Chapter 1144: Oh, he’s back!
Barely opening her eyes, Elira looked around in confusion. Her red, slightly misty eyes wandered, not understanding where she was and what she was doing here.
“All day,” a familiar voice rang out, and she saw Idan appear in front of her.
She blinked a few times, and her cheeks turned slightly pink.
“So, did you manage to learn the Golden Fire?” asked Idan, ignoring her embarrassment.
“Huh? What? Golden Fire?” — Elira tilted her head to the side, and after a few seconds her eyes widened with the realization of how she got here.
She raised her hand and lit the flame. And then something incredible happened, almost miraculous: at her request, the flame partially turned golden.
Now, two different kinds of flames were dancing in her hands.
Seeing this miracle in her hands, Elira felt warmth on her cheeks.
“Huh? Tears?”
It took her a moment to realize that she was crying.
“Wh… what is it? Golden fire?” asked Cyrion, who appeared with a tremor in his voice, pointing to the fire in Elira’s hands.
All this time, he had been watching Elira and Idan from time to time. And the more he looked, the more he realized that he might have jumped to conclusions and that the two of them didn’t have romantic feelings for each other.
But when he saw the golden fire in Elira’s hands, he couldn’t help but appear.
Only Idan, frowning, watched this inpletely manifested Golden Fire in Elira’s hands.
“How?” — Cyrion asked Elira, and she finally noticed her ancestor.
“Idan helped,” she blurted out, turning to him.
“You!” exclaimed Cyrion, also turning to Idan. “How did you do that?”
Idan frowned. Cyrion’s question came at the most inopportune moment, disrupting the train of thought that he had just begun to build.
“Shut up a little, old man, let me think a little.”
Cyrion did not like this answer, but he restrained his emotions, seeing that Idan’s attention was pletely absorbed by the Golden Fire.
Idan’s thoughts were spinning rapidly, and an interested Ash joined in the process when he saw two different types of flames in Elira’s hands.
“Yes, even though she only managed to partially manifest it, it’s almost the same Golden Fire as mine. Characterless, pure Golden Fire,” Idan nodded, and Ash agreed with his opinion.
The same fluctuations. The same presence and, of course, the same weakness.
Undoubtedly, Elira was only holding the base of the Golden Fire in her hands. But for some reason, unlike Idan himself, she couldn’t fully manifest it.
“This is probably due to the difference in our bloodlines,” Idan had no other explanation for this.
“Congratulations!” he said to Elira with a smile. “You’ve mastered the basics of the Golden Fire.”
“The basics of the Golden Fire?” she asked in disbelief.
“Yes,” Idan confirmed. “This is not a real Golden Fire. Imagine it as a pure golden sheet on which you will have to write your understanding in order to reveal the true power of the Golden Fire. A fire that will belong only to you.”
“This is exactly what I shared with you through my, as you say, Flame panion,” with these words, Idan raised and demonstrated his Golden Fire.
“Did you… did you… did you share your understanding of the Golden Fire with Elira directly, through the Flame panions?” Cyrion interrupted them with a tremor in his voice, but unable to hide his amazement.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I did,” Idan confirmed.
“But how is this possible?”— Cyrion was at a loss, unable to prehend how this guy managed to acplish such a thing.
“Old man, just because you and the other True Fire holders aren’t capable of such a thing doesn’t mean it’s impossible,” Idan said with a smile. “Especially when you have a non-neutered Flame panion like yours.”
Cyrion clutched his chest as if he had suffered a heart attack after Idan’s confession. He sank to the ground, trying to prehend what he had heard.
He was aware of the limitations. I knew it too long ago. He also knew who had put them on. But knowing is one thing, and seeing someone in front of you who treats the Flame panion as if the ancient seals had never existed is quite another.
“Elira, you’ll have to find your own Golden Fire next. I can’t help you with this because I haven’t found my own yet,” Idan said and, looking at Cyrion, added, “Take care of your ancestor.”
“Okay,” Elira nodded and then bowed gratefully in front of him. “Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, Idan. You have no idea how important this is to my clan and to me personally.”
She raised her head and looked into Idan’s eyes.
“I promise that I will repay you for this,” Elira said, without realizing it, as her cheeks blushed.
Idan, remembering Arabel’s words, did not miss the opportunity.:
“If you want to thank me, join the Kingdom. Bee an official member of it.”
“Join the Kingdom?” wondered Elira, casting a slightly worried glance at her ancestor. But then she made the decision on her own, without waiting for Cyrion’s approval.:
“Okay, I agree to join.”
“Great,” — Idan rejoiced. “And yes, just because you joined the Kingdom doesn’t mean you have to sever all ties with your clan. You can continue to help them if you want.”
“If necessary, the Kingdom will also help you to the best of its ability.”
“Thank you,” Elira said again.
Satisfied with the result, Idan teleported to the prison to find the little queen there.
“Prina, do you have a {Whisper Talisman}?” asked Idan as soon as he found her.
“Yes, there is. Master gave me one,” replied Prina, taking out a Talisman from her spatial storage.
“Great, then do me a favor: go to the Eastern Continent and find Livia, Saelina, and Cecile. As soon as you find them, let me know, and I’ll open a portal for you to bring them here,” Idan asked.
“No problem,” Prina agreed, and, assuming the form of a teenager, stepped into the Access Portal that Idan had opened.
“Now that this is sorted out, it remains only to wait and show these three to Geminia so that she can evaluate them personally.”
It was at this moment that Idan felt his baby dragon appear in the Kingdom.
“Oh, he’s back!”
Idan instantly teleported to him, where he was met by Milica and the whole group, who went to the Lava Lake to extract Fire Crystals.
“Here you are, catch it,” with these words, Milica tossed him a magic bag.
Catching it and peering inside, Idan held his breath.
There was a huge amount of Fire Crystals inside, more than he had ever seen before.
Milica smiled with satisfaction, watching his reaction.
It took Idan a while to recover from the shock and realize how many System Points they could get by selling all those Fire Crystals.
“Eh? What is it?”
His attention was attracted by something red and pulsating behind Milica and the group, on top of which sat a Baby dragon.
It seemed familiar to Idan. He had seen something similar just yesterday, but this was something else entirely.
It really looked like a cocoon, but it was red, pulsating, and seemed to have lava boiling inside it.
And then a name flashed through Idan’s mind.
“Hailey?”
