Since when did the system have a na?!

It had never told deia anything about that, not even once, since the very first day it appeared in her head!

[The system has a na, but it assud Host wouldn’t care about such things. That’s why it chose not to tell you.]

Oh, really? The system had been bothering her with useless comnts all this ti, and this, the one thing that actually made sense to share, it decided to keep a secret?

It thought she wouldn’t care? Seriously?

What, did it think she was so heartless that she wouldn’t even want to know soone’s na?

Okay ... maybe she was a little heartless.

But still! It wasn’t fair to work with soone for months and not even know what to call them!

’Then tell your na,’ she demanded.

There was a short pause before the system finally gave in and shared a quick summary.

[The system will now provide a brief status update.]

[System Na: A-01

Host: deia Vega

Type: Find a handso, kind-hearted husband

Main Abilities: Demonic Skills & Water Manipulation

Status: Activated]

deia narrowed her eyes. ’Why does your na start with an ’A,’ and Tian’s starts with an ’X’? Does that an you were made first?’

[That’s right, Host! The earlier the letter and number, the older the system.]

But ... her system’s na—or maybe brand—was A-01.

Wasn’t that basically the first system ever created by their creator?

Wait a minute ... how did she end up with the oldest one ... and yet it still wasn’t all that helpful?!

[The A-01 System is not the oldest system.]

[There is another system that ca before A-01.]

Still, it was kind of impressive. deia had an old system, even if it was a little useless most of the ti.

"You already know about the voice in our heads, right?" Tian asked.

This ti, he didn’t seem nervous at all. He looked sure of himself, like he already knew deia had a system, just like he did.

And now that she knew what his system could do, it made sense.

Of course he would know.

"I know them," deia said with a snort. "Just a bunch of annoying voices in your head. I swear, if I could trade mine in for sothing a little sweeter, I would."

[Host, insulting your own system is prohibited!]

’Who said I was talking about you?’ deia thought. ’I ant the voice in the back of my head. That’s my inner thought, not you.’

The system fell silent. Sohow, her ridiculous excuse actually sounded convincing.

"So," deia said, tilting her head slightly, "why’d you bring here?"

"Don’t waste ti pretending this was just a coincidence. We both know you don’t do things without planning sothing."

Just like she’d said before, Tian wasn’t the type to act on impulse.

"My system said you could help ," Tian finally admitted.

Oh, so now they were just saying it out loud. No more pretending.

"Don’t count on it," deia said with a shrug. "I don’t do favors for free. And really, aren’t you the one acting foolish now? You know I’m not the real deia, but here you are ... still asking for my help."

What kind of person actually hoped a demon would help them?

"I know what you are," Tian said softly, "but I can also feel your heart. You’re ... not as bad as you think."

deia’s expression darkened. Not that bad?

What kind of joke was that?

She was the Demon Queen, soone who ruled Hell beside the Dark Lord.

She had tortured billions of souls, done things so awful that even angels sneered at her na.

So to say she wasn’t that bad? That was completely absurd.

"Don’t ss with , Tian," deia said, folding her arms tightly. "Everything I’m doing now ... it’s not because I want to. I’m just collecting points, that’s all."

She wouldn’t care about the villagers if the system hadn’t made it part of her mission.

She wouldn’t have bothered building a fortress to protect people if there was nothing in it for her.

Everything she did ... she saw it as fake, a re performance.

If the system hadn’t pushed her to be kind, Tian wouldn’t be saying any of this.

He’d see her for what she truly was.

"Liar," Tian said quietly.

"You say you hate doing good, but your heart ... it feels relieved every ti you do sothing kind."

"People’s minds can lie," he continued. "But hearts? No. Hearts never lie."

deia clenched her fists.

The more he spoke, the more it sounded like nonsense.

What was wrong with him? Why was he suddenly acting so ... emotional?

She actually preferred the old version of him that looked cold, distant, and logical.

"Nonsense," she said with a bitter laugh. "My heart is as rotten as a corpse. Isn’t that why you knew I wasn’t the real deia? My heart could never be as pure as hers."

Tian went quiet for a mont. Then he said sothing that completely threw her off.

"You’re wrong," he said. "I knew you weren’t Miss deia from the mont we t... because your heart is actually purer than hers."

deia stared at him, disgusted, like he had just said sothing that made her want to throw up.

A pure heart?

What a joke.

Even Heaven would laugh at the idea that the Queen of Hell had a heart purer than a human’s.

"But your heart," he added, "is also full of darkness. That’s why it’s hard to understand you. Because you’re always stuck between the two."

deia let out a sigh of relief.

See? She wasn’t that pure.

"Why do you look ... happy?" Tian frowned, confused.

Most people wouldn’t feel relieved after being told their heart was filled with darkness.

"Because it’s nonsense!" deia’s voice echoed through the cellar. "If I really had a pure heart, the fires of hell would’ve died out by now!"

"And the angels in heaven—"

Tian quickly covered her mouth when a strange noise echoed from deep within the cellar.

No—now that deia looked closer, this place didn’t feel like a cellar anymore. It looked more like an underground tunnel.

"Don’t be too loud," Tian warned quietly. "You’ll wake them."

deia pushed his hand away, annoyed, but she still lowered her voice. "Them? Who exactly are they?"

"The demons," Tian said, dead serious. "That’s why I brought you here. Only a demon can deal with demons."
