"Maybe you need sothing else from us, Aamon?"

Aamon turned toward Nana. There was nothing he needed to do in this city except leave and continue his journey. Tissa also glanced toward Commander Nana.

"About that... I think I need a vehicle," Aamon replied.

"We have one," Nana answered.

She told them what kind of vehicle Aamon wanted. One of the soldiers soon arrived, bringing a motorcycle. It was fairly large, and the tank was filled with gasoline.

"This is one of our vehicles. So you can use it however you want," Nana said.

The motorcycle stood beside him, in good condition and ready to be used. Aamon certainly had no objections to taking it as his transportation.

"This is good. I’ll take it."

"Of course," Nana replied. "Thank you for helping us, Aamon."

Aamon got on the motorcycle and started the engine again. His attention shifted to the side. Tissa was still standing there.

Without saying goodbye, Aamon left Tissa and the military base in that city, heading east.

He took a detour through Chicago before entering the interstate highway that connected the regions to reach the East Coast.

Tissa looked sad. Her party with Aamon had ended. However, she could form a new party with her squad later.

The system was still the sa, and it might even be more beneficial for her.

Aamon rode along the city’s main road with the goal of heading south. His route was simple.

He would go south through Chicago, then enter the main road connecting the regions.

While riding alone through the city, several people suddenly erged from a narrow alley and blocked the road. Aamon stopped the motorcycle and stared sharply ahead.

"You! You’re from the Elite Army mbers, right?" one of them asked.

"Yes."

"You’ve entered Black Shade territory. If you want to pass, you’ll have to pay us with items," they said firmly.

"This city and this territory don’t belong to anyone. I’m not paying you," Aamon replied.

"Huh?! Do you want to die, bastard?!"

Aamon got off the motorcycle and parked it. He stood upright as his sword appeared in his hand, ready to fight them.

Three n dressed in black rushed forward while shouting, gripping their weapons. Two of them unleashed regular skills toward Aamon.

The young man easily dodged them. His movents were even faster now because his AGI attribute had increased.

"What? He dodged that so easily?!" one man complained.

"Your skill is weak. Watch mine," the other man said.

He swung his sword sideways, launching a blue slashing attack forward. Aamon avoided it again by leaping far away.

The third man attacked with a fireball aid at Aamon while he was still midair.

The fireball struck him, and an explosion burst into the sky, releasing thick black smoke.

The three n laughed, feeling satisfied that they had hit Aamon. However, the young man landed on the ground without a single injury. The black smoke faded into the sky.

"Your attacks... are weak," Aamon complained.

He stretched his hand forward, his sharp eyes staring straight at the three n.

[Assassin Class: Shadow Stealth]

Aamon began his attack. His body instantly vanished, shocking the three n. Their faces turned pale with panic.

"He... disappeared?!"

"What skill is that?"

"Be careful. He could be sowhere around—"

STAB!

The third man did not finish his sentence before a sword pierced through his back and out the front of his body.

The fatal stab tore through his skin and destroyed his internal organs. The man vomited blood as his face turned pale. His HP dropped drastically.

"H-Help... !"

He died with the sword still piercing his body. The two n beside him beca furious and enraged. They swung their spear and sword toward Aamon.

[Assassin Class: Death Sigil]

Aamon’s second skill activated, causing him to disappear again from the sight of the two n. They shouted angrily, calling Aamon a coward. But Aamon did not care.

He launched an iron needle at one of the n, injuring him and throwing him into panic. The man tried to run away, but his steps slowed.

Aamon appeared behind him and struck with several slashes and fatal thrusts.

The man died while the sigil was still active, allowing Aamon’s first skill to finish its cooldown. Only one man remained.

"You!"

[Assassin Class: Shadow Stealth]

Aamon disappeared again, making the man with the spear panic. He ran away in an attempt to escape Aamon.

Unfortunately, he failed. Aamon’s attack struck his body directly.

The man’s HP dropped to zero. The three n who had threatened him were now dead. Their deaths caused the other five mbers to hesitate to attack.

[Congratulations! You obtained drop items:]

[ 57 EXP || 230 Contribution Points || 230 Coins || 1x Chestplate Cloth (Low) || 23x Monster Core]

Their total EXP had been 575. Aamon only received 57 according to the 10% share.

However, he received the full amount of contribution points and coins. He even obtained equipnt and monster cores from their inventory.

"You... killed our friends?" one of them asked.

Aamon closed his system panel, lifted his head, and stared forward.

"You can end up like them if you insist on blocking my way."

They tightened their grips on their weapons. Doubt filled their minds about whether they could actually kill Aamon or not.

Clearly, they did not want to die like the three n before them.

"This is bad!"

One of the Black Shade mbers ran over and inford them. He said that the Haven Faction was attacking in the western territory, planning to seize that area.

They panicked and were shocked. In the end, they decided to focus on helping their team in the west instead of stopping Aamon.

"You’re lucky. I have to go help in the west. You can pass without paying!"

Aamon gave a faint smile, sheathed his sword, and rode his motorcycle away from the place.

He accelerated quickly, passing through the city and reaching the road that connected the two cities.

Afternoon turned into night, and Aamon still had not reached Chicago. More precisely, he had not reached the city center yet.

His motorcycle finally stopped in front of an abandoned hotel building. There was not a single person around.

He parked the motorcycle and walked inside. His sword remained in his hand as Aamon climbed the stairs to the upper floor.

Aamon checked every room door, trying to find an empty room where he could stay for the night.

When he reached the fifth floor, Aamon turned and noticed that one of the doors was open. Light was shining from inside, and the sound of running water could be heard.

Aamon grew more curious. He moved carefully, stepping silently as he peeked from outside the door.

When he pushed the door open a little wider, he saw several weapons scattered across the floor.

Cans of food were placed on the table, and the window curtains were wide open. The balcony door was also open, letting the cold air flow inside.

Who... is staying here?

Aamon noticed two empty food cans on the dining table, a simple sign that two people were living in this room.

"Jake? Is that you?" a woman’s voice called from the bathroom.

"Jake? Answer if that’s you."

The bathroom door opened, and Aamon quickly activated his assassin skill.

[Assassin Skill: Shadow Stealth]

Aamon’s presence disappeared, invisible and undetectable to anyone.

A beautiful woman walked out of the bathroom, and Aamon was clearly shocked.

"Avery?!"
