1083 The End of the Beginning II
The Primal were forcefully separated, their bodies flung through the galaxy. The Calamity Dragon ignored everything they'd decided earlier and attacked Kytos. Mythical void flas burned Kytos, forcing the Primal to respond with a wave of Essences. The void flas reached the Essence and tore it apart. It wasn't fast or anything, but the void flas were strong enough to inflict so damage.
Kytos appeared next to the Calamity Dragon's head with a massive Zweihänder in his hands. The Zweihänder cleaved down and cut deep into the Calamity Dragon's cheek. Interestingly enough, the Essence Zweihänder wasn't strong enough to sever the dragon's head, let alone to chip his skull. On the contrary, the Calamity Dragon responded with void flas gushing out of its cheeks. The flas lt the Essence Zweihänder, forcing Kytos to change his tactic.
He jumped from the Calamity Dragon's head and conjured a pair of Essence Daggers in his hands instead. He pierced the daggers into the dragon's neck, using more Essence to push his body downward. The injury inflicted on the Calamity Dragon wasn't small. It was a lengthy cut that would take weeks to heal. After all, injuries inflicted through a Primal's Essence couldn't be healed so easily. Either you had to remove the Essence lingering in the wound or use a similarly powerful or stronger Essence to wash it out.
Michael did just that. He released a bullet made of supre healing serum, which he'd conjured through his pristine Essence, and hurled it at the Calamity Dragon. The Calamity Dragon may not be like Michael, but it nonetheless accepted the supre healing serum.
Michael observed the other Primal and nodded slowly. No one dared to attack him head-on. They were too afraid to beco his main target. At least after realizing how much stronger Michael had actually grown.
His attention was drawn toward sothing in the wide-open space, and he frowned. The weave tried to attract his attention. It was an invisible pulling force, but Michael could instinctively tell where it ca from. The weave was doing sothing. It tried telling him sothing.
However, Michael wasn't given the luxury of paying much attention to the weave. His focus returned to the remaining five Primal, whereas Kytos fought the Calamity Dragon.
The Primal didn't move one mont, yet they appeared around him in the next second with several Essence Storms brewing around them. They unleashed their Essences in an attempt to suppress Michael and attacked him with countless projectiles. First, Essence Spears and throwing knives ca his way. However, it didn't take long before the throwing knives were replaced by Essence Bullets and the Essence Spears with massive blades.
Michael mantled his body in gold. He used the Wolf Divinity to extract the Essence within their attacks and forcefully annexed it by fusing the Essence with his pristine Essence. Michael ignored the sparks and distortion in the fabric around the forcefully rged Essences and conjured lightning bolts made of pure Essence instead.
The lightning bolts zapped through the Beginning and struck three out of five Primal in the back before dispersing. It didn't look like the bolts had inflicted any damage, but the opposite was the case. The lightning bolts inflicted a lot more damage than Michael had hoped for.
'Fusing the Expanse's Essence with the Weave's Essence seems to create an even more potent Essence. That's good. It makes sense as well. The weave and the expanse are part of the sa: They were once one and the sa and were forcefully separated. It is no wonder they work well together.' Michael concluded, his expression easing up even though the speed at which he got attacked increased drastically.
Michael had a hard ti evading all attacks. However, Michael gained a minuscule advantage by devouring bits and pieces of the Primal's Essence through their projectiles and fusing it with his own Essence. He used the rged Essence via the Galaxy of Elents to conjure wind and fire simultaneously.
The wind and fire coated him, pushing him through the space much faster than he could move through the wide-open space under normal circumstances. Of course, Michael never stopped channeling pristine Essence through his body to move through space. However, he added the fire-attributed Essence and the wind-attributed Essence to accelerate.
The boost was exactly what Michael needed to evade most incoming attacks. So Essence Blades and Bullets struck him, a few Essence Blades even exploded the instance they touched him, but the damage was not too great. The exploding blades were blocked by a few Imperial Barriers, which Michael operated instinctively. Only a minuscule amount of ntal power was needed to call upon his Soultraits. He could bend them as he desired and use their powers to the limits.
The Primal could do sothing similar. However, their access to these powers was not that simple. The Primal could do the sa as Michael, but they weren't capable of doing it as easily as Michael. Galaxy of Elents granted him full access to all Elents in the cosmos. The Primal had the sa access, but they had to go down a far more complicated path to conjure a blazing inferno than Michael.
That didn't an it was difficult for them. It was just that the ti and effort needed weren't worth it for the Primal. For Michael, on the other hand, it was simple. And he would certainly make use of every little advantage he held over the others. He didn't have more than a dozen Soultrait Symbols, Pure Aether, four Divinities, pristine Essence, and billions upon billions of Links of Loyalty for no reason.
He would make use of everything until the Primal were defeated.
"Is that all?" Michael laughed into the wide-open space, silver liquid gushing from his body as the Primal combined their forces to injure him. He was healing rapidly, but that was not what the silver liquid was there for. The liquid wasn't healing serum, after all.
No. it was the Pure Aether Michael had amassed.
It coiled around his arms and legs like a silver serpent, engulfed his chest, and covered his head tightly. Only his vibrantly glowing golden eyes were left unprotected.
After all, the Primal had to look into the eyes of the man who was going to kill them!
