I was finally able to relax at the cafe after being led by Sally and Erica to do all sorts of shopping.

They said that all the clothes I bought would be sent to the school dormitory.

It couldn’t be more convenient and better. Money is the best.

And then I stopped by a cafeteria at the end of the town square.

‘Huh? This is... ... .’

It was a cafe that had a sign saying that it was looking for employees.

Raven’s living expenses and tuition, if I had to continue attending this school, I would have to work part-ti, so I was worried.

♥ Looking for employees ♥

Weekends from noon to 8pm

“lody, what’s wrong?”

Erica stopped by the cafe with Sally and looked back at with a puzzled expression.

I shook my head.

“It’s nothing.”

I should quietly ask the boss about part-ti jobs when I leave later. I don’t know what Erica and Sally will make a fuss about.

“You want to work here?”

As I was looking at the sign carefully, soone spoke to .

I looked up in surprise. I saw a familiar face. It was Leonard.

“Huh? Why are you here...?”

“I’m an employee here.”

“You? Aren’t you a noble?”

“Nobles can’t work part-ti? Don’t be so prejudiced. You can do anything on this island, lody.”

But even though you’re a noble, isn’t it okay to be prejudiced? I looked at Leonard with that calm thought.

When I didn’t follow, Sally returned to the cafe entrance and called .

“lody? You’re not coming... What are you?”

She looked at Leonard with distrustful eyes, using strange honorifics.

He didn’t forget to look him up and down in his uniform.

Leonard crossed his arms and looked at Sally with displeasure.

“What are you? Why is Sally Anne Sutherland with Hastings...? You’re not satisfied with just harassing Erica, so you’re going to harass Hastings too?”

Sally’s face turned red at Leonard’s words. She shut her mouth tightly and glanced at .

It seed that Sally really hated Erica.

Sally was flustered and made an excuse almost in a slurred voice when Leonard’s displeasure didn’t seem to go away.

“T-Not anymore. There was a misunderstanding back then... I also reflected... reflected...”

While she was rambling, Erica walked toward where we were standing. It seed like she had overheard our conversation.

“I got an apology from Sally. We decided to make up. And lody is our friend. It’s not the kind of relationship you think.”

Sally looked at Erica with moved eyes at her explanation. And I chewed on her words.

lody is our friend.

Our friend.

Friend.

The prickly Erica clearly called her friend.

“Am I a friend now?”

Erica glanced at and snorted at my question.

“Huh! I don’t make friends with just anyone. I think it’s an honor.”

“They’re having fun.”

Leonard, who had been quietly watching the situation, said with a dumbfounded expression.

Then Erica’s face turned red as well.

It seed that both Sally and Erica were not honest in many ways.

“So lody, where did you really skip class and disappear to? You suddenly disappeared and surprised all the mbers of the leadership team.”

Leonard ignored Sally and Erica and asked .

It had been a while since I had a proper conversation with Leonard since I had been chasing Raven during every break.

Anyway, it was an awkward question, but Sally and Erica took my side just like they did with Senior Weston.

“Sally and I were fighting in the lobby, and lody got involved in the fight. Thanks to lody, we made up and decided to be friends.”

“Hmm. I see.”

Leonard nodded with a face that seed to ignore the question and checked the ti.

“Let’s go in first. It’s difficult if you do this at the entrance, custors.”

You caught first and now you’re treating like a regular custor!

I felt very wronged, but there were custors trying to enter the cafe behind us, so I had no choice but to move forward.

We sat down on the terrace overlooking the town square, and Leonard brought us the nu.

“lody, what do you want to eat?”

At Erica’s question, I frowned as I looked at the nu.

‘What are all these nus?’

It was the first ti I’d ever been to a cafe in my life.

I vaguely knew that cafes sold coffee, but I really didn’t know anything else.

I never dread that there would be this many different types of drinks.

Haaaaaang-

I don’t know where they ca from, but one by one, ghosts gathered around .

They looked at the nu I was holding with curious faces.

Among them, there was a ghost whose eyes were droopy and looked as innocent as a puppy.

It was the ghost who had helped not get off when I had the elevator ghost story.

The ghost with droopy eyes tapped the nu with its round, cotton-like hands to see if there was a nu that he liked.

‘What is this?’

As I was looking at the nu, Sally smiled.

“lody seems to want to eat parfait!”

I don’t know what parfait is, but the ghosts looked excited. I don’t know why they like it when they can’t even eat it.

While they were tilting their heads like that, Sally and Erica wiggled their fingers at Leonard, who was standing at the counter.

Leonard looked at Sally and Erica with an expression as if he had chewed shit.

“I’m an employee here, not your servant?”

“I know. Does it hurt?”

“We just called the employee?”

Sally and Erica shrugged their shoulders in response to Leonard’s dissatisfied answer.

He looked at them with a face of bewildernt.

Sally and Erica got along pretty well. It was enough to explain why they were friends in the past.

Anyway, after Leonard, who had taken the order, disappeared, Erica and Sally were now looking at the nu and discussing the new nu.

In the anti, I blankly stared at the square.

The weather was very nice in the early fall season.

That may be why there were many people out on a picnic in the town square on the weekend.

It was peaceful.

And the floating ghosts naturally blended in with the townspeople. It was so much so that I wondered why I hadn't seen them last ti.

'Why didn't I see them then?'

The first ti I saw a ghost was when I had a nosebleed at Johannes Castle.

'Hey, what's the big deal?'

I might have missed it when I first arrived at school because I was so out of it.

At that ti, it had only been a short ti since I escaped from Cheswind Village, and I was so busy thinking about Raven.

While I was lost in thought looking at the peaceful village scenery, I heard a commotion from in front of .

Sally and Erica were arguing.

“Erica, you’ve only just t lody. If soone saw you, they’d think you’d been best friends for years.”

“The ti we’ve known each other isn’t important. At least we’re close, unlike you.”

“Well, we’ll have to ✧ NоvеIight ✧ (Original source) wait and see. Do you think lody, who’s so innocent, can handle Erica’s prickly personality?”

“I’d rather be a hot-tempered brat like you.”

Sally, who was furious, jumped up from her seat and shouted at Erica.

“Erica, are you done talking?”

“You haven’t finished talking yet?”

Erica didn’t back down and jumped up to face Sally.

I sat across from them and looked at them with a bewildered face.

Just then, Leonard ca out with a tray full of drinks that we had ordered.

“They’ve been like that since the old days. Leave them alone. By the way, lody, you ordered a parfait, right?”

When I nodded obediently, he smiled and placed a parfait in front of .

And as soon as I saw the visual of the parfait, my eyes widened.
