Hugo's heart felt like it was trying to escape his chest. The club's booming music, flickering neon lights, and the swaying bodies of dancers made it hard to think straight.

His panic only grew as he scanned the dimly lit strip club for an escape route. The air slled like cheap perfu and sweat, and the bass from the speakers was rattling his brain.

He didn't have ti to waste. Jessica was waiting for him outside, and he couldn't risk her leaving—or worse, wandering off with so other guy if the effects of the spiked drink beca too much.

Just imagining it made his stomach flip. He clenched his fists, muttering under his breath, "Co on, Hugo, think! You're supposed to be a Casanova now, not so panicked idiot!"

That's when he saw him.

The towering bodyguard with the scorpion tattoo. The guy's muscles looked like they could bench press a small car, and his face was twisted in a permanent scowl.

And worse—he was heading right for Hugo, his fists clenched like he was about to squash a bug!

"Oh no," Hugo whispered, his palms turning clammy. 'He's coming for . He knows who I am! He knows I ran away with Don Juan's cash!! Is he coming here to beat ?'

Hugo didn't stick around to find out. He turned and bolted into the crowd, bumping into a man holding a drink and nearly spilling it all over him.

"Sorry! So sorry!" Hugo squeaked, pushing past a couple making out against a pole. He could feel his legs shaking as he zig-zagged through the chaos, praying to whatever system deity existed to save him.

He burst through a door marked "Restroom" and slamd it shut behind him, leaning against it as he caught his breath. "Okay, Hugo," he panted. "You made it this far. Now what?"

The restroom was definitely not as posh as the outside was. Dim yellow lights flickered above cracked tiles. The sinks were grimy, with water dripping from a rusty tap.

A broken hand dryer hung on the wall, its wires poking out like the club had long given up on fixing it.

From one of the stalls, strange noises echoed—grunts, giggles, and the unmistakable sound of soone chanting, "Go, go, go!"

It sounded like a mix between an underground fight club and karaoke night. Hugo winced and took a cautious step back.

Sitting on the counter by the sinks was a bright red hoodie. But it wasn't just any hoodie—it was a Spiderman hoodie. Complete with a hood that could zip up into a full-face mask. Enjoy new adventures from empire

Hugo blinked. His first thought was, 'Who the hell wears Spiderman rch to a strip club?' His second thought was, 'Wait… this could actually work.'

He stared at the hoodie, his brain whirring. Could he really do this? Could he put on so random hoodie he found in a strip club bathroom? The idea was both brilliant and horrifying.

"This is insane," Hugo muttered, pacing back and forth. "What if it's dirty? What if it slls? What if the owner cos back looking for it?!"

He looked at the door and imagined the scorpion-tattooed bodyguard busting in at any second. "Yeah, no. I'd rather sll like regret than get my face punched in."

Muttering a string of apologies to whoever the original owner might've been, Hugo grabbed the hoodie and slipped it on. The fabric was slightly damp, and Hugo nearly fainted.

"This is so wrong on so many levels," he groaned, zipping up the hood and pulling it over his head. The mask part fit snugly, covering his face entirely. He looked in the cracked mirror.

"Well, if Spiderman can fight villains, I can sneak out of a club."

Back in the main area of the club, the woman in the red dress—surrounded by her entourage of suited n—was growing impatient.

She leaned against the couch, her polished nails tapping on the armrest. Her short, crimson gown shimred under the club's neon lights, drawing attention from everyone around her.

"Still no word?" she asked, her tone calm but icy.

One of the n stepped forward, bowing his head slightly. "No, boss. We haven't heard anything yet."

She sighed, glancing at the diamond-encrusted watch on her wrist. "They're late," she murmured, her golden eyes narrowing.

She furrowed her brows, irritation flickering in her golden eyes. Letting out another soft sigh, she straightened up, scanning the surroundings with her calm gaze.

Suddenly, her eyes brightened.

Through the crowd, a man in a Spiderman hoodie was attempting to slip past her entourage, moving with the awkwardness of soone who had clearly never worn a superhero costu before.

She blinked. Her perfectly arched brow lifted in confusion. "What… in the seven realms of hell is that?"

One of her n noticed her gaze and followed it to the hoodie-wearing figure. A grin spread across his face. "Boss, has soone finally caught your eye?"

She shot him a sharp look, but the corner of her lips curled up in amusent. "Seems so…" she said, her eyes following the masked figure as he shuffled toward the door.

Hugo, anwhile, was sweating buckets under the mask. He could feel her gaze burning into his back, and it took everything in him not to bolt straight for the door.

"Just keep walking, Hugo," he whispered under his breath. "You're Spiderman now. Spiderman doesn't panic. Spiderman doesn't care about dangerous mob ladies. Spiderman just… leaves."

Little did he know, his poorly conceived disguise had not only caught the attention of the most dangerous woman in the club but also planted a seed of curiosity in her mind.

How was he to know she had a Spidey related fetish?!
