1 week later...
After the confirmation that his status can go up, Evan had began his make-shift training.
Because his Intelligence went up by 1 from his idea, he figured that he might be in the right track on his current plans.
He finished his routine every single day, and when he does, he began his strength and agility training, in a form of practicing with a sword. He found a book the explains sword fighting and he figured that it could be a good exercise for himself to do.
Evan did not have a sword, but he did have so sticks. Not to ntion that there are a bunch of trees around. He would go a little closer to the forest and find the biggest tree, near the clearing but before the stone hill cave, then use that as a big target.
Once he gets tired, he would attempt to ditate. He’s not sure if that would help, but he knew that it serves as a great use to recharge his usage for the Simulation Zone.
There was no way that he would just ignore practicing the Simulation Zone when he can. He couldn’t call it forth with Iva, he thinks it’s maybe a one ti thing. Even if that’s the case, it is more understandable to go about it this way.
And if it’s not a permanent input, he’ll find out a way how to change it.
Today, Evan found himself back in the library. This is his third ti visiting, and he went back here to return back his third set of three books he had borrowed.
He politely placed the books on the side, had his ID scanned and after that, he is back upstairs to look for more books to borrow. He’s not sure if it will be faster to raise his Intelligence status if he continued to read, but he is going to continue trying.
He is humming a tune, scanning the books from the shelves when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he noticed that it is one of the other person he frequents the library. He’s not sure of her age, but she’s maybe around Evan’s age.
"This is your third visit." She says. "Do you need any specific books? I can help you."
Evan stared at her. She’s a little taller than him, but she didn’t look any different. She’s wearing a floral shirt and a plain skirt, a small, sling bag across her torso.
He raised an eyebrow at him. "Do I know you?" He asked, taking a small step back.
She shook his head. "No, but you look younger than and you might need help. Clara. Clara, Grey, by the way." She offered her hand. "What’s your na?"
He takes her hand. "Evan Rotewed. Nice to et you." He gives her a small nod. He turns to the shelf after taking his hand back. "I’m mostly looking for fiction books about gas.
"Huh?" Clara reacts. "Why would you need fiction books about that? You can just borrow the library’s computers and play gas there instead. So kids do that, you know."
Evan sighs. "I have my reasons. And you have Mrs. Grey’s last na. Are you family?"
Clara nods her head. "Mhm. I’m not a direct one, but I’m one of her granddaughters. I’m here to help out since people frequent this place during this ti of the year."
She skimd through so of the books that Evan is looking through. She picked up so books that was similar to what Evan was looking for. "Have you gotten this or this?" She asked, showing two different books from either hand.
Evan looks at them. "Yeah, I borrowed that one." He looks at the other book and sighs. "That one... Is a disappointnt. It’s not really about gas. They’re just making it seem that way."
Clara hums. "I see. Well, you can check that shelf and I’ll check this. I’ll compile mine and put it on the cart and you can sift through it." She offers.
Evan didn’t reply, but did as she says. He goes over the shelf, sifting through the titles. He found five other books, but because he had been thinking of only bringing ho three, he couldn’t bring all of them ho. Still, he is planning on reading one of them here. He still has so ti before nightfall.
He went back to see what Clara has done, and she has a lot of books on the cart. He saw that there are so books floating around, highlighted in a faint blue as it floats either up back to the shelves or down to Clara’s waiting hands.
"Hello." Evan replied, startling Clara, the book in the air dropping on the ground.
"Wha- hello! You’re back." She replies, the book from the floor started to float back up. "I have plenty of books here that you can borrow."
Evan raised looks at the books in his arms. "I only plan to borrow three. Can I have those reserved for my next visit?"
"Oh! I didn’t know you only needed three." Clara pursed her lips as her eyes looks over at the direction of her grandma’s counter. After a bit of silence, she turns to Evan and nods her head. "I think that’s fine. I can make sure that this cart would just be beside grandma’s counter. You’ve been here a lot. I’ll tell her and she’ll recognize you." She gave him a small smile.
"That’s really nice. Thank you." Evan replies, smiling too. "If you don’t mind asking, are you practicing the float thing?"
Clara nods her head. "Mhm. Telekinesis, is what my mom calls it. I can make this float and move them around."
"Seems very handy."
"It is, kind of." Clara placed the book on the shelf and turns to Evan fully. "I want sothing a bit more... Like water or earth maybe. I think that would be more cool. Moving stuff around isn’t cool."
"What makes you say, it’s not cool?" Evan asked, tilting his head at the side. "I haven’t seen anyone else that can move stuff with a single look. That’s amazing enough. If you can carry sothing heavier, you can make sothing drop from the sky."
Clara giggles. "I guess so. Do you have an ability?"
Evan scratched the back of his head. How is he going to tell her that his ability isn’t sothing he can describe?
"I’m... not really sure yet." He replies carefully. "It hasn’t showed up yet."
"You’re most likely a late bloor then. Mom used to tell that a lot of kids develop abilities a little later instead. So of them are elental. Maybe you can get elental based on. That would be really lucky." Clara nods approvingly.
Now that she ntions it, Evan didn’t have any knowledge about abilities. He only knows about what his parents has, and those were elental based ones.
"Are there books about abilities?" Evan finally asked.
Clara turns to the right and points at the ceiling. "They’re that-a-way through the third floor. Most of the mana based stuff are there, researches yadda yadda. I think you need a special pass to borrow so books and a different pass to take ho books from there too. They have tags there and everything."
"I see. Thank you for helping , Clara. You’re a really nice person." Evan smiles.
"You’re welco! I’ll be around here if you need any help." Clara waves at him.
Evan made his way towards a table with the five books in his arms earlier. He started opening one of them while he hears the sound of wheels across the ground going further and further away. It looks like Clara is bringing the cart towards where she said she’ll leave it.
Once Evan is sure that no one is around him, he paused from reading. "Status." He calls his panel.

There isn’t a lot of things that had improved as he would’ve liked, but it is still progress. He hasn’t co back to the stone hill cave yet. He wonders if 7 and 9 for his Strength and Agility are enough?
He found out that he can use his detect ability when the Simulation Zone is up, that is probably how he can do so things. He didn’t need any mana to do it at all and he can get description of a lot of things quickly just by skimming the title. It was what he was using earlier before he had to manually do it since Clara is around.
If he had known about the detect ability before he got out of the slis territory, he would probably find a work around for them.
He nods his head to himself. After reading, he’ll see when Iva’s around. When the voice is back from whatever it has been doing, Evan decided that it is finally ti to go through that cave tonight.
