"What are you going to do about that?" Luke asked. "My goal is to check is a soon as possible."

"I am not sure yet. We act as a group, so we have to reach a decision together, and we have so acquaintances that have targets heading there," Cresta said. "We will probably go as well, but only after preparing so counterasures. We have a lot of enemies, and they might use this chance to get us."

"I see... I am going to check things there, and I will try to leave so enemies behind for you guys to have fun with," Luke said.

"How considerate of you, anyway, you can find that thing if you head to the planet Raisrais and look to the left side of their sun," Cresta said. "It is a location fairly far away from the place, but you won’t be found by most of the enemies. And those who can feel your approach are already inside. Be careful and try not to get yourself killed. You might be hard to deal with, but it would be a pity to lose soone relatively sane."

Relatively sane... that was a fine description for Luke, and he welcod it. Once Cresta disappeared, Luke began to think of what he should do now that he could find a nest with who knows how many overlords. If he plays his hands right, he can kill more than a few before his sword starts to cause problems. He had one week for that, after all.

"Since it is a tower, the gravitational field only works for those who try to approach from outside. It is quite clear that the tower will have so obstacles and floors along the way," Luke thought. "I don’t know the reason why that was created, but I guess it would be similar to creating several arenas to make the overlords kill each other."

So might join the fight and make things more chaotic. Still, the place probably was quite sturdy since Cresta didn’t ntion any signs of destruction taking place until now.

Regardless, Luke returned to his dinsion to make so preparations for his next mission. As usual, he needed a way to increase his focus to help with his new sword, and while he had so points to help, he wanted another solution. He didn’t have many gold coins left, so he could only rely on his brain to find a solution.

After thinking for a while, Luke assud that he could have done sothing with Vampire Physiology. Still, since that was no longer possible, he decided to forget about that. Not to ntion, Luke wanted to remain human. After thinking for twelve hours in there, Luke realized that he would have to rely on potions. It was pretty clear that he wouldn’t just suddenly learn a convenient skill that would increase his focus. He tried to project a potion or a herb that would help him increase his paraters. Naturally, he failed. Still, while he was thinking of how to connect his armor with his dinsion to use potions automatically, Luke had another idea. What if he reversed engineered the Vampire Sword to create sothing that could feed him instead?

"A monster-eating sword that would pass their essences to and enhance my body... Why do I have those grotesque ideas so often?" Luke frowned.

The idea seed promising, but the execution was bound to be hard. Still, at least Luke could tell that he won’t have to keep the sword summoned all the ti. He could do so only when he was about to finish an enemy.

After so experints, Luke confird the obvious. That will be hard... Since he already knew that such skills existed and he had them, he ended up making the sword restore his mana and stamina after defeating the enemies, but that wasn’t his goal. He wanted the sword to compress all that energy or even absorb their whole body to give him power. Eventually, Luke even managed to make the weapon steal and give Luke health, mana and stamina at the sa ti, but it still wasn’t what he wanted.

After a while, Luke began to experint with creating swords while he had so creatures in mind, like the starving wolves. Since they had that ability, the sword was also created, having the power to cover itself with wind magic. Monsters have the power to beco stronger by eating their enemies as well, so Luke wondered if he should go that far... But then he recalled a certain creature. The first real enemy that threatened him: was the dark beasts.

Those creatures are rare, and they had the ability to beco stronger faster than the others by eating the targets. That ability was particularly more powerful on them. It was called Hunger. However, they had an evolved form, the dark cursed beast, and they could even obtain the abilities of their enemies.

"Co to think of it, I never saw Hunger in the skill book shop," Luke thought while frowning. "Not like I would have ti or the will to eat monsters."

In any case, just knowing the skill wasn’t enough. Luke had to understand how it worked in order to project the effect on the new weapon. In the end, Luke summoned a low-level Cursed dark beast with Beastly Summoning. He also summoned a random Starving Wolf and made them fight. In the end, the Cursed beast easily won and began to devour the enemy. At the sa ti, Luke felt the mana of the monster moving around and compressing sothing in its stomach. The remains of the mana on the corpse got active again, and after rotating and becoming a sphere, it was absorbed by the monster. At the sa ti, Luke saw that its strength increased by one point.

"My guess wasn’t wrong... I just have to make a sword that has a stomach, apparently," Luke thought. "Hopefully, this thing won’t cause a massive headache."
