possessed the raw talent and strength to even consider such a challenge.

"Can I jump two major realms in the Virtual Universe? What would the rewards be for the top ranks?" Lance asked, his curiosity piqued.

Had anyone else heard him, they would have dismissed him as a delusional brat from a backwater planet. Jumping one realm was considered impossible, yet he was asking about two?

"It is possible. Jumping two major realms would grant a reward multiplier of at least one hundred quadrillion," the Virtual Universe replied. "However, if I may be blunt, no one can successfully complete an exam two realms above their own. While you are capable of fighting across two realms, the competition is a different beast entirely. Even with your talent, jumping just one major realm would likely only land you around the top one hundred million. Granted, the hundred-million-fold multiplier would still make that reward more valuable than the first-place prize for your own rank."

The system was clearly trying to steer Lance away from such a suicidal idea.

"Oh? A hundred quadrillion?" Lance’s lips curled into a slight smirk. "Not bad. So jumping three realms would be a sextillion-fold increase?"

He wasn't arrogant enough to think he could take first place while jumping three major realms. At that level, his opponents would be peak Domain Lord Class experts. The top hundred million geniuses at the peak of the Domain Lord Realm were essentially all at the Ninth or even Tenth Stratum of the Realm Lord level.

Currently, that was beyond him. Even if he pushed his Galactic Realm cultivation to its absolute limit, his combat power would likely only peak at the fourth level of the Realm Lord stage. Defeating soone at the Ninth or Tenth Stratum was a mathematical impossibility for now.

"Can I upgrade my exam hall mid-way through?" Lance asked.

"Yes," the Virtual Universe confird. "However, after upgrading, you must defeat the person who was most recently eliminated from the bottom of those rankings to inherit their position. If you fail, all your accumulated rewards will be forfeited."

"Then let’s start with two major realms," Lance’s eyes glead. With his current strength, there was no need to hide. It wasn't like he could die here anyway. "If I see so improvent, I might try for three later."

The Virtual Universe went silent. It had spent the last few minutes warning him, and it seed Lance hadn't listened to a single word.

"Rule Two!" God-Emperor Extinction’s voice thundered again.

"The Genius Trials will consist of three phases. The details of the second phase will be announced after the first is complete. Once the second phase ends, the top one hundred million participants from each realm will proceed to the third and final stage! The third stage will determine the final rankings for that top one hundred million!"

A heavy atmosphere settled over the crowd. Only a hundred million survivors for the entire second phase?

To a layman, a hundred million sounded like a massive number, but this was a universal competition. To make that cut, one had to be among the top one hundred thousand geniuses of an entire Supre God-Realm. Even those ranked in the top ten thousand of their respective Powerhouse Rankings weren't guaranteed a spot in the final Leaderboards if things took an unexpected turn.

"Rule Three: During the trials, you are strictly forbidden from using any weapons or equipnt that exceed your current cultivation rank!"

This rule imdiately sparked a wave of hushed, indignant complaints among the pampered geniuses from high-level civilizations.

"Why can’t we use high-level gear? Being able to wield those weapons is a testant to our strength!" one grumbled.

"Exactly! Equipnt is part of a warrior’s power. Why ban it?"

Many of these prodigies, though unaware of God-Emperor Extinction’s true identity, assud that since they had God-Emperors backing them, the examiner wouldn't dare take offense at their complaints.

However, their bravado caused the Immortal Class powerhouses and God-Emperors watching the live broadcast to turn deathly pale.
