Chapter 360: Chapter 359: Extrely Dominant

After dealing with a few watchdogs from the Dongzheng Court, Ye Fan continued forward. At last, in the center of the Ice Glacier Grassland, he saw an ice lake. The lake was vast, spanning dozens of miles, but surprisingly, it was not completely frozen over.

Could there be sothing special about this water? Regardless, the sight was both shocking and unexpected.

Ye Fan quickly approached the lake’s edge and reached down to touch the water. "So cold!" He was stunned once again. Although the water wasn’t frozen solid, its temperature felt several tis colder than the surrounding ice.

At that mont, a nearby Martial Artist spoke. "This place is already under the Dongzheng Emperor’s control. It’s not a good thing for you to have co here so rashly. You’re acting foolishly!"

Ye Fan turned to see a Divine Land Martial Artist sitting calmly by the lake, his eyes closed, not even bothering to look up. He was a middle-aged man with a highly imposing air. Ye Fan despised people who put on such airs. In his estimation, the man’s strength was likely on par with Zhan Xiong and Gongsun Chou—above the King Level but below the Emperor Level, making him a Half-step Emperor Level expert.

"And yet you’ve charged in here just the sa," Ye Fan pointed out.

"I was allowed in here with the Dongzheng Emperor’s tacit consent."

"Oh?" Ye Fan looked at him with curiosity.

The man continued, "Although the Dongzheng Emperor is powerful, he can’t obtain the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal by himself. Therefore, he needs our help!"

"Help? Is there so special procedure for collecting the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal?" Ye Fan asked.

"Of course. There’s a big fellow in the water below. Tomorrow, the Dongzheng Emperor will make his move. Then, you’ll see why he needs us. On the other hand, since you dared to set foot here without his permission, he’ll probably co to ’clean you up’ very soon," the middle-aged man said arrogantly.

But Ye Fan looked down on such people and had no intention of wasting words with him. He was far more interested in what "big fellow" lay beneath the surface.

Looking around, he saw many other powerful experts by the lake. They all stared at him with peculiar expressions—so mocking, so sympathetic, and others simply waiting to watch him make a fool of himself. Ye Fan found he couldn’t get a read on this group at all. The majority were Divine Land Martial Artists, yet they were willing to serve the Dongzheng Emperor of the Northern Bear Country. It seed the man truly had a few tricks up his sleeve.

Just then, an overwhelming aura washed over the area.

"His Majesty, the Dongzheng Emperor!"

The crowd imdiately kowtowed. What a grand display of pomp. Ye Fan was speechless. These people were truly beyond saving. As Martial Artists, they didn’t possess a shred of dignity. Still, there was no denying that the Dongzheng Emperor’s thods were extrely domineering.

The Dongzheng Emperor, dressed in a grey robe and holding a scepter, had the typical appearance of soone from the Northern Bear Country. He radiated a powerful, chilling aura. He walked proudly into the crowd, but among them, one person neither kowtowed nor even spared him a glance.

The Dongzheng Emperor was furious. He fixed his gaze on Ye Fan and demanded, "Why are you not kneeling?"

"There’s not a soul in this world who can make

kneel," Ye Fan replied.

"It seems you do not fear death! Do you know why they are so respectful towards ?" the emperor retorted.

"I don’t know. I only know they have lost their dignity," Ye Fan shot back.

The faces of the crowd soured, but the Dongzheng Emperor declared, "It’s because their lives are in my hands! If I want them dead, they will die at any mont!"

"Then there’s nothing to be done about it," Ye Fan stated calmly.

The Dongzheng Emperor gave him another look. "I’ll give you one chance: serve . If you refuse, I’ll have you killed right now!"

"Serve you? Are you worthy?" Ye Fan scoffed.

At that mont, the Dongzheng Emperor moved. His scepter flared with a blinding burst of light. The complexions of the crowd changed; they knew he was about to unleash his power. Waving his scepter, he sent a beam of light shooting toward Ye Fan.

"Break!"

Ye Fan drew the Yuanhong Sword and slashed forward. The sword and the light beam collided, erupting in a massive explosion that instantly cracked the surrounding glaciers. The crowd was shocked. They hadn’t expected Ye Fan to withstand a strike from the Dongzheng Emperor without being at a disadvantage. It seed he was incredibly strong.

The Dongzheng Emperor didn’t stop there, charging toward Ye Fan to continue his assault. The two began their ultimate showdown. The Yuanhong Sword clashed with the Dongzheng Emperor’s scepter again and again, each impact triggering an explosion. The other Martial Artists were forced to retreat, as the power radiating from the two combatants was simply too terrifying. The Dongzheng Emperor then hamred his scepter down against Ye Fan’s Yuanhong Sword. A blast erupted at the point of impact, sending both n back to their original positions.

The emperor stared at Ye Fan. "You’re a Supre!"

Everyone was instantly stunned. Another Supre! It was well-known that the Dongzheng Emperor, the Great Emperor of the Dongzheng Court, was in the Supre Realm. But they never imagined that Ye Fan, who looked to be in his twenties, was also a Supre-level expert. This barren land was normally deserted, yet today, two Supres had appeared.

"That’s right," Ye Fan confird, causing another stir among the crowd.

The Dongzheng Emperor said, "Since you are a Supre, you don’t need to kneel. Instead, you can cooperate with ."

"Cooperate?" Ye Fan eyed him skeptically. There was no guarantee of trust when cooperating with an outsider like him.

"That’s right," the emperor explained. "The Thousand-Year Ice Crystal is guarded by an Ice Qilin that resides at the bottom of this lake. We can join forces to slay it."

Ye Fan knew of the Ice Qilin. It was a top-tier Spiritual Beast. Even the Grassland Bear and the Hyena King, which had evolved sentience, were no match for it. Having the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal guarded by such a creature was indeed a major problem.

"And how would we divide the spoils after we succeed?" he asked.

"Each according to his ability," the Dongzheng Emperor replied calmly.

"Oh, I see. In that case, whether I cooperate or not will depend on my mood. It might be better if we each rely on our own ability to slay the Ice Qilin anyway," Ye Fan declared.

The Dongzheng Emperor said nothing more. He turned to the other Martial Artists and commanded, "Maintain a full periter!"

"Yes!" they responded in unison.

After the Dongzheng Emperor had left, Ye Fan felt his internal organs churning. The man was not weak; in their fiercest clash, Ye Fan had actually sustained a minor injury.

anwhile, after reaching a deserted spot, the Dongzheng Emperor’s arrogant aura vanished. Blood trickled from the hand he held behind his back. That young man is truly extraordinary. I thought I would have no competition here, but this powerful brat from the Divine Land has actually shown up. He is a variable that I must guard against! The unexpected appearance of a wrench in the works left a sour taste in the Dongzheng Emperor’s mouth. He had been planning for a long ti to obtain the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal and never imagined an anomaly like Ye Fan would appear. After all, his opponent was also in the Supre Realm and couldn’t be underestimated.

Of course, the Dongzheng Emperor didn’t yet know that the n he had sent to find the Bengyu had been killed by Ye Fan. He even believed his subordinates had already succeeded. He had already arrived at the Ice Glacier Grassland before any news could have reached him, because to him, the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal was far more important than the Bengyu.

The Dongzheng Emperor mulled it over for a mont, then muttered in a low, sinister voice, "No one will stop

from seizing the Thousand-Year Ice Crystal!"
