Chapter 031: It’s Quite Cool.

“Are we climbing or not?” The hooded figure was torn.

She was afraid of being discovered by the ferocious beast if she climbed, which would truly make her fate uncertain.

But if she didn’t climb, this might be her only chance.

“Climb. Why wouldn’t I climb?” The hooded figure gritted her teeth.

She had never been afraid of death. When an opportunity arose, she had to seize it.

With a running start, the hooded figure stepped on the rock wall a few tis and grabbed the dangling spider silk.

“Whoosh~ whoosh~”

She took a few deep breaths and began climbing up while gripping the spider silk.

The hooded figure climbed until she was level with the suspension bridge. Since it was on the back side of the hill,

she couldn’t see the bridge’s location. She could only tilt her head and listen to the thieves’ conversation.

“I didn’t expect anyone to infiltrate this place.”

“No idea who it is. They’re really bold.”

“Could it be one of our own?”

“Stop talking nonsense. Watch your life.”

Upon hearing this, the hooded figure instantly understood that the cleanly dressed man from earlier had already infiltrated the thieves’ ranks.

But unfortunately, he’d still been discovered.

“That man wouldn’t have expected this—I’d use the ferocious beast’s spider silk to enter Bloodbeard’s treasure vault.”

The hooded figure felt a bit smug. He had refused to cooperate with her, and now he was trapped inside, wasn’t he?

Almost there. Just a little more effort.

She cheered herself on and looked up at the hilltop, faintly seeing so light.

After spending over ten minutes, the hooded figure finally reached the top. But what struck her as odd was…

why was there a massive hole in front of her, as if soone had smashed it open?

“Soone’s grilling at inside.” The hooded figure twitched her delicate nose, her throat involuntarily swallowing.

She had been lying in ambush outside the thieves’ valley for over ten days and hadn’t had a proper al.

“Could it be Bloodbeard’s son, Bloodblade, inside?”

The hooded figure flexed her fingers and drew a longbow and three arrows from her cloak.

She skilfully nocked an arrow and drew the bow, slowly approaching the opening while turning sideways, preparing for a lethal shot.

Next, she’d charge in, locate her target, and escape with the loot.

The hooded figure ntally rehearsed the plan.

When she reached the edge of the opening and peeked inside, she saw a familiar figure.

It was the cleanly dressed man, leisurely grilling at.

The hooded figure was so shocked that she involuntarily made a sound. “Why is it him?”

“You made it up here too, huh?” Mu Liang waved the piece of grilled at in his hand as though greeting a friend.

With his current ntal attributes, his perception was extraordinarily sharp.

He had noticed the hooded figure when she climbed to the hilltop.

He had planned to reveal himself later, but she made a noise first.

“…” The hooded figure’s mouth twitched. Resigned, she stowed her bow and arrows and stepped into the opening.

She still found it sowhat hard to believe and asked, “How are you here?”

“How are you here?” Mu Liang asked casually.

“You also climbed up using the spider silk,” the hooded figure suddenly realised.

“No wonder you didn’t want to cooperate with . So you knew about the spider silk.”

“Wait a minute. How did you even know the spider silk could be used? That spider beast???”

The hooded figure belatedly realised sothing was off.

She suddenly turned and looked behind her. A two-tre-tall ghost-faced spider was blocking the opening.

“As you can see, Little Red is my tad beast,” Mu Liang said calmly.

“So that’s it… Seems I was too naive.” The hooded figure sighed in defeat.

With a tad spider beast at his disposal, no wonder he wouldn’t cooperate with her.

The hooded figure glanced at the trembling pile of rocks.

Even the thieves were trapped outside, letting out exasperated roars.

“Smash it! Smash it harder!”

“…” The hooded figure covertly scanned her surroundings and her eyes lit up when she spotted a ssy, dug-up pit.

But she didn’t dare act rashly, fearing she might provoke the hostility of the man and the beast before her.

“You’re a step too late.”

Mu Liang flipped the at and said blandly, “The Crystal Fish is already in my possession.”

“Rest assured, the Crystal Fish isn’t my target,” the hooded figure quickly replied.

“You’re not here for the Crystal Fish? Then what are you here for?” Mu Liang asked curiously.

Of everything found so far, the Crystal Fish was the most valuable.

“Have you seen a flower with a pair of wings?”

The hooded figure answered straightforwardly, “That’s the reason I’m here.”

“A flower with wings?” Mu Liang frowned as he recalled sothing.

He thought of a nearly withered plant and said calmly, “There is such a flower.”

“Really? Where is it?”

The hooded figure couldn’t help taking two steps forward and asked eagerly, “Could you let see it?”

“No.” Mu Liang refused without hesitation.

“That flower is very important to . I’m willing to trade sothing for it,” the hooded figure said anxiously.

“First of all, you’re not showing sincerity.”

Mu Liang glanced at her hood and replied coldly, “Would you trade with soone who’s never shown their face?”

“You’d be frightened,” the hooded figure said bitterly.

She feared scaring him and causing the deal to fall through.

“I have to see it to decide if what you’re saying is true.” Mu Liang gestured with his hand.

“But… many have been frightened by already,” the hooded figure muttered, taking a step back.

“Is that so? It’s fine if you don’t want to.” Mu Liang continued eating his grilled at calmly.

After a while…

Perhaps she had thought it through, or maybe she was forced by circumstances.

The hooded figure gritted her teeth and said, “If I show you, will you let see the flower?”

“I didn’t want to force you, but I can’t help being curious.”

Mu Liang chewed his at, swallowed, and said, “I’ll agree. As long as you show , I’ll let you see the winged flower.”

“All right. I hope you’ll keep your word,” the hooded figure replied hoarsely.

She raised her hands to grip the sides of her hood and slowly pulled it back, revealing a head of snow-white long hair.

“White hair, huh? Looks pretty nice,” Mu Liang comnted as he looked at the white-haired girl, who was lowering her head.

“How about this?” The white-haired girl suddenly raised her head, revealing a delicate face with snow-white skin, silver-white eyes, and a cute nose.

But what stood out was a patch of crimson markings beneath her right eye, resembling electronic circuits.

These markings extended to her neck, disappearing further down.

“…” Mu Liang’s expression froze. The hooded figure’s appearance was unexpectedly attractive.

“I told you, you’d be frightened.” The white-haired girl noticed his dazed look, her face turning pale.

Just like everyone else who had seen her before, he was scared of the “Void Ghost’s infection.”

Her silver-white eyes glared at him as she pressed her lips tightly together, struggling to resist putting the hood back on.

“Your markings are almost as cool as my tri-coloured ones.”

Mu Liang snapped out of his daze and praised, “But they’re still pretty aweso.”

“???” The white-haired girl tilted her head, her gaze blank.

What was this man saying? Why didn’t she quite understand?
