Chapter 276: Chapter 275: Though Distant, Must Be Pursued to the End
Ye Fan said, "When I first stepped into the King-level Realm, I had the sa thoughts and feelings as you do now. However, the higher you stand, the higher you want to break through. Only when you enter the Emperor Level do you realize that it is rely the beginning of the path of Martial Arts!"
"What?" Black Fog was shocked. He had not expected Ye Fan to have already broken through to the Emperor Level, but it made sense. Although he worked for the Heavenly King Hall, Black Fog knew that without them, breaking through to the King-level would have been a distant dream, let alone the Emperor Level.
Ye Fan continued, "Whether it’s you or , we both have a long journey ahead. You can consider this your starting point."
"Yes!" Black Fog nodded imdiately.
To consider the King-level the beginning of Martial Arts is arrogant, but there’s a profound truth to it. The path of Martial Arts is truly endless!
At that mont, he said to Ye Fan, "Chief, I want to know what the Emperor Level is like. How strong is it?"
Ye Fan asked, "Do you really want to know?"
"Yes, I really want to know. I want to see how far I am from the Emperor Level," Black Fog said with determination.
"Alright, I’ll show you," Ye Fan replied.
The two stood in the center of the great hall. Black Fog made his move, unleashing his strongest combat state. As a King-level Realm warrior, he was very confident in his strength. He moved swiftly, reaching Ye Fan in the blink of an eye.
Then, Ye Fan effortlessly blocked his strongest attack.
What? Impossible! Black Fog was astounded. He thought his mightiest strike, even if it couldn’t defeat Ye Fan, should have at least put him on the back foot! He never expected Ye Fan to parry it so effortlessly.
Then, it was Ye Fan’s turn.
"Pure Yang Power!"
An intensely firm and pure Gang Qi coalesced in Ye Fan’s hand before roaring toward Black Fog.
Black Fog struggled to defend himself but was ultimately defeated. Gasping for breath, he stared at Ye Fan. The attack had been terrifying; in its presence, he found he did not even have the courage to resist.
"Do you understand now?" Ye Fan asked.
Black Fog nodded. "I understand. I still have a long way to go!"
"Correct. There are no shortcuts on the path of martial cultivation, and there is no end. Both you and I have a long journey ahead, and we don’t know when we’ll reach our destination," Ye Fan said.
Black Fog was in awe of Ye Fan’s strength. Indeed, those with such heaven-sent talent are on another level. This only solidified Black Fog’s determination to follow him.
Afterward, Ye Fan summoned Duanlang, the outstanding disciple Black Fog had previously introduced.
"Chief!" Duanlang said. His personality was much like Black Fog’s—a stoic martial arts fanatic. Aided by the Heavenly King Hall’s abundant resources, he had already advanced to beco an Innate Expert, a truly rapid progression.
Ye Fan said with satisfaction, "You’ve progressed quickly!"
"It is all thanks to your cultivation, Chief!" Duanlang stated firmly.
Ye Fan smiled. "That also required your own effort. I will have the Heavenly King Hall spare no expense in training you. I hope you won’t disappoint the entire hall!"
"Yes!" Duanlang said excitedly, his dark eyes flashing with boundless ambition.
「The next day」
Ye Fan gathered the high-ranking mbers of the Heavenly King Hall.
"I am pleased that everyone has successfully completed the tasks I assigned," he said. "However, the Heavenly King Hall cannot afford to beco complacent! The underworld is rife with hidden currents. To stand firm in this cruel world, we must continue to evolve!"
He continued, his voice hardening, "Last ti, the Shadow Stream Master went too far, injuring many of our Heavenly King Hall brothers. He escaped that day, but this is a debt we must rember. Anyone who attacks the Heavenly King Hall will be hunted down and destroyed, no matter how far they run!"
"Hunted down and destroyed, no matter how far they run!" the group of Martial Artists roared, invigorated.
Ye Fan nodded. "Good. I see you all hate the Shadow Stream Master and his many samurai. You are all hot-blooded n of iron! The ti for revenge has co."
Excitent surged through the crowd. Their eyes filled with hatred. In that last battle, they had lost too many people, many of whom they considered brothers. This was a debt that had to be repaid.
Ye Fan announced, "We strike the day after tomorrow. I will let the Shadow Stream Master and all the Japan ninja know that the n of the Divine Land are not to be trifled with!"
"Yes!" the crowd roared.
Ye Fan departed, and the senior mbers imdiately began preparing for the operation, knowing it required careful planning.
He then summoned Miyaji Aoi, the Japanese female spy he had turned from the Jintian Group.
"You should be quite familiar with Japan," he said to her. "You will accompany us on our mission there the day after tomorrow."
"Yes, Master!" Miyaji Aoi replied resolutely.
Ye Fan then asked, "The force we are going to attack is the one you once served. Can you really bring yourself to do it?" This was a crucial point, but Ye Fan still trusted her.
"Master, it is true I once served them, but they never treated
like a human being," Miyaji Aoi replied. "It wasn’t until I t you that I learned how wonderful freedom is! Rest assured, Master. I swear on my life that I will show no rcy on the battlefield!" she declared with certainty.
Ye Fan believed her completely. With his power, if Miyaji Aoi were to betray him, he would not hesitate to deliver a fatal blow, and no one would be able to save her.
"Good," Ye Fan said. "We set off the day after tomorrow. This ti, I will show the Shadow Stream Master and the many Japan ninja what the true might of a king is!"
In preparation for the operation, Ye Fan had gained a general understanding of the Japan Martial World. As the leader of the Musashi Sect ninja, the Shadow Stream Master was naturally powerful. However, in the Japan Martial World, there were many who were stronger than him. Legend told of Japan’s great martial arts families, like the Thousand Hands Family and the Uchiha Clan, which were filled with geniuses and masters. Their strength was said to be on par with the world’s top international powers.
Furthermore, there were tales of a forbidden place in Japan that enshrined a Nine-tailed Demon Fox. This Tailed Beast was said to possess terrifying power and was considered a totem by Japanese Martial Artists. Although it was just a legend, Ye Fan would not let his guard down. However, he was confident in his own strength, especially with the sharpness of Yuanhong. Even if he encountered the legendary Nine-tailed Demon Fox, he would feel no fear.
「Three days later」
The Heavenly King Hall departed. Since they were leaving the Divine Land to fight in Japan, Ye Fan did not bring a large force. He brought only one hundred n, all of them elite combatants from the Heavenly King Hall. Most of this group consisted of Postnatal Masters and Inner Sect Masters, with only a handful of Innate Experts. This was undeniably a formidable force.
Standing on the deck of the cruise ship and looking out at the distant ocean, Ye Fan was filled with seething hatred. The last ti he faced the Shadow Stream Master, he had nearly died. Now, having broken through to the King-level Realm and with the might of the Heavenly King Hall behind him, he was determined to settle the score.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be the King of Heaven—a man who repays kindness and avenges grievances.
