Chapter 195: Chapter 194 Divine Beast Appears
After staying in the Yan Clan for three days, the day of the ceremony finally arrived. The entire clan began to buzz with an excitent not seen since Ye Fan’s arrival.
They were all preparing for one thing: Alice’s Divine Imperial Inheritance.
The inheritance ritual would baptize Alice, allowing her to undergo a new level of transformation. For this reason, today was the most eventful day the Yan Clan had seen in two thousand years.
Rare Spirit Fruits filled the grand hall, and Ye Fan had no intention of missing this opportunity for a free feast. He grabbed a Spirit Fruit and so of the liquor brewed from them, taking a bite of fruit followed by a sip of liquor. It was remarkably delightful, and he knew consuming these Spirit Fruits would be greatly beneficial to his cultivation.
If only there were won, too. Then I could truly experience the joy of guzzling liquor, gobbling at, and... well, you know what I an.
At that mont, the Great Elder approached Ye Fan. "There is sothing I need your help with," he said.
"What is it?" Ye Fan asked, curious what could be so grand as to require his help.
"You must have heard of our clan’s Divine Beast," the Great Elder said.
"What is your clan’s Divine Beast?" Ye Fan asked, puzzled. He rembered a mber of the Witch Clan ntioning a fearso Divine Beast hidden here, but he never expected it to belong to the Yan Clan.
"The Divine Beast White Tiger," the Great Elder revealed. "It’s incredibly powerful. Although it has temporarily accepted the Holy Daughter, her current strength is insufficient to control it. During tonight’s inheritance, however, she *must* control the Divine Beast. This will help her in the future, so I would like you to help
subdue it!"
"?"
Ye Fan was montarily speechless. While he didn’t know the full extent of the Divine Beast White Tiger’s power, he was certain it was imnse. After all, a creature couldn’t earn the title of Divine Beast without being formidably powerful. Ye Fan was inclined to refuse. He might be tired of life, but that didn’t an he had a death wish.
"I’m afraid I’m not capable of this task," he said.
"It won’t be just you. The Clan Leader and you will work together to intimidate the Divine Beast, ensuring it fully submits to the Holy Daughter. Currently, the Divine Beast only recognizes the previous Holy Daughter, so we must do it this way."
Since it was for Alice’s benefit, Ye Fan found he had no good reason to refuse.
"Alright, I’ll help," he agreed.
But the Great Elder’s sinister smile made Ye Fan uneasy. He had a feeling this wouldn’t go smoothly.
The altar was adorned with sacred fresh flowers. The Great Elder approached the base of the altar and announced to the assembled Yan Clan, "Pray for the Holy Daughter! Comnce the inheritance ceremony!"
The crowd of people obediently began to pray, starting the inheritance ceremony.
"May the Holy Daughter take the stage," he declared loudly.
At that mont, Alice, wearing a floral crown, was led forward by several Yan Clan won. Dressed in a flowing white garnt, she looked like an angel descended from the heavens. Alice looked so ethereal and sacred that even Ye Fan couldn’t help but stare for a few monts.
I never thought this little witch could clean up so well. She’s actually quite easy on the eyes.
The Yan Clan won sprinkled floral dew on Alice, a symbol of sanctity collected from a hundred flowers that very morning.
"Release the Divine Beast!" the Great Elder commanded.
The stone doors behind the altar slid open, and the roar of the White Tiger echoed out, chilling everyone to the bone. Even the mbers of the Yan Clan were terrified. The White Tiger’s roar was terrifying, like rolling thunder, and it even frightened Alice.
A grim expression crossed Ye Fan’s face. He realized he didn’t stand a chance against this Divine Beast; the White Tiger was likely many levels above him.
After the roar subsided, the Yan Clan Patriarch handed a sacred scepter to Alice. "This is our clan’s most powerful Divine Artifact," he said. "Today, it is entrusted to you, our Holy Daughter. May you bring glory to the world!"
Although Alice detested these cliché rituals, she played along, considering all the effort her people had put into the ceremony.
"Subdue the Divine Beast and have it acknowledge the Holy Daughter as its master!" the Yan Clan Patriarch instructed.
The crowd grew invigorated. Though the Yan Clan was small, the complete submission of the Divine Beast would be a symbol of their true acceptance of the Holy Daughter.
The Yan Clan Patriarch glanced at Ye Fan, signaling him to make a move.
Ye Fan walked up to the stone gate. He hesitated for a mont, but then the Yan Clan Patriarch pushed him from behind.
"Damn it!" Ye Fan was furious. So much for common decency!
Upon entering the gloomy, ice-cold Dark World, Ye Fan cautiously surveyed his surroundings. He felt a powerful aura approaching. When he turned around, he realized his promised backup hadn’t arrived. A wave of fury washed over him.
I’ve been tricked!
ROAR!
Ye Fan saw two green eyes gleaming fiercely as they stared at him. Then, the darkness began to part, and a Divine Beast larger than an elephant appeared. It stood at least seven or eight ters tall, making Ye Fan seem minuscule before it. Its coat was pure white without a single fleck of color. The long, sharp fangs protruding from its maw were terrifying, and its powerful, athletic limbs were a clear symbol of strength.
ROAR!
It charged swiftly toward Ye Fan.
Holy shit! How am I supposed to subdue this thing?!
If he hadn’t dodged quickly, he would have ended up in the White Tiger’s mouth. The White Tiger pivoted and charged at him again. Ye Fan stretched out his arms to block the attack, but the tiger swiped a claw lightly, and he was sent flying, smashing harshly against the wall.
The White Tiger roared as it closed in.
This is it. I’m dood. They really screwed
over this ti.
However, a swift figure appeared at that mont and punched the White Tiger. The beast roared, abandoning Ye Fan to charge at the newcor instead.
The Yan Clan Patriarch had made his move. He was stronger than Ye Fan, a royal-level Martial Artist, and the first one Ye Fan had ever t. He fought relentlessly with the White Tiger but, despite his strength, he was no match for it. After several rounds, he hadn’t managed to injure the White Tiger and was left gasping for breath.
"Kid, what are you waiting for? Make a move!" he bellowed in frustration. I’m fighting my heart out here, and that brat is just standing there catching his breath! If I could, I’d beat him to death myself!
"I’m coming!" Ye Fan shouted. He tried to strike the White Tiger’s weak point, but its tail swept out.
"Not good!"
The next thing he knew, the hapless Ye Fan was struck in the waist by the White Tiger’s tail. A jolt of excruciating pain shot through him as he was sent flying backward, crashing right into the Yan Clan Patriarch.
Facing the powerful White Tiger, their confidence faltered.
"Where is its weak point?" Ye Fan asked.
"It has no weak points at all!" the Yan Clan Patriarch declared proudly.
"Damn it! What’s there to be proud of? We should be running!" Ye Fan shot back, rendered speechless. Seriously? Claiming he could subdue the Divine Beast White Tiger when it has no weaknesses? He was just asking for a beating!
