Chapter 169: Chapter 168: Bringing Back to Life
Tang Yurou nodded hurriedly, and Ye Fan explained, "Your mother’s injury is very serious. Her nerves have suffered catastrophic damage, leaving them in a half-dead state. It seems her unfulfilled wishes are the only thing keeping her going, but her condition is worsening by the day. We can’t delay any longer! I need so equipnt."
"A set of silver needles will suffice. I will use my Inner Strength to realign her nerves."
"Okay, Ye Fan. We’re counting on you," Mo Chou said, his voice filled with emotion. "If you can save Wan Chou, I’ll agree to anything, even if you ask for the entire Mo Family fortune! In my heart, nothing is more important than Wan Chou and Tang Yurou."
His hands were trembling. For the past year, he had exhausted every possible option to treat Tang Wanchou’s condition, but nothing had worked. Now, Ye Fan had given him hope.
"There’s no need for that. I’m doing this for Tang Yurou, because she is my woman!"
Hearing him declare that she was "his woman" moved Tang Yurou deeply. Mo Chou imdiately went to make the preparations. Procuring the set of silver needles Ye Fan needed was a simple task for him.
At that mont, Tang Yurou said to Ye Fan, "Darling, thank you. Without you, I would have collapsed long ago."
Ye Fan smiled. "You’re welco. I’d do anything for you." With that, he pulled her into his arms.
About an hour later, Mo Chou returned with the silver needles. They looked as if they had seen many years of use.
Ye Fan took the needles and said to Mo Chou, "Uncle, I’ll need you and Tang Yurou to be my assistants." This was because there were certain areas where it would be inappropriate for him to touch her. One had to observe certain proprieties, especially since the woman on the bed was to be one of his mothers-in-law.
"Alright!"
"Yes!"
They both nodded. Tang Yurou then unfastened Tang Wanchou’s clothing, and Ye Fan imdiately took up the silver needles, plunging the first one into an acupoint on her head. Although Tang Wanchou didn’t regain consciousness, it was clear that she was in agony.
Ye Fan inserted two more needles. Tang Wanchou let out a muffled groan. The sight made Tang Yurou and Mo Chou’s scalps tingle, as every single needle was being plunged directly into one of Tang Wanchou’s acupoints—a procedure that undeniably required absolute precision.
Suddenly, Ye Fan tossed Tang Wanchou’s body into the air. He then flicked several more silver needles from his hand, each one striking a fatal acupoint.
This terrified Mo Chou. Though he wasn’t a Martial Artist, he knew enough to recognize that these were all fatal acupoints. Ye Fan’s healing thod was truly unconventional.
In fact, this was Ye Fan’s own unique treatnt thod, which he called the Death Healing thod. It carried an imnse risk; a single mistake could be fatal. However, his technique was flawless, so he felt no fear.
When all thirteen silver needles were embedded in her acupoints, Tang Wanchou’s body began to fall.
"Out!" Ye Fan roared.
Instantly, the silver needles shot out from Tang Wanchou’s acupoints one by one. They flew across the room and embedded themselves deep into the wall, leaving Mo Chou utterly stunned. Silver needles were incredibly pliable; burying them in a concrete wall should have been impossible. Yet, Ye Fan had made the impossible a reality.
He then unleashed his trendously powerful Inner Strength—the energy of a King of Innate Masters—and channeled it directly into Tang Wanchou’s body. A potent force imdiately began to circulate within her.
"Wake up!" Ye Fan bellowed.
Tang Wanchou coughed up a mouthful of black blood and slowly opened her eyes. After being lost in a deep slumber for an entire year, she was finally awake. Just then, Ye Fan’s body went limp, and he collapsed to the floor.
"Wan Chou!"
"Mother!"
Forgetting Ye Fan entirely, Tang Yurou and Mo Chou rushed to Tang Wanchou’s side.
Tang Wanchou’s head was spinning. When she saw the young woman before her, who bore a striking resemblance to herself, her composure shattered. She said weakly, "My daughter!"
"Yes!" Tang Yurou nodded through her tears.
Tang Wanchou was overjoyed, though her body was still incredibly weak and feeble. After all, she hadn’t opened her eyes in a year.
"Ye Fan, you’re exhausted. Go and get so rest," Mo Chou said to Ye Fan, feeling a bit awkward for having only just rembered his state.
"Alright," Ye Fan replied. He desperately needed to rest. The amount of Inner Strength he had just expended was imnse; the energy Tang Wanchou required had far surpassed his expectations. If he didn’t rest, his body would truly suffer for it. This was a day for a family reunion, so Ye Fan tactfully excused himself, knowing they needed ti to talk.
Just then, Tang Wanchou asked, "A mont ago, I felt a powerful force pull
back from an endless slumber. Who was that?"
"That was Ye Fan, Tang Yurou’s boyfriend," Mo Chou replied imdiately.
"His power is formidable. In terms of Inner Strength, I’ve never encountered anyone with a more profound reserve than his. To think he is my daughter’s boyfriend!" Tang Wanchou felt a deep sense of relief.
At this point, Mo Chou said, "I’ve brought our daughter back. Now, you two can have a nice long talk!"
"Then what are you still doing here? Get out! Don’t interrupt my conversation with my daughter!" Despite her weakness, Tang Wanchou imdiately snapped at him.
Mo Chou was instantly speechless. Couldn’t she spare
a little dignity in front of our daughter? This is so humiliating. But I don’t dare protest; I am, after all, a man who’s afraid of his wife. If Ye Fan heard that, he’d surely say there are no n who fear their wives, only n who respect them.
And so, the mother and daughter began to chat away.
Ye Fan was sitting on a beach chair, sipping a cocktail. The cool sea breeze offered a perfect reprieve from the heat, and by now, he had almost fully recovered. Although his reserves of Inner Strength were depleted, he had a way to replenish them.
Just then, Mo Chou walked over, pouring himself a drink as well. He said to Ye Fan, "Ye Fan, thank you. You didn’t just save Wan Chou; you saved the entire Mo Family!"
"You’re welco. I only did what I ought to do," Ye Fan replied. He had done all of this for Tang Yurou. For her, any effort was worthwhile. In fact, he would do the sa for any of the won he cared for.
Mo Chou continued, "If it weren’t for you, I honestly don’t know what we would have done. Ye Fan, thank you... but I must ask you to help
one more ti."
"Oh?" Ye Fan was curious what else Mo Chou could possibly need help with.
"Wanchou is awake and Tang Yurou has been found, so I should be content. But the Mo Family is still in crisis. I’ve decided that after this crisis is over, Wan Chou and I will retire from the business world and let Tang Yurou take over. Unfortunately, beset by threats from within and without, you’re the only one who can save the Mo Family. Ye Fan, I’m begging you, please help us one more ti. Help Tang Yurou. I’ll even get on my knees!"
Ye Fan quickly stopped him. "Uncle, there’s no need for that. With these internal and external threats, the first thing I need to do is get a clear understanding of the Green Emperor Sect’s true strength. Only then can I prescribe the right redy for this ailnt."
