Chapter 728.1: I Shall Not Answer That!
Ye Mo glowered at the beautiful woman in front of him. “Miss, what’s this supposed to an?”
He frowned in displeasure, not sure why a stranger wanted to stop him from leaving.
“Is Ye your last na? Then surely you know Ye Ling?” Wang Xiangyun gave no reply, but instead put forward a question.
She’d overheard the conversation between Qin Fang and him, and presud that he could be Ye Ling’s brother. That would an he was one of Liu Duo’s husbands.
She made that guess on account of how Ye Mo looked so similar to Ye Ling.
They were brothers, after all, so they had to look alike. But Ye Liu and Ye Mo shared the most likenesses.
Little Tian noticed Ye Mo frowning impatiently. She did not have a good impression of him.
Being questioned like that, Ye Mo wondered, how does this woman know Ling’s na? When was Ling acquainted to her?
“I shall not answer that!” Ye Mo simply replied.
He would not give in to a stranger’s request so easily.
He moved around Wang Xiangyun and went on his way. He had to et up with Ye Liu and return ho. It was almost ti for lunch.
Little Tian blocked him again after hearing his an statent. “Hey, my lady just asked you whether you know Mister Ye. If you do, you do. If you don’t, you don’t. Why must you speak to her like that?”
Ye Mo might be handso, but she would not approve of anyone who was unfriendly towards Wang Xiangyun.
Eyeing the servant girl, who at this point seed to be making a big deal about the woman’s status and identity, Ye Mo said pretentiously, “Who are you, exactly? Why do I have to answer to you? Sha on you for blocking my way, you dishonorable woman!”
He hated the kind of people who looked down on others.
“Y-You...” Little Tian furrowed her brows, not expecting that from Ye Mo.
“What about ? Get out of my way.” Ye Mo did not want to waste his breath on her. Once again, he walked around Little Tian and resud his original route.
Little Tian, having been rejected, could only complain to Wang Xiangyun, “Miss, did you see how terrible he was? How dare he speak to us like that!”
Wang Xiangyun frowned angrily as well as she watched him leave. She had been told twice in one day what a shaless woman she was, so it was natural for her to feel angry and hurt. “Little Tian, when Miss Fang returns, ask her who that man is. I’m heading back inside.”
She turned away and entered the shop.
“Alright, got it.” Little Tian nodded, while wondering, hmmph, don’t think we can’t find out on our own!
By the ti Ye Mo reached the spot where the bullock-cart was waiting, Ye Liu jokingly asked him, “Hey, Mo, where are the portraits? Why did you co back empty-handed?”
Li Wazi also said in a quieter voice, “It’s exactly as Liu predicted. Mo wasn’t able to retrieve the portraits.”
Ye Mo refused to back down, despite the awkward situation. “Er, I didn’t get to et with Mr. Dongfang. He must have been busy,” he said. He boarded the bullock-cart and changed the topic. “Oh, I also t a rich lady who asked if I know Ling. Liu, Li Wazi, how do you think Ling t this woman? She had a servant girl with her.”
Ye Liu knew that Ye Mo had changed the topic on purpose, but he did not tease him for that.
He exchanged glances with Li Wazi. “We’ll have to ask Ling then. The three of us are always spending ti together. If you don’t know, then there’s no way we would.”
