Chapter 275: Chapter 274: Unable to Hold Liquor

At that mont, an already dizzy Qin ngyao braced herself and said to Ye Fan, "I don’t believe I can’t drink you under the table!"

"Oh really? Bring it on! I’ll drink as much as you can pour," Ye Fan teased.

He could say without exaggeration that when it ca to drinking capacity, these beauties in front of him were a piece of cake.

Then, Qin ngyao mixed several types of alcohol, took the concoction into the kitchen for so unknown adjustnts, and then brought it back to Ye Fan, saying, "Drink up! I made this specially for you. At least three glasses!"

Ye Fan was instantly speechless. Staring at the bizarre, multi-colored drink before him, he felt his courage fail him for the first ti.

Still, it’s only three glasses. It shouldn’t be a huge problem.

Ye Fan imdiately downed three glasses of the cocktail, let out a boozy burp, and declared, "Co on! Keep ’em coming!"

But when he reached for the fourth glass, Ye Fan knew he was in trouble. He boasted of being able to drink a thousand cups without getting drunk, but now he felt a wave of nausea from the re sll of the alcohol. He had to admit it was an awful feeling.

Qin ngyao slamd her hand on the table. "Co on, drink more! This lady will drink with you!"

But Ye Fan replied, "Laozi’s not in the right state today. I’ll drink you to death another ti!"

Saying he wasn’t in the right state was a lie; the truth was he simply couldn’t drink anymore. He had no idea what ungodly mixture he had just consud. Sour, spicy, bitter, salty—all sorts of flavors assaulted his senses.

So, it was perfectly normal that he was now defeated by the alcohol.

Qin ngyao was incredibly proud, for she had finally managed to drink her brother-in-law under the table.

His head spinning, Ye Fan stumbled and swayed in a drunken haze. He vaguely felt Qin ngyao fall onto him, and he shoved her away.

Then he staggered toward a room upstairs.

You could say he was completely out of it, moving purely on muscle mory. All he could recall was opening a door to a room and collapsing onto the bed.

In his hazy state, Ye Fan realized there was another woman lying next to him. He was far too drunk to know who she was, but inebriation and impulsiveness often go hand in hand. He imdiately pounced.

The woman didn’t resist, letting Ye Fan do as he pleased. She must be one of my won. And since she’s mine, there’s no problem with being a little bold and reckless.

He had lost all conscious thought. Acting purely on instinct, he threw himself upon her.

He fell into it and moved with wild abandon. In the dimness, he heard a sharp cry, followed by a searing pain as fingernails raked across his back.

The pain didn’t trouble him. On the contrary, it only spurred him on.

He quickened his pace, vaguely hearing heavy, muffled groans, but in his drunken state, how could he possibly care about such things?

About an hour later, Ye Fan stopped. The woman bit down hard on his neck, but he was too far gone to care about any of it.

「The next day」

Ye Fan woke with a jolt. Looking at the bedsheets, he found nothing but a stain of blood.

I’m in trouble! I got into the wrong bed last night. I was way too impulsive... Impulsiveness always has a price, and I guess this is it.

He wasn’t sure who the woman was. He tried hard to rember, but his mory was a total blank.

I’m going to have to pay for this.

So, he staggered downstairs, where he found Qin ngyao, Chen Zihan, Luo Ling, Mu Wanxin, and Tang Yurou having a al.

He imdiately began a process of elimination. The woman last night was a virgin. That ans it definitely wasn’t Mu Wanxin or Tang Yurou. That leaves Luo Ling, Chen Zihan, and Qin ngyao. Only those three are suspects.

He sat on the sofa in silence, observing the won closely. However, they were all the picture of composure.

Clearly, that tactic had failed. So, Ye Fan thought of a new strategy: watch how they walked.

Walking is where they’re most likely to slip up.

Yet, the won still walked with an untroubled, airy grace. Ye Fan had miscalculated again.

Just then, he saw Qin ngyao head to the kitchen and followed her at once. He said to her, "ngyao, do you rember what happened last night?"

"I don’t rember. What’s wrong?" Qin ngyao asked, puzzled.

Ye Fan pressed, "Are you sore... anywhere?"

"Scoundrel!" Qin ngyao imdiately threw a handkerchief at his face, her cheeks flushing red as she ran out.

Definitely not her, Ye Fan concluded.

He then approached Luo Ling and Chen Zihan. These two remained the most likely suspects, although he couldn’t completely rule out Qin ngyao. But his intuition pointed to these two first.

Both Chen Zihan and Luo Ling were giving him the cold shoulder, leaving him completely snubbed.

Finally, he caught Chen Zihan as she was heading out alone.

Ye Fan imdiately blocked her path.

"What... what are you doing?"

Chen Zihan, who had a gentle personality, couldn’t understand why Ye Fan was being so domineering.

Ye Fan asked, "Last night, did we...?"

His implication was obvious.

"How absurd!" Chen Zihan snapped before getting into her car. She had to rush to the school to teach, as it wasn’t the weekend.

Doesn’t look like it was her, either, he thought. Ye Fan was truly at a loss; the whole affair had beco a complete mystery.

Now, he set his sights on Luo Ling. She was the only one left.

But seeing Luo Ling bouncing around, full of life, it seed impossible that she’d have that much energy. Ye Fan was growing more and more speechless. What was he supposed to do?

For sothing like this to happen so mysteriously... I need an explanation, don’t I?

So, he brazenly approached Luo Ling and asked, "Luo Ling, last night, did we...?"

He made a suggestive gesture with his hands.

But Luo Ling just asked, "Are you trying to make a move on ?"

"No, that’s not what I an at all! I just want to verify sothing!" Ye Fan said awkwardly.

But Luo Ling retorted angrily, "If you wanted to make a move on , it’s not like I wouldn’t have cooperated. You don’t have to beat around the bush like this!"

Luo Ling’s retort gave Ye Fan a major headache.

How strange. Why would this happen, but no one will tell

who it was? What kind of logic is that?

Ye Fan was speechless. He was completely puzzled. Even a tiny hint would have been nice.

However, Ye Fan didn’t dwell on it for too long. He said his goodbyes and left, heading off to check on the Heavenly King Hall.

「Heavenly King Hall」

Arriving at the hall, Ye Fan asked Heavenly Defect, "Have you broken through to the Innate realm?"

"Boss, I have! And I believe that if I keep working hard, I can definitely break through to the King level!" Heavenly Defect declared, brimming with confidence.

But Ye Fan just kicked him in the rear. "You’re already this cocky after just breaking through to the Innate realm? Don’t you dare show off in front of Laozi until you reach the King level!"

Heavenly Defect was disheartened. He thought the boss would praise him a little, but he never expected this. If he wasn’t frustrated, who would be?

Earthly Defect, standing nearby, had learned his lesson. Ye Fan turned to him and asked, "Earthly Defect, what about you?"

"Boss, I have only broken through to the Innate realm. Please punish !"

"Then you’ll get your punishnt!"

Ye Fan once again kicked him in the backside. Earthly Defect was crestfallen. Why, despite being so humble and not as boastful as Heavenly Defect, could he still not escape Ye Fan’s punishnt?

Of course, in their hearts, both Heavenly Defect and Earthly Defect understood. Their boss hoped that they, and the entire Heavenly King Hall, would undergo a complete transformation in their strength.

Just then, Black Fog walked over.

"You broke through!" Ye Fan said with a smile.

Black Fog also smiled slightly. "I did. Only after entering the King level did I realize just how vast the world of Martial Arts truly is!"

Reaching the King level had been his lifelong dream. Now that Black Fog had finally made the leap, both his strength and his ntality had changed dramatically.
