All the players took their seats one by one.

As the organizer pressed the countdown tir, the entire venue imdiately fell silent.

As the saying goes, "True gentlen do not speak while watching a ga of chess", spectators are not allowed to disturb the competitors during the match.

Mu Qingqing and Guan Xiaolin did not understand Go, so they found a spot nearby to wait.

With a cold laugh, Guan Xiaolin looked at Mu Qingqing and said, "I’m really looking forward to seeing you, the young lady of the Mu Family, kneel and bark like a dog in public today. I must record it and post it to my circle of friends, so everyone can see what the bitch Qingqing looks like."

Mu Qingqing gritted her teeth, "Don’t be smug too early, it’s not certain yet who will be the one kneeling and barking!"

Even though she said this, she had no confidence in her heart.

Guan Xiaolin smirked playfully and stopped talking, clearly believing Mu Qingqing stood no chance.

Fifteen minutes after the match began, Chen Fan stood up.

Seeing this, Guan Xiaolin imdiately shouted with excitent, "Is this guy here to crack jokes? Only fifteen minutes have passed and he’s been eliminated. With this level of skill, he dared to challenge our Cheng Rui!"

Mu Qingqing couldn’t help but clench her fists, suddenly becoming very nervous.

Cheng Rui, who was in the middle of his ga, had been keeping an eye on Chen Fan’s situation. When he saw him standing up, a cold smirk also appeared on his lips.

At that mont, the referee walked over, inspected the board, and declared Chen Fan the winner.

Chen Fan’s opponent rose dejectedly, looking at Chen Fan as if he were a monster. He had studied Go all these years and had never encountered such a formidable opponent.

Even the referee couldn’t help but take a few more glances at Chen Fan. Winning in fifteen minutes was almost the fastest in the history of the competition.

Guan Xiaolin’s face darkened upon seeing the outco and she yelled angrily, "How could that guy be the winner? There must be a mistake!"

On the other hand, a smile appeared on Mu Qingqing’s face, their expressions completely reversed, "If you can’t accept defeat, you shouldn’t bet with in the first place. What, only your boyfriend is allowed to win?"

Guan Xiaolin bit her lip, saying, "Hmph, if the match ended this quickly, it ans his opponent was a novice. He just got lucky, there’s nothing for you to be proud of."

Cheng Rui was also sowhat surprised, but he shared Guan Xiaolin’s thoughts, "Probably just lucked out against a newbie."

He then stopped getting distracted and focused on playing his ga.

The player who lost to Chen Fan went over to the organizers.

A middle-aged man from the organizing committee looked at him and said, "Wang, are you not in good form today? How did you get knocked out so quickly? You were the champion of the last tournant, after all."

The man chuckled bitterly and shook his head, "It’s just my bad luck to co up against a master right from the start. You might want to keep an eye on that young man. The champion of this competition is very likely to be him."

...

The competition continued and with Chen Fan’s newfound understanding of the "True aning of the Hundred Solutions of the Chess Path," he naturally dominated the amateur tournant, winning almost every round within about fifteen minutes.

As the national champion of the Go tournant, Cheng Rui’s skill level was naturally not weak either, and he successfully claid victory in the first five rounds.

It seed that God also wanted to see Chen Fan and Cheng Rui face off in the finals as neither drew each other as opponents in the first five rounds.

Chen Fan didn’t care, since facing him earlier or later would result in the sa outco.

Cheng Rui’s attitude, however, began to change. Seeing Chen Fan win five consecutive rounds, it was clear he wasn’t just relying on luck, so Cheng Rui had no choice but to start taking this opponent seriously.

With every victory Chen Fan secured, Guan Xiaolin’s expression grew darker, and by the end, it was as if water was about to drip from her face.

Mu Qingqing beca more and more relaxed, gradually believing that Chen Fan’s daring to participate in the competition was backed by certain confidence.

Soon, the final arrived, with Chen Fan playing against Cheng Rui, and the atmosphere in the hall reached a fever pitch.

Chen Fan and Cheng Rui sat down in front of the Go board.

"Even if you’ve won the previous five rounds, that’s just your luck," Cheng Rui said coldly, "The championship is mine. I will show you how terrifying a true Go master can be!"

Chen Fan smiled and said, "If you keep attributing your opponent’s victories to luck, then you’re not far from losing."

As the referee pressed the countdown tir, the final officially began.

Guan Xiaolin’s face was tense, she clenched her fists, and muttered incessantly, "Cheng Rui will definitely win, Cheng Rui will definitely win!"

Mu Qingqing said impatiently, "Old Witch, can you please stop cursing here? You’re driving crazy."

Guan Xiaolin snorted coldly, "Just wait to kneel down and bark like a dog!"

Fifteen minutes later.

The referee announced loudly, "The champion of this Chess King Showdown has been born, let us congratulate Chen Fan!"

The hall imdiately erupted into cheers.

"Incredible, just fifteen minutes, only fifteen minutes and the ga is over, it’s unbelievable!"

"Damn, I was already shocked by Chen Fan’s Go ga earlier, I’ve been holding it in until now to finally exclaim, it was killing !"

...

Chen Fan stood up and smiled at everyone.

Cheng Rui stared at the Go board as if bewitched, murmuring incessantly, "This can’t be, this can’t be..."

Chen Fan glanced at Cheng Rui and said with a smile, "Do you know why I asked you how you compared to a national master before the ga started?"

Cheng Rui looked up, puzzled, and asked, "Why?"

Chen Fan said with a smile, "Because I had defeated an old man who had reached the national master level beforehand."

Cheng Rui’s entire body stiffened as if plunged into an ice cellar.

Not far away, Mu Qingqing, excited, jumped up and then rushed over to hug Chen Fan, kissing him on the face, "You are really amazing!"

Chen Fan felt a bit embarrassed and coughed lightly, "Mind the impact, I am only pretending to be your boyfriend."

Mu Qingqing, with an unconcerned and haughty expression, said, "So what? I’m just expressing my excitent."

Guan Xiaolin stared blankly at this scene, her lips turned white with anger.

"That guy is just a loser, how could he possibly outplay Cheng Rui, why, why, Cheng Rui should be the champion!"

Her mouth spewed cold air, and then she walked over to Cheng Rui and shouted, "Aren’t you the national champion? Why can’t you beat a stinky loser!"

Cheng Rui lifted his head and gave her a look, saying, "He’s a loser? His level has already reached that of a national master, how do you expect to win?"

Mu Qingqing, feeling elated, approached Guan Xiaolin and said with a smile, "Gorgeous Guan, now that the results are in, shouldn’t you fulfill the bet?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Fan imdiately clapped his hands and shouted to everyone, "Could everyone please quiet down a mont, we have a friend here who’s going to perform a little show for our entertainnt. Let’s all watch!"
